his tory & culture Mecca›s culture has been affected by the large number of pilgrims that arrive annually, and thus boasts a rich cultural heritage. As a result of the vast numbers of pilgrims coming to the city each year, Mecca has become by far the most diverse city in the Muslim world. In contrast to the rest of Saudi Arabia. Despite the diversity of civilizations in the city, they are united by love of Islamic Art. It is everywhere and in all traditional and modern

Situated close to the main entrance to the Mosque. The perimeter of the district is surrounded by planned communities and tall apartment blocks which protect the Cultural Oasis from high winds

More The project is on level 14 of a recently renevative bulding. Facing Al-Masjed AL-Haram and serounded by five stars hotels and reseorts. Each level has 4 large apartment. This apartment is mostly used for holy activities and holydaies. Thus, I designed the space to combaine tradeional, modren, luxury and comfortable lifestyle.

The client bought the
apartment to spend
his holidaies for some religious practices and gathring with his family and friends, such as spending the Hajj season and the fasting month of Ramadan. These days Muslims like to be togather, enjoy their time catching up, prepar the first meal, do sleepovers, walk around the city and Al-Masjed Al-Haram to help poor people with some food, money, or clothes, and more of practcies that relates to their faith and believes. Thus, to enhance a spiritual atmosphere, the design concept will be shown through Moroccan style with a tuoch of luxury. herefore , I am taking some elements of the islamic art and combine it with moroccan patrens and textils to design the space with an infinte love and unlimited views. his tory Rowland Hussey Macy founded R.H. MACY AND COMPANY in 1858. Furthermore, according to Stephan Evans “In 1858, Rowland Hussey Macy founded a «dry goods store» at Broadway and Chambers Street in Manhattan.» He had a red star tattooed on his hand, so he took that symbol as the store›s logo and as symbol of success. By the time Macy died in 1877, the store that bore his name stretched to eleven buildings. More, In 1902, the current Macy›s was built on Herald Square in New York and it has become one of the wonders of the new world as the «largest store on earth» with nine

project concept Dancing on my own
As a result of my researches about Macy’s flagship Herald Square store in New York, NY with the potential roll out to all its 850 department stores locations in the continental United States, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Guam. And, after some of the practical and theoretical studies, I find my design concept is related to the actions of women and their behavior in shoe stores, especially in big department
stores
like
Macy’s
for
example.
Thus, the project design concept is “Dancing on my own”. Women’s acting inspires it when she is trying shoes; she stand up, walk around,

project concept Interconnected
The story starts in Lazurd with the customer entrance
to have an unforgettable experience. Experimenting conflicting meanings. It is Old but it is New.. Classic but modern, Simple but complicated, Plain but tricky, Mysterious but obvious. Despite the contradictions, there is one thing that binds them all together and makes these meanings interconnected. Like the contradiction of people and relationships.
Customers in Lazurd are the first concern, and
a staff will help each one during the visit to ensure the customer satisfaction. Lazurd shows interest in the design too, from a well-studied circulation to the details of jewel displays. Defining the retail space with layers that take the customer from light to darker mood and take him/her back to light for the mysterious attention, to give him/her a desire for further more. Satisfying the customer’s with a wonderful visual harmony that has been achieved through the coordination between finishes, furniture and lighting fixtures selection. Furthermore, the glamour feel is done by a

thoughtful design of the lighting reflections on shiny surfaces to add a lavish sense. Why!
The design concept is chosen as a result after a
deep research of a crystal and a tree features to find the relationship between them. The crystal represents the store type of business, and the tree represents the life of nature from a sustainable perspective.

SUSTAINABLE LIGHTING STRATEGY Benefits of LED lightbulbs - Long-lasting - LED bulbs last up to 10 times as long as compact fluorescents, and far longer than typical incandescents. -Durable - since LEDs do not have a filament, they are not damaged under circumstances when a regular incandescent bulb would be broken. -Cool - these bulbs do not cause heat build-up. -Mercury-free - no mercury is used in the manufacturing of LEDs -More efficient - LED light bulbs use only 2-17 watts of electricity -Cost-effective - although LEDs are initially expensive, the cost is recouped over time and in battery savings.

Re-use Some of the ideas and the methods it was taken in the design is to re-use some of the local furniture. So, I did smoe research in general on the ideas of re-use furniture or some furniture components. For example, drawers, table legs, glass and some raw materials that I can use them in the design and upgrade them to fit the overall fancey interior design of the store and to achive the sustainability.

Everything is breathtaking. especially when you visit the old city of B Barcelona . your eyes will not stop looking at the historical arts and architectures. For example, the art of mosaic is everywhere applied in different shapes and designs with colorful broken tiles. Therefore, as a result of my researches i found the mosice is very intreseted art for interiors. however, the city is full of mosaic, and i need to bring something new, different, and tills barcelona. Thus, I chose the fine lines between broken tiles to be the main design

For the design I used raw materials inspired by the nature of the old town in Barcelona. For example the ceiling is made of gypsum but painted in a way to look like an aged stone. For the design concept it is applied on some of
