n 2011, DFECT DSIGN was created to make the world look like a better place - online and offline. Graphic designer Daniel Fexa is the visionary behind the company and he is ready to make your vision into a reality. When most companies are very keen on having firm and decisive individuals or companies as ideal clients, Fexa finds himself drawn to those who are the exact opposite. He explains, “My ideal client is one who has absolutely no idea what they want. Strange I know. Creative freedom is sometimes lost when a client has too much direction. Mind you, in some cases loss of creative choice can be beneficial but sometimes you need to leave it up to the professionals.” Clients would agree: Daniel is definitely a strategist. If you might know what you want, but you have no idea how to go about it – he is the man to call. Your idea will be developed and your goals will be met. Fexa believes in his mantra, “MAKE IT HAPPEN,” whether you want a logo for your company, have branding problems or, like many other businesses out there, need to build a website. And trust him when he says he would put your brand on the map by stepping out of the box and exceeding what an average person expects from one company or brand. He believes in leaving a mark and making a


lasting impression – even with just one click of your mouse. Fexa admits that the visions he sets out for a client sometimes takes two weeks, two years or even at times, never ending. It is a lot of waiting but it is always growing and worth the wait. The designs of this up and rising company are not just focused on someone’s online presence. Daniel Fexa believes that your offline presence is just as important as your online one. “Visual representation of your company online and offline can make or break your identity. Taking your business seriously means taking your brand seriously, and this is why you need proper visual representation,” says the designer who himself doesn’t even use any tools for his social media presence. Forget Hootsuite, he uses two more effective manmade tools: “Quick wit and snarky comments.”

But don’t be fooled by this designer entrepreneur’s witty demeanor. Daniel actually believes in the golden rule and his advice for those who are just starting in the business, “Do favors.” Four years ago, he did the exact same thing (“Perhaps too many favors,” he quipped) but he has learned that the quick turnout and growing number of clients return favors. And by returned revenue, he mean word of mouth – probably the most important and most effective tool in any business anywhere in the world.
