IMAGES TAKEN DURING VARIOUS ACTIONS AND PROTESTS AGAINST THE PROPOSED EAST WEST LINK. For those paying attention, this highly contentious infrastructure project has illuminated the many flaws of political process’ and government/big business agenda. Every regulation set in place to stop something like this going ahead has been ignored, misused or contorted. Victoria Police has been used unashamedly as an instrument of the state, and new draconian move-on anti protest laws have been legislated that seriously limit basic human rights.

The Napthine government has spent large amounts of tax payer money, and used media influence to shove confusing and misleading propaganda down the throat of the public, seemingly to little avail.

There are currently two cases before the Supreme court in relation to this project; Anthony Murphy vs Victorian State Government & The Linking Melbourne Authority, and Moreland City Council & Yarra City Council vs Victorian State Government.

There is far too much wrong with the project to attempt to list here - please research it yourself.
