The Most Beautiful Color of All Solo Exhibition
Hwang Gallery | Flushing, NY
I pursue shapes and colors. My semi-abstract, expressionist portraits tell a story of whimsical spontaneity. Based on an underpainting, my art begins to emerge as color and texture are added layer by layer. The landscapes pull the viewer into a world of color, light, and emotion. My body of work developed and evolved with much of the outcome driven by creative impulses. Street Art is a multilayer series, featuring the St. Bernard Pass series as an underpainting. I enjoyed the challenge of painting this series, as it required a concentrated effort, along with the creativity of freestyle brushstrokes and color palette choices." - Kelly Fischer | 2015-2018

For inquiries contact: Hwang Gallery About the gallery: “Hwang Gallery was formally established on April 25, 2014. Located in Flushing, Queens, New York, Hwang Gallery is situated in the heart of downtown Flushing, a major hub for Asian communities. Our gallery is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization (NYS approved, pending federal approval) that seeks to promote artists and foster intellectual exchanges between artists and art lovers. We aspire to serve as a platform that introduces Asian artists to the Western world, and Western artists to Asian domains. Our gallery focuses on solo exhibitions and academic seminars that address subjects of art and music. Our hope is to inspire and encourage the growth of contemporary artistic communities around the world through our select choice of exhibitions. While our core group of artists currently consists of Asian and Asian-American artists, we are looking to expand our roster to include artists from all around the world. As a non-profit organization, we seek to raise our funds not through fundraising parties, but through art fairs that help our artists gain more international exposure. We are different from other non-profit organizations in that we form long-term commitments to promote our represented artists. Our relationship with our artists is thus one of intimate partnership, one informed by both familiarity and trust.
