celebrate winter in waseca. it’s tradition! The 72nd Waseca Sleigh & Cutter Festival is a great reason to celebrate winter in Minnesota. This year’s growing list of events usually begins in January and runs through the end of February. The festival dates back to 1950 — the Waseca Sleigh & Cutter Festival started as the vision of a group of guys gathered in a local barber shop. Winter Charm on the Farm is held at Farmamerica on Jan. 22 and Feb. 12. Horse-drawn sleigh rides will be offered along with hot chocolate and s’mores to enjoy while standing around campfires. The Al Kunz Memorial Boys and Girls Hockey Tournament will be held Jan. 29-30 at the Waseca Community Arena. On the same days, Farmamerica is opening the site to all for people to bring their own snowshoes to go around the site or to cross-country ski around the site. Site walking tours, snow painting and a snowflake scavenger hunt are also planned. Information regarding ticket purchase can be found by checking
