Occupational Exposure Limit (OEL) for Oil Mist is set to 0.6 mg/cm続 for 12 hours exposure by the Norwegian Regulatory Authorities. MudCube will significantly reduce exposure to oil mist emitted from the drilling fluid. Measurements show 0.4mg/m続 from MudCube, while conventional shakers have been measured at 2.1 mg/m3.

The maximum limit for personnel working in a noise exposed environment has been set by the Norwegian regulatory authorities at 83 dB over a 12 hour period. Noise from MudCube will be well below this limit with 73 dB, while shakers operate at levels up to 95 dB.

The shaker room is designed to handle vibration, day after day. What about the people working there?

The separation process is driven by harmless vacuuming, not vibrations.

1G Low frequency vibration is a health risk when personnel are exposed to it over a long time period. Personnel in process- and drilling- areas should not be exposed to levels higher than 1G over a 12-hour-period. The MudCube, unlike traditional shale shakers, is not based upon high G-force vibrations to be able to separate solids and drilling fluid.
