October in Farnham is a month dedicated to celebrating craft, makers and Farnham’s World Craft Town status. Farnham is proud to be the first and only town in England to be awarded this special status, it is both a recognition and celebration of how craft has always been part of the cultural fabric of Farnham. Craft brings community together and Farnham is full of makers of all ages, abilities, and disciplines as well as craft organisations, creative microbusinesses, and independent creative industries. Craft Month embraces creative arts in all its forms, and these are showcased with a programme of over 60 craft-based events such as exhibitions, trails, fairs, workshops, and family activities. There is plenty to tempt those wanting to try a new creative activity or buy handcrafted locally made wares. A series of World Craft Month events and activities will be held at Farnham Maltings, the Museum of Farnham and other partner venues.. Farnham Maltings will also be offering professional development courses for makers to nurture their business and marketing skills.
