The Rocking H Ranch is the finest ranch on the market in the most sought-after location in Austin County. Charles Fordtran, a surveyor in the Earnst Grant of Stephen F. Austin’s colony, was given vast amounts of land of his choosing as payment. He selected this beautiful location as his home. And it’s no wonder why, as each sunrise makes one feel he is in the midst of the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The incomparable 1800s home was completely restored using the highest level of construction and materials available and overlooks the majestic countryside of rolling hills and green meadows. A carriage house completes this awesome picture. The grounds and gardens are magnificent and accented by a swimming pool and porches for those special mornings. Spring-fed pond, wet weather creek and an abundance of wildlife. The ranch also includes a manager’s quarters, equipment barn, covered arena and roping arena. Rolling pastures and paddocks are perfect for your horse or cattle operation. Extremely private and quiet. This magnificent showcase ranch is one hour west of Houston.

BNB Ranch
1
Central Texas v Burleson County v Caldwell
1,176 acres of unique and beautiful diversity, deep in the heart of Texas. One of Central Texas and the Post Oak Region’s finest. The ranch features an approximate 70-acre recreational lake for fishing and boating. Two lakeside homes, a 2,622-foot paved and lighted runway, 3+ miles of paved driveway, and hundreds of acres of rolling hills of improved pastures and wooded native areas just teeming with wildlife. The BNB Ranch is located in the heart of the “Texoplex”, between Houston, Dallas and San Antonio. Bryan/College Station and the Texas A & M campus is only 30 miles away. Located on FM 2000 in Burleson County, you will enter the ranch onto your own private, paved and lighted runway. The 150' x 60', open-sided hanger has an enclosed area for storage and overhead lighting. Just flip a switch and light up the runway for nighttime landing. With over 3 miles of paved driveway, access in, out and across the ranch is a breeze. The lakeside improvements offer all the comforts of home as you enjoy your lakeside activities. The main house features 2,700± square feet. This three-level home has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a basement game room that opens up right out to the lake. The wall of windows show off the great lake views. There is also an efficiency apartment above the garage. The concrete boat ramp gets all your toys into the water, while the extensive dock and boat house keep them readily accessible. There are two electric boat lifts and three jetski lifts, a floating dock with a dog ramp, a fish cleaning station, a fueling station, a bar and party area for entertaining, a storage closet and more. The 30' x 80' lakeside shop has room to store all those toys as well, with a total storage capacity of 92,400 cubic feet, bathroom facilities and more. Whether it is watercraft or auto collections, this shop is climate controlled and all the lakeside improvements are all wired into a backup generator system. The guest cottage is 1,400± square feet, with three bedrooms and two baths. It is nestled quietly along the lakeshore and is connected to the main home by paved and lighted walkways and has its own private dock. The lake has been well managed with two forage ponds used for feeding. The bass average approximately 8 pounds, although several 13 pounders have been caught. There is a high hill on the southwest side of the lake that would be great building site with outstanding views of the lake and distant horizon overlooking the Brazos River bottom. This paradise is definitely a Texas ranch. Fenced and cross fenced with beautiful rolling hay fields, hundreds of acres in improved grasses, 15 ponds, four water wells and community water all in place. The Ag barn has capacity to hold up to 400 round bales and has a workshop equipped to manage your ranch maintenance needs. There is a set of pipe working pens and the property can comfortably handle 250+ cow/calf pairs. The west side of the ranch is primarily wooded with native grasses and areas for wildlife, hunting and other recreational activities. With natural ponds and creek ways offering substantial habitat for wildlife, this ranch definitely has it all.

Evans Creek Ranch 335 Acres
E
Texas Hill Country v Bandera County v Medina
Evans Creek Ranch is located in the Texas Hill Country about 18 miles west of the town of Medina, just off scenic Highway 337, not far from Lost Maples State Park, in Bandera County. The prime feature of this property is the lake formed by a dam across Evans Creek and lined with huge Cypress trees. This lake is almost a quarter of a mile long and is as deep as 25 feet. It is stocked with bass and catfish and has a floating dock to fish and swim from. We are just finishing clearing some cedar on the far side of the lake to enhance the “park” look of the lake area and to develop an alternate home site in case the new owner wants to build a new lakeside home or cabin. The views of both the lake and the surrounding hills are just awesome from this site. Another great feature is a rambling ranch house that is decorated in the “Ralph Lauren” style (cowboys, Indians, elk antler and wagon-wheel chandeliers, steer hide rugs, and wood plank ceilings) and has a long screened-in sleeping porch as well as four bedrooms and two baths. Most of the furnishings, including lots of great antiques, are available for sale individually or as a package deal. Adjacent to the house is an old ceramic block barn with a huge high-fenced, irrigated garden that is planted in everything from roses to cactus to peach trees. Other out-buildings include a three-car garage with attached utility room and attached shop, as well as a small equipment barn and a hunter’s cabin. The terrain is diverse and includes about 65 acres of flat, fertile land as well as canyons, bluffs and mountain tops. This ranch would make a great weekend retreat with lots of activities including hunting, fishing, swimming, boating and hiking. It would also make a great horse place or specialty farm (olives, lavender or wine grapes). $2,250,000 or $6,716 per acre.

Rainbow Ranch is 10,800 acres located between I-10 and US Highway 90, ten miles north of Dryden and only fifteen miles from paved Terrell County Airport. The ranch lies between Meyers Canyon, which crosses on the south, and Big Canyon, which crosses on the north, with more than seven miles of frontage on Highway 349 to the west. This is Western Hill Country and rugged Canyon Country at its finest. An area filled with history and amazing natural habitat and wildlife. Rainbow Ranch was assembled by the current family of owners, starting in 1991 and today is a solid 10,800 acre block of rolling hills and huge limestone canyons with a diverse assemblage of native vegetation. The ranch is situated at the convergence of three biologically-distinct eco-regions in Texas; the Texas Hill Country to the east, the Chihuahuan Desert to the west, and the subtropical Tamaulipan Brushland to the south, creating one of the most unique wildlife habitats in the state. The north/south orientation of Highway 349 allows several entrances to different parts of the ranch and into a network of roads allowing access to both sides of the major canyons and along several internal smaller canyons and ridgetops. This is not flat Plateau country with dissected canyons, but rather an extensive landscape of rolling hills, valleys and long canyons creating very scenic and amazingly beautiful views. There are very few improvements on the ranch outside the two primitive hunting camps; roads, working windmills, and old ranching facilities. With topography ranging from just below 2,000 to over 2,400 feet there are many building sites with distant views or vistas of sheer wall canyons. $4,590,000

This is high Chihuahuan Desert grassland and mountain property studded with interesting outcrops of rocks and large trees, creating a scenic wonderland. The 1266-acre ranch has amazing vistas of the city of Alpine with views of the entire region, including the Davis and Glass Mountains. Elevations range from just over 5,000 feet to 4,400 feet, creating a landscape of rolling hills with high flats and steep canyons.
