AB TRAILING SHOE The AB Trailing Shoe gets the effluent right where it is of most benefit. What is a Trailing Shoe? The Trailing Shoe is a application system consisting of a metal shoe that parts the herbage at the base and deposits the slurry in bands onto the soil surface, with minimum contamination to the leaf. Increased pasture re-growth giving greater nutrient retention as the slurry is getting to the base of the plant right where it is of most value Greater window of application as you can apply the slurry to a standing crop and then bring the cows in within 5+ days as there is minimal slurry contamination on the leaf You are realizing the true value of effluent with no wastage Lower emissions with no slurry being released into the atmosphere
Fact The AB splash plate being inverted is being recognized as one of the best on the market, delivering the most value as it has a low spread but still achieving the width. But research shows that the slurry utilization is more than 25% with a trailing shoe compared to this splash plate.
