Business Connect: Did everything come easy, or you have your story of struggle? Sachiin: I quit my job with DHL Express in January 2004 as the Head-Direct Business Unit and went back to DHL in March for a sign-up. Now I was on the other side of the table as a “Vendor Partner” and had a greater responsibility to prove myself again. I could not fail now as I had chosen this one-way street to start my own company and make it a success story. This was the start of the struggle as we needed quality employees of our own, clients who would give us mandates and also pay us on time. For the first 8 months, I was doing Sales, Recruitment, Operations, Collections, Finances, and Administration too. I used to sit in the car park of a potential client, call him and tell him that I had just finished a meeting in the vicinity and would he be free for a meeting. Some met me, others were busy but then I did not give up.

Business Connect: In terms of your market, what do you feel the future holds for entrepreneurs? Sachiin: We require people to enter our industry with a vision and having long term goals. Sadly, there are many Mom & Pop shops operating from their respective residence who are there for a short term and spoil the market by cutting rates. Clients require value-added services and not cheaper rates Business Connect: Who is your role model in the business/ entrepreneurial world and what have you learned from the person? Sachiin: My role model is Dhirubhai Ambani for the mammoth conglomerate he built from scratch. Some learnings were to roll up your sleeves and work no matter whether the job or client is small or big, dream big but dream with your eyes wide open, and change your orbit, constantly.

Any Entrepreneur has to learn on his own as there are no academic courses to churn out one. At times there are hits and other times misses too but the journey has to be carried forward.

Business Connect: How are you giving back to society (CSR, if any)? Sachiin: I am the Honorary HR Director of Triumph Blood Bank since the last 5 years and all support like hiring or payroll management is free of cost. I am a Volunteer for the last 8 years with Kotak Education Foundation and have worked in 3 interventions of theirs. We have started “The Bluecrest Foundation” to support bright students coming from the weaker sections of the society.

Business Connect: What kind of clients do you serve any special mentions? Sachiin: DHL Express was our very first client and we built a good pool of talent on our payrolls from which DHL could cherry pick the best performing employees. We have done an RPO for a large multinational in background screening services where we hired 300 candidates to be put on our payrolls for a period of 3 months. We partnered a large insurance company on a pan India basis for staffing and sourcing 1500 employees.

Business Connect: Apart from work, what else do you like to spend your time doing? Sachiin: I have finished 4 half marathons, been on the Mount Kailash parikrama in Tibet, do a bungee jump. On my bucket list - I still want to make a second trip to Mount Kailash, do the Everest Base Camp trek and do a pilgrimage walk of 290 km in 9 days.

We partnered Infomedia India before it became a part of the Network 18 group. We used to have monthly meetings with the entire HR team to understand obstacles to hiring and ways to overcome them. We used to meet line managers to solve issues and even handheld all over recruits after they joined the company for a period of 3 months. The bonding and the rapport building with the HR team were so good that post these monthly meetings we used to explore all new eating joints in the vicinity. We were the only consultant who saw a popular Hindi film with the Head HR and his team at a local cinema.

Business Connect: What are the achievements and milestones of the company? Sachiin: I think that the biggest achievement or milestone for the company was to survive the economic downturn of 2009-11 and have clients and employees who have worked with us for more than 8 years. Without them, I would not be sitting down to pen this article for you.

Business Connect: How do you ensure unbreakable faith of clients in your company? Sachiin: We keep them updated on all new developments E.g. regards to compliances etc. We honestly tell them as to what is possible and what is not, no false hopes or promises. We respect our clients and are always professional with them. We give them a quality talent or “benchmark candidates” who will add value to them. The feedback that our candidate is doing well in the company bring a smile on the face of our consultant

Once you have identified your forte and understood how to use your skills suitably, be a man or a woman, nothing is far from your reach.

Ms. Bhuvaneshwari: Will ensure all our clients get the best workforce to match their job description with meager attrition and be an asset to the company in the long run. By giving our best service with extra mileage and asking for feedback. Though there is a rare chance, if at all if we foresee delay or non-availability of our services, we will keep them informed in the first place. Ms. Bhuvaneshwari: We are looking forward to giving employment for more women to work-from-home to utilize their education, knowledge, and experience and to get financial freedom. It was an abrupt change in thought, lifestyle, and language, things were in favor and I finished my M.B.A, but unfortunately, it was the time of recession. Due to which I couldn’t find a suitable job, I moved to Mumbai, gave various interviews, resided with relatives due to lack of finances and somehow managed to sustain my living.

Mr. Karna: More than a role model, I have stronger morals and values, I have core beliefs that I carry and have kept me strong. I work hard and in the right direction to meet the required value in the market, I entrust my faith in my co-workers and try to always target the right segment of the market. Business Connect: Apart from work, what else do you like to spend your time doing? Mr. Karna: I like to invest my time in reading and understanding about the market and the constant transformations, concepts, future potential etc. that happens in connection to my industry, like I have been going through a lot about the government inputs and the new plan accelerated in the year 2018 and that would be of a great help to my industry.

As they say ‘try and try again until you succeed’, I tried and bagged a decent job in the world’s largest Aluminum company, learned strategies and business plans. And in 2006 I sold major (54% stake) to a Japanese staffing company. Our company was valued at 4 million US dollars then.

Women have the capacity to multi-task and that is what being an entrepreneur demands. You have to keep track of numerous things and yet keep yourself sane enough to take the right decisions. Their natural sensitivity and empathy helps them to bring out the best and yet like a mother they can be hard for the good of the child. Women are in that regard naturally geared and and have always proved themselves worthy. In NET HR 90% of employees are women and even in our other verticals like the Education Company, they make up 60% of the staff.

Dr. Salunkhe avers that in the coming few years AI (Artificial Intelligence) will change a lot of things like an assessment of skills through robotic testing, tracking changes in the way entrepreneurial skills are developed etc. Portions and segments of workplace work will give way to Robots, so that would need a new set of IT people who would be able to track and ensure the Robots perform. In the future, it is anticipated that the management of the Robots would be a new set of skills and will give way to evolving self-learning Robots. The supervision arm would still have to be Human. It is a fouryear competition to design a robotic avatar that allows a minimally trained user through VR technology to immersively interact with and help another human in a remote environment. There is no immediate commercial benefit for Paracosma’s AR & VR clients, but the competition is an exciting chance to branch out into robotics, sensor tech, machine vision, AI, telecommunications and other fields that are necessary for success. What are the achievements and milestones of the company? Since Paracosma’s founding four years ago, we have been able to consistently grow our team, clients and revenues at a rapid and sustainable pace. This has been possible, in large part by turning one-time projects into long-term client relationships. We now have ongoing monthly and multi-year repeat business that creates a stable base from which to grow. The launch of our in-house developed VR game, called Unnamed VR, provides a great example of our capabilities for our enterprise clients, while providing a very entertaining experience for consumers.

Sleep: Poor Quality Studies have shown that nightshift work and sleep duration of fewer than six hours or greater than nine hours is detrimental to your health in terms of lack of proper sleep. Besides, taking sleep medication to obtain optimal hours of sleep does not ensure improved sleep quality, this will affect badly. How do you know if you have poor sleep quality or quantity? Lane’s experience and love of live theater has led him to his place as a theater historian. Lane has authored the books - Black Broadway: African Americans on the Great White Way, Jews on Broadway: An Historical Survey of Performers, Playwrights, Composers, Lyricists and Producers, 2d Ed. and Let’s Put on a Show!
