A Uniquely American Cattle and Equestrian Ranch
T
he Robison Ranch is located in an area of Utah known for its wild and scenic landscapes. It is a rare private land holding adjacent to the public lands of the
1.8 million-acre Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. The Robison Ranch is comprised of 570 acres with live water, significant water rights, hay fields for the herd and an intensely private setting. The Robison Ranch raises registered Black Angus Cattle. The herd is expected to be 300 in 2016. Grazing permits allow the cattle to summer in the nearby mountains. All hay is produced on the ranch and the cattle are grass fed onsite.

An indoor 70,000-square-foot, heated, regulation-size equestrian arena, horse barn, pastures and large outdoor arena comprise the equestrian element of the ranch. Both working and show horses make up the equestrian aspect of the Robison Ranch. With meticulous attention to detail, the Robison Ranch has impressive infrastructures that has been developed from the raw land to create an efficient ranch operation. Structures include a shop building, hay storages, garages and wood shop, gas and diesel fuel storage tanks, pump house, horse barn, cattle barn, livestock and machine sheds and of course, the indoor arena. A turn-key operation!
Water is an essential element for the everyday life and longevity of the Robison Ranch, and is also aesthetically pleasing. There are well permits, water rights and plentiful irrigation shares. Boulder Creek flows along the southwest boundary year round. The main ranch home is a classic-style, 6,000-square-foot and features six bedrooms, six baths and a separate entrance ranch office. There are an additional six living quarters for guests and employees including homes, a bunkhouse and an apartment. The Robison Ranch is offered at $10,000,000. v

Considered the most valued land in the area due to its beauty, size and location, the property is owned by the prominent Duke family. It borders the Highline Canal and Trail and offers uninterrupted views of Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountains. For nearly 70 years, the family has enjoyed the rural qualities of living on such a large parcel of land, including raising livestock, intermingling with wildlife and admiring the expansive views of the mountains.

Colorado v Grand County v Kremmling
The High Plains Ranch in Kremmling, Colorado, is being offered for sale for the first time for $39,800,000. The 6,945-acre ranch – arguably the most action-packed luxury recreational ranch in the west, with its own private ski slopes – has been an idyllic, private retreat for one local family since 1999. The hope is that the Colorado paradise can provide another family with an exclusive getaway, filled with their own fond memories. Nestled in the high country, High Plains Ranch boasts amenities as grand as the Rocky Mountains that surround it. The ranch features a main lodge that would be the envy of any five-star resort, a well-appointed saloon and party barn suited for memorable gatherings, a hunting and ski lodge that acts as the perfect all-season basecamp for outdoor pursuits, and a giant workshop filled with toys to outfit any sportsperson’s appetite for outdoor adventure. High Plains Ranch is a year-round paradise, offering a four-season lifestyle – and it is all less than a two-hour drive from Denver, or minutes from the private jet accessible airport in Kremmling. There are wranglers to guide horseback rides, private pond and river fly fishing for trophy rainbows, miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, rafting on the Colorado River, ATV adventures for all skill levels, a paint-ball competition course, a sporting clays and shooting sports center. More outdoor activities than you can imagine to create a book of memories. Then in the fall, when the mornings are crisp and the aspens turn yellow, hundreds of elk begin to gather for their annual event making High Plains Ranch one of Colorado’s most exclusive private hunting reserves. Once snowfall hits the high country, the ranch becomes a winter wonderland with as many outdoor adventure activities as during the summer months. Start by hosting your family and friends to skiing the private slopes at High Plains, take a Snowcat tour, cross-country ski over 10 miles of carefully-manicured trails or just snowshoe through the wilderness. Then warm up at the mountain top ski lodge. There are two Snowcats that keep the property’s slopes and trails in perfect condition at all times during the winter. For the ultimate winter challenge experience, enjoy world-class tubing at its finest on a 20-acre winter adventure park. A warming hut provides a cozy place to enjoy a hot cup of cocoa. For a high-speed adventure, jump on one of a fleet of snowmobiles right onto trails that wind through the Colorado High Country. And if you still have the energy, the property also has a private hockey and ice skating rink that comes equipped with a Zamboni to ensure the ice surface is in perfect condition. “This ranch is in a class of its own among trophy properties, and it must be seen to be fully appreciated,” said the owner. “I purchased and developed the ranch as a place for my family – including 27 children and grandchildren – to enjoy, and they had incredible times here. Now that the grandchildren are grown or off to college, the time has come for another family to make memories of their own in this Colorado paradise. There truly isn’t another property as exclusive and special as High Plains Ranch, and we’re looking forward to introducing all that it has to offer to its next owner.”
