My passion for architecture stems from a desire to enhance people’s lives through thoughtful design. Great architecture serves its people, shaping a better world for those who inhabit it. The adaptability and evolving nature of architecture mirror our changing world, empowering architects to leave lasting impressions on memories while enriching daily life.

2800 Taylor
2800 Taylor is one of many developments located Deep Ellum; a bustling neighborhood that is gaining momentum in the Dallas area. It is designed to have a brick grid on the lower residential levels and a metal grid that overlaps on the upper two levels. An amenity deck on the second level brings the community together.
My goal for the design of the units was to minimize the number of unique kitchens and bathroom types throughout the several unit configurations for ease of drafting, modeling, and constructability.

7. Wood / Natural Ipe
The different color bricks were chosen to scale down the long proportions of the building. The proud Flemish bond course is then introduced throughout the building to create a unifying pattern around the two buildings.

Dallas, TX Personal Work 2021-Present
The idea of designing our own home had never crossed my mind. However, after eight unsuccessful offers on houses in Dallas and plenty of encouragement from my husband, we decided to purchase a lot and design a home from the ground up.
This journey was a true adventure. Although I am a practicing architectural designer, I had no experience building residential and neither did my husband, much less something so deeply personal. As newcomers to the area, the project demanded both learning and adaptation.
Our design process became an evening ritual, with sessions often stretching from 6 p.m. late into the night, fueled by new ideas and limited by a modest budget. Initially, we struggled to squeeze in our program needs, seeking design solutions that felt both smart and feasible. The breakthrough came when we decided to phase the project and set the house back an additional 20 feet from the zoning requirement. This setback allowed for future expansion and created the opportunity for a two-story addition at the front.
The final design clearly defines social and private zones, connected by a transitional element that flows seamlessly between the two. The simplicity and efficiency of the layout have made the home not only functional but also wonderfully livable. We’re proud of the dedication and hard work it took to create a space that truly feels like home.
1+1=1
The massing of the house consists of two vaulted volumes that are connected by a trasition piece. The social quarters are located in the volume facing the street and the private quarters are located in the volume facing the back yard.
Setback
The zoning regulations for the house require a 20-foot setback, but we chose to set the house back 40 feet to allow for a potential two-story addition at the front. This planned addition would include a two-car garage with convenient access to the kitchen and a second-floor studio apartment designed for guests or renters.

Fifth year Fall 2016
“The basis of SCAPE’s mission is the determination to retrieve the twentieth century Italian tradition of architecture and engineering; to return to a type of project design that respects formal research, maintains a dialogue with history, is aware of technical and constructional aspects and of context”
During my internship I was a participant of several projects such as: the Grand Paris Express competition for the Bondy Train Station (competition winner), the Batignolles office and retail building, the Central Control Center (CCC) for the Regional Express Railway Network of east Paris, and the firm’s project book.
Throughout the course of my 7 month internship at SCAPE I was able to achieve a higher level of understanding of how an office is managed and how projects are administered. As an intern I was able to acquire knowledge on European design, construction, and competition bidding.

Place of Justice: Travis County Courthouse
Austin, Texas, USA Integrated Studio Professor John Trefry
Fourth year Spring 2016
Everything has a reaction to something else. Nothing is able to exist by itself. The social environment imprints by external forces that already exist.
With this in mind our group decided on a set of values that reflected our views towards justice. We firmly believe that the idea of justice is affected by external forces such as knowledge, awareness, and context. For this reason our building evolved from a solid, heavy mass to a voided, eroded sculpture.
The vertical cut was based on program and reflected light entering the building. The bottom cut, or civic cut, adds a public space on the site by activating the corner of Guadalupe St and West 4th St and also creates a human scale upon entering the building. This 500,000 sqft courthouse consisted of an intricate planning of secure, public, and restricted program spread throughout 25 courtrooms. The courtrooms are interlocked to optimize the surplus of space that is left from the 18’ courtroom ceiling heights. The façade of the building evokes the feeling of a rock that has been worn through time.

Celebrating Movies + Theaters: Cinematic Arts Museum
Dallas, Texas USA
Design Studio
Professor Kapila Silva
Third year Fall 2014
With museums, performing arts centers, and parks the Arts District in Dallas, TX, is a hub for culture, art, and music. Its venues are designed to be works of arts themselves by celebrated architects. The proposed project was to create a Cinematic Arts Museum that adds to this center of education and entertainment. The design concept is inspired from the general shape of a movie theater – a raised, stepped up platform looking towards a screen. One end of the museum (the public spaces) is anchored on the ground and the other end (the galleries) is cantilevered. As visitors approach they are pulled in to the building below the cantilevered galleries. The building is positioned diagonally on the site breaking the city grid and following the north-south axis, creating two public spaces either side to house a sculpture garden and an outdoor amphitheater for public events. A steel frame box truss system that is cradled by concrete pylons holds the entire building and its cantilevered portion.
The skin of the building was inspired by red curtains that were historically seen in theaters. The skin is created by aluminum ribbons that extend from top to bottom. The ribbons open up at points where circulation is prominent inside the building allowing the visitor to “escape from reality”.
