ABOUT

FOSS TECHNOLOGIES Founded and ideated in 2020 by Russian neurologist and business woman,Luna Volkovya Neelofa, Foss Technologies aims to use artificial intelligence technology to help enhance the human experience. The company focuses on neural research/ development on the human brain and also the main producer of Foss Vision.

FOSS VISION Foss Vision is a new technology of integration of both human and artificial intellegence.Users are able to not only record their vision, they are able record their consciousness for a period moment of time, with all the 5 senses. Such memories are then saved in the album gallery with easy access of reliving such memories.

ABOUT LOGO

FOOSTECH’s Logo was from merging aspects of human and artificial intelligence, The logo was inspired the the birth of human existence, the division of cells. This visual represents the dawn of revolution of humans that the company aims to strive for. The logo was also inspired that the lockscreen used in smartphones, representing the uncovering and unlocking of the great potential for human excellence.

HORIZONTAL LOCKUP

The identity elements are a toolkit used to express stage for kids as a brand and their personality. FOSSTECH’s toolkit comprised of the logo, wordmark, logo lock-ups, a family of typefaces and an energetic colour palette. When used correctly, all of the components help create a strong visual identity. The following pages examine each element in depth.

LOGO ELEMENTS The FossTech consists of 2 main elements; a symbol and a wordmark. Always use both elements in logo application, do not seperate them or use one over the other.

LOGO VARIATION VERTICAL LOCKUP

LOCK-UPS There are only two acceptable logo variations; the vertical lock-up & the horizontal lock-up The primary and preffered lock-up would be the vertical lock-up. However,if there are cases of limitation of sizing, the secondary version (horizontal lock-up) of the logo is permissible.

GRID Both logo variations are made using a grid layout. Hence, the wordmark and symbol must always be aligned and proportionally accurate according to the grid shown.

LOGO CLEARSPACE Always provide adequate clearspace around the logo to maintain its legibility and integrity. The amount of clearspace necessary is proportional to the size of the logo. The minimum amount of clearspace around all sides of the logo is 1/6 times of overall height of the logo (x)

LOGO POSITION The preferred position of the logo on a layout is anchored to top left or bottom left

PREFERRED: ANCHORED ON LEFT PLANE

Positioning on top right or bottom right is permissible, if there is a need to. The logo should never be anchored anywhere on the centre plane of the layout.

These colors are used to convey the company’s passion and values and the gradient is used to showcase the company’s futuristic look and professionalism. Gradient must always be applied in an angle direction of 135%, with Lime Green being at the top and Periwinkle being at the bottom.

PROPER USAGE OF GRADIENT ON LOGO FOSSTECH’s logo has a gradient color which can be easily misused. The masking of gradients on the logo must be followed as shown on this page.

a visual to show how the gradients are masked on different parts on the logo. for the 3 circles, the masked square gradient must be equal dimension as the circle with opp direction tilted at 135%

This is to ensure consistency in all logos and ensure all the colors in the gradient has an equal amount shown. for the 3 odd shapes, the masked square gradient must be equal dimension as the logo with upwards direction tilted at 135%

for the wordmark, the masked square gradient must be equal dimension as the wordmark itself with an upwards direction tilted at 135%

There are two versions of color variations the logo could be varied. For one-colored logos, if needed for a b&w design,both black logo on white background and white logo on black background are acceptable.

For full colored logos, full colored logo on white and white logo on gradient are the most preferred variation. If there is a need for a black background, full colour on black is acceptable However,full colored should always be used where possible.

LOGO MISUSE Maintaining the logo across all mediums, touchpoints, sizes and layout is vitally important. Logo variations on the next page are the red lines NOT TO CROSS while dealing with FOSSTECH’s logo.

TYPOGRAPHY Typography in FOSSTECH’s identity design is pretty simple, kept to only 3 main fonts, to keep the corporate instrument and identity more rational Unless stated otherwise, the typeface chosen should be used with the following settings stated so as to ensure consistency within all documents and communication.

Plateia Bold is used on the wordmark. Primarily used for titles or headers, wherever neccessary.

VCR OSD Mono is primarily used for body copy or small headers.

Aktiv Grotesk Bold is a secondary typeface, only in two ocassions; when VCR OSD Mono is not available and for a Web font for FOSSTECH’s website.

SECONDARY GRAPHIC ELEMENT

FORMATION OF GRID SYSTEM

The secondary graphic element was made enhance the brand image and allow further brand recognition. The secondary graphic element is made out of the logo itself, using a a grid system, as seen on the page. The gap between each circle is 1/2 the measurement of overall diameter of the circle (2x). The grid must not be altered, changed or scaled.

The secondary graphic element can only be cropped at the 4 corners of a layout. Ensure cropping must be aligned to the perpendicular corner and circles must only be cropped at half or quarter. OUTLINED VERSION (REVERSED)

The cropping MUST NOT be tilted or scaled Layout A and B are primary used as the main graphic device. It is the the secondary graphic outlined.

Layout C and D are only used if needed, or to avoid oversaturation of the first graphic in a certain touchpoint.
