Welcome to issue 2 of FAQTOR‌
Our first issue far exceeded all of our expectations, thank you to all of our readers in all of those amazing countries around the world. You are the ones who inspire this magazine. Issue 2 is packed with SICK editorials from all parts of the world including London, Portugal, Spain and more.
We are experimenting with many forms of great fashion to find our niche. Thank you for believing in us.
We have added something for everyone in this magazine, from the sneaker lover, to the indie music junkie, to the high fashion devotee. I hope that you can find a little bit of yourself in this issue.

Coquille St Jacques (4 Servings/12 Scallops) Pomme Puree Ingredients: 5 Yukon Gold B Potatoes ½ Pint of Milk ¼ pound of butter 1 sprig of Thyme 2 pieces of black pepper corn ½ bay leaf 1 tablespoon of salt For Pomme Puree: Cook Potatoes without skins slowly in salted water, thyme, black pepper corn, and bay leaf. Pass potatoes through food mill. Bring Milk to a boil. Add milk to potatoes and finish with butter. Place aside covered, to keep warm. Basil Pesto Ingredients: 1 bunch of picked and blanched Basil 1 Pint of Olive Oil 1 Tablespoon of Salt For Basil Pesto: Blanch and shock picked basil leaves in ice water bath for 10 seconds. Remove, and squeeze water out of leaves. Put into a blender, and slowly add olive oil until a nice even consistency is achieved. Sea Weed Butter Ingredients: ½ bag of Tosaka multi-colored seaweed (wash off salt) 1 preserve lemon. Cut it in 4s and cut middles out ½ pint of Panko breadcrumbs ½ cup of lemon juice ½ pound of butter Wash salt off of seaweed For Sea Weed Butter: Chop washed sea weed finely. Small dice lemon preserve, and put to the side.

Take soft butter and whip. Slowly add sea weed. Add preserve lemon, lemon juice, and bread crumbs. Put in a plastic bag, roll, and place in the refrigerator until butter is firm. To Finish: 1 heirloom Tomato Warm Pomme Puree until it is hot. If potatoes are too thick, add milk slowly until it is smooth. Add basil pesto to pomme puree. Keep warm. Season both sides of scallops with salt, and then bring skillet to a high temperature with olive oil. Place scallops in skillet, and sear both sides until a nice coloration is achieved. Slice sea weed butter, put on top of scallops, and put under a broiler or a grill to melt the butter. Cut heirloom tomatoes in 3, and plate with pomme puree, and scallops
Boston Lettuce Salad (4 Servings) Ingredients: 15 Shallots 2/5 cups of E.V.O.O. 2/5 ounces of Dijon 1/5 cup of Canola Oil 1/5 cup of red wine vinegar 3 Boston lettuce heads 1/10 a cup of Tarragon 1/10 a cup of Chervil 1/10 a cup Parsley 1/10 a cup of chives For Vinaigrette: Mince a cup of shallots and confit in the E.V.O.O. and cool. Make vinaigrette and put aside. Shallots: Mince another cup, and slice the rest with a mandolin. Bring fryer to 250F, dust shallots with wondra flour in a china cap and place in fryer. If you do not have a fryer, heat up canola oil in a regular pot on a stovetop instead. When the shallots become soft and look to be sweated, reduce heat to 300F and cook until golden. Remove and immediately salt them. Pick Up: Have just leaves of herbs picked and toss in with lettuce, minced shallots, and vinaigrette. Top with fried shallots. 23

Justin Timberlake “The 20/20 Experience” JT’s first album since “FutureSex LoveSounds” is packed full of dance tracks and soulful ballads. The album has already celebrated a couple of weeks atop the Billboard charts so far, and his hit singles “Suit & Tie” and “Mirrors” are getting serious airplay on radio stations across the world. The 20/20 Experience was released on March 15, 2013. Daft Punk “Random Access Memories” Electronica duo Daft Punk is building up anticipation for their upcoming album by releasing a list of collaborators. The Album will include guest vocals from Pharrell Williams and Julian Casablancas. Random Access Memories will hit shelves and iTunes on May 21, 2013.
French Montana “Excuse my French” Hip-Hop fans are anxiously awaiting the release of French Montana’s latest project, Excuse my French. The album will include features from Diddy, Ne-Yo, Scarface, DJ Khaled and many more. Excuse my French hits stores on May 21, 2013. 37
INDIE MUSIC REVIEW Legacy Lamone Paid advertisement 23 year old Legacy Lamone is an aspiring Hip-Hop artist based out of Virginia. His edgy, raw and honest music can be heard up and down the East Coast from the Empire State to the nightclubs and beaches of Miami. His life experiences, both positive and negative, have been a major influence on the type of music he creates. Could there be a third Air Yeezy 2 color in the works? A few grainy images have surfaced online recently, and have been stirring up chatter within the sneaker community. The rumored third color is a bright red with a possible glow in the dark sole and snakeskin is used throughout the upper. We’ll keep you posted.
In other sneaker news, the Jordan Son of Mars Low model will make its debut on April 13th. The first model in the lineup feature a yellow upper, dark purple laces and cement, black & white detailing throughout and will retail for $140.
Also preparing for an April 13th release, the Nike Air Way Up will make its official debut at select retailers. The kicks come in three colorways and come in black/white, grey/white and red/white.
