So what do I say, “Happy Easter” or “Happy Resurrection Day?” Either way, Jesus died on the cross and rose again. Why? Father God loved us so much, He was willing to send His ONE AND ONLY Son to die on the cross for us….But dying was not enough…there were many other so-called gods who died for their people, but it stopped there. None of those gods rose again…but Jesus said He would, and He did! So, what did we get from him dying and rising back up? Salvation, healing, and anything else you may need in life. Jesus ALREADY paid for it all. It belongs to you! You don’t have to beg or work for it…it is ALREADY yours! Get it? That is Father God’s GIFT to you! Now, receive it, and don’t question it ever again…JUST RECEIVE!

by: Dr. Bill Hanshew There is a principle in Old Testament from Job 22:28 which says, “You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.” The Message Bible of the same verse says, “You'll decide what you want and it will happen; your life will be bathed in light.” But looking at the same verse from the Amplified Bible, it says, “You will also decide and decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And the light [of God’s favor] will shine upon your ways.” What many not understand is that the favor of God has been released upon us ever since Jesus finished His work, from
the cross to the grave and from the grave to resurrection power living in us. Therefore, you do not “decree a thing” just because you can articulate words in a brilliant manner. You say what God says because you believe what God says. Romans 10:8 says, “But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):” This verse is taken from Deuteronomy 30:14. It says, “But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in
your heart, that you may do it.” Have you seen the television commercial that asks the question, “What’s in your wallet?” Now, as I have written articles or preached sermons on this thought, it is important to understand that this particular–commercial is advertising a credit card. It seems to be implying that this
credit card is the best one to have in your wallet. However, when you are facing real–life today, having the correct credit card in your wallet will not fix everything. But having the Word of God in your heart and in your mouth will accomplish many things. When you read the Word of God, you are planting it in your heart. And when you speak or decree the Word of God, you are releasing it into the world of the Spirit, unto an assigned target. If you are dealing with finances, then take scriptures about finances and obey them as you release them out of your mouth. If you are dealing with health issues, then take scriptures about healing and release them out of your mouth. But in the process, decide to believe what God says. Remember, “You will also decide and decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And the light [of God’s favor] will shine upon your ways.” What you speak, is what you establish for your life. And God’s favor shines light onto your path so that you know what course of action should be taken in any given situation.
I remember a verse in Mark 7:15 (NLT) where Jesus said, “You are not defiled by what you eat; you are defiled by what you say and do!” In other words, it is not the things around you that cause you problems. It is the things or decisions that are made before you even form the words which are about to come out of your mouth. So, why are words so important? Why is it necessary to choose to speak the Word of God? Deuteronomy 30:19 says, “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;” For the believer, “choosing life” should be a no–brainer. Another old television commercial said, “Only you can prevent forest fires!” Well, “Only you can choose to speak the Word of God!” God will not force you to open your mouth and say what He says. And to begin with, way too many Christians are careless about the words they speak. Job made the statement in the book of Job, chapter 6 and verse 24, “Teach me, and I will hold my tongue; Cause me to understand wherein I
have erred.” So, if God can get to your thinking by showing you or revealing His Word to you, then would you change what you have been speaking? As one person put it; “If you are not happy with what you have been getting, then change what you have been saying.” Put away negative and destructive words, and just start finding every scripture containing what God said, and then say it. Adopt His Words as your own. Job 6:25 says, “How forceful (or powerful) are right words! But what does your arguing prove?” Here is a quote from one of my other articles which says, “Some people think that if they do not believe in speaking right words, they are exempt from the results of those words.” Well, I personally believe that this verse is showing us that we have a great responsibility to put a stop to the arguing in our own mind about whether or not to say what God says. “Choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.” Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.” According to the Hebrew, the word “death and life” are under the direction or control,
or the thumb of what comes out of your mouth. So, we should be able to see that the Bible is saying; or at least that God is saying that what you speak is that which is controlling your life. If you are speaking words of defeat, or destruction or words that are always negative or even
words of complaint, then you will eat or receive the fruit of those words. You must decide to “decree a thing” or in other words, you must decide what you want, and it will happen according to what you believe in your heart and say with your
mouth. When your words agree with God’s Word, you will see the results that you really want in your life. Therefore, our words must always line up with God’s Words. …Think about it!
Proverbs 18:21
I’ve been meditating on the theme of this month’s magazine. As I was praying, God showed me several things I’d like to share with you today. I saw the following analogy. This is not advocating credit card debt. This is just an analogy. Most of us have received credit cards in the mail. Before purchases can be made, the credit card has to be activated. Until the credit card is activated, it's just a worthless piece of plastic. But once the credit card is activated we can do many things with it; for example, make purchases, gain points for cash back, use points for airline miles, etc. Prior to activation, we can lay the credit card out where we can see it every day. We can walk by and wish we could use the card. We can carry the credit card around in our wallet;
we can hold it and hope that we could use it. But, until the moment of activation, the fact remains that the credit card is nothing but plastic. Activation is the step that changes the credit card from being an ordinary piece of plastic, into becoming a tool we can use. At the moment of activation, everything changes! At the moment of activation of God’s living
Word (with our voice) everything changes! (Hebrew 4:12, Mark 11:23-24) Credit cards don’t typically charge an activation fee, but there are some establishments that do, i.e. athletic clubs, craft clubs, grocery store clubs, etc. But, our spiritual activation fee has already been paid for us! Our Heavenly Father withheld not His Own Son! We have been bought at a price, His own Precious Blood! (Romans 8:32, 1 Corinthians 6:20-21, Ephesians 1:7) God also showed me the following practical steps. We are to: • Believe in our heart and confess with our mouth. (Romans 10:9) • Always keep Him first in our thoughts, heart, and our mouth. (Matthew 6:33)
• Be generous and compassionate (Luke 6:38, Ephesians 4:32) • Sow incorruptible seed (1 Peter: 1:23) • Speak up (Romans 10:9, Matthew 21:21, Mark 11:23)) • Sow good seed-Be Patient-Reap our harvest (Genesis 8:22) • Walk in love and forgiveness (Ephesians 5:2, Mark 11:26) • Don’t give up (Galatians 6:9) Father, we thank You for teaching us how to activate Your living Word in every situation of our lives! Thank You for being for us! Thank You for working all things together for our good! We thank You and praise You for always causing us to triumph in Christ Jesus!
By: Tom Tompkins, Jr. What You Need to Know Before Going into Business Part 3 – Setting Specific Goals Have you set a New Year’s resolution? Many have done so, but how many follow through and accomplish the resolution? Eighty eight percent of people who set a New Year’s resolution fail within the first week. Additionally, statistics have revealed that one in ten people who set a New Year’s resolution will succeed in meeting their goal. Why is this? Not only is this problem common among those who set a New Year’s resolution, but similar problems arise with anyone who sets a goal of any type. This all too common problem has simple solutions. In fact, there are three solutions. 1. Be as specific as possible when setting goals. 2. Always write down goals and keep them before your eyes regularly. 3. Take action. The words of Habakkuk 2:2 clearly define the subject matter of this article. “And then GOD answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run.
This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time.” (Message Bible) Writing the vision (goal) and making it as plain as possible is of utmost importance. Why? Because whoever reads the vision will be able to run with it and act upon it. Not only is it important to write your goals out on paper, a whiteboard or a vision board, but it is important to be as specific as possible when setting a goal or number of goals. For example, what if someone says, “I want to earn more money this year than I earned last year.” How much is more? If a person were to set such a goal and earn one penny beyond their income from the previous year, they will have reached their goal. Of course, nobody sets a goal of earning one penny beyond the previous year’s income. It is important to clearly state, “I want to earn $15,000 beyond what I earned last year.” Additional examples could involve accomplishing a goal by a certain date or losing a specific amount of weight during. When specific goals are properly set, proper actions allowing for the achievement of those goals are more likely to follow as opposed to the lack of progress made when setting vague goals. How does this topic apply to going into business? When starting a new business, it is important to set up a proper timeline to move the process along as quickly as possible, but also as precisely as possible. What needs to take place to start a business? Many who go into business understand the technical side of the business. Such people are great technicians, but need training in becoming a manager. This is the difference between running a business from the front door and running a business from the back door. The front door of the business is based on the product or service being sold, but the back door is where the actual management takes place. This is where the ins and outs of daily business are performed. In fact, goals are set and displayed via backdoor management. Such might take place during staff meetings or brainstorming sessions. A vision board or whiteboard containing goals to be achieved is often found within the offices of managers or in a meeting room frequented by management members and employees. Whether in picture format on a vision board or written goals, setting goals and keeping them in plain sight for all to see is of utmost importance. Not only does this apply to the steps of starting a business, but also to daily operations and growth as the business moves forward. In essence, setting specific goals is what creates a road map to success. Therefore, “Writing the vision and making it plain” is important. When the vision is in plain sight as opposed to being hidden away in a drawer, it is more likely to be accomplished. Did you know research has proven that there is an increased potential of success to the tune of 98 percent for those who write their goals and keep them in view? It is true! This explains why many
fall short on their goals. This is not to say that a goal cannot be achieved without writing it down, but the likelihood of success increases exponentially when a goal is written. Finally, I want to tell you how to use a vision board. A vision board contains photos and images that represent what it is you want to accomplish. It may be a photo of a building where your office is going to be located or a product you wish to sell. It could be a photo of a specific amount of money or an image of a person who desires to speak publicly standing on a platform in front of a large crowd. Of course, such images may not be available, but with programs such as Photoshop, creating the right image is not out of the question. What is it you wish to accomplish? Where do you see yourself within the next three to five years? How do you want your life to look? Find images or create images that depict your goals and the changes you wish to see. If you desire a client, find a way to create an image of yourself standing with the client or signing paperwork for a deal. Do you want to pay off all debt? Find out how much you owe and write a vision statement that falls in line with this goal or find an image that matches for your vision board. When all is said and done, writing your vision and creating an image board will not only keep the vision in front of you at all times, but will also increase the likelihood of action to be taken that will lead to success. After all, it is great to tell people what you are going to do but until you put motion to your boat, you will not be able to tell people about what it is you are doing.
During the summer of 2000, my kids and I went camping in the Three Sisters Wilderness intended to be enjoyed area. I had given much together with Him. thought in planning this trip for several weeks. Since senses. It creates those most of the distractions which experiences that He has had captured my attention
and interests were set aside and put behind, to enjoy time with the Father and His creation pervading the very core of my being, and now delighted to share in the experience, this enjoyment with my children.
The contemplation put forth into this outing with my children included a unique surprise in store for them. They had never been to this particular area and would not have known beforehand what I already knew. Many times, I would do things spontaneously. I really believe that it is just as exciting as well laid plans. However, on this particular adventure, I had imagined in advance what they might enjoy, which I then chose to catch them unexpectedly in complete amazement. It had been my heart's desire always, to enjoy many experiences, enjoying each day like it is the very last. I want to create memories that will be cherished years later when reflecting on times we had enjoyed together as a family. We set up our camp in the evening, and of course, gathered wood right away so that we could enjoy the campfire, sitting around it at night. We roasted hot dogs, and made smores. A necessity for those that have ever gone camping. Although, it is amusing to think that I had never heard of smores, until after I had become born again. The first time I was introduced to these campfire treats had been at a youth outing, and those that
told me about them said, "We are having smores!" I had no idea what they were, but they quickly volunteered their description, "They are so good, that you just want smore!" You would be surprised at many things we take for granted, that different people from many different backgrounds have no understanding or idea what we grew up experiencing, and developed from many childhood memories. An example of this I came across while I had been visiting the Ukraine. I spoke with those from this translator service, about them getting me an apartment with an oven. I told them, "If they could get me an apartment with an oven, I would make them pizza." They got me the apartment, and I made them pizza. Upon leaving that area of their country, they decided that they wanted to give me a going-away party. It was at this party while we were visiting and talking about many different things, that one of the translators that had eaten my pizza, asked me how I made it. I just answered, "That was a million-dollar formula (I just valued my recipe, that I wanted to share this with those that were family and
very close friends.)" I also said to them, "I can tell you how I bake it. I let it bake till it is a marshmallow toast brown." (I was referring to how we would prepare marshmallows for smores). Their response to me took me by surprise, for they asked, "What are marshmallows?" It is true, they had never heard of marshmallows. How do you describe something which seems so simple to someone that has never seen, nor heard? That very next morning from our camp, my children and I set out to go hiking and explore places up on the Tam McArthur Rim. There is a long trail that meanders to the top, however, you still need to be sure footed, because there are lots of loose rock and uneven ground. I held the hand of my littlest one most of the trail, both up and back down. I had been hiking in this exact vicinity during August a few years previous and stood on the snowcovered mountain in shorts. A friend took a picture of that moment. I was hoping to discover that the winter snow at the higher elevations would still have large patches available to enjoy. That evening we made ourselves lunches and packed them in our backpacks so that
we would be prepared for a much longer hike the next day. However, Candice did not go hiking on this second trip after having gone on that first hike up the mountainside. It had been more than she wanted to contend with again. She stayed behind and hung out with her grandma for the day. The other three kids went with me, expecting a day of exploring the mountains again. When we got to that point which I had discovered from the previous day's hike that snow was still on the hillside, my children expressed to me, "It would be fun to go sledding in the snow during the summertime!" Little did they know, that this was the surprise I had in mind for them. I had taken the liberty of placing in their packs a deflated inner tube, along with an air canister and hand pump. They had been
hiking most of the morning, not even knowing all the while what I had deposited in their packs. That is exactly how the Heavenly Father has done with us. We do not know all that He has deposited inside us when He deposited His glory—the crown jewel of heaven! "She will place on your head an ornament of grace; a crown of glory she will deliver to you" (Proverbs 4:9 NKJV). That 'she' is the personification of wisdom. Jesus has become our wisdom. We all took turns filling the inner tube with the hand pump after the air canister had been emptied. Now we were ready to slide down the hill. This was thrilling for them, having fun in the sun, in shorts and inner tubing! (It was just as much a thrill for myself, to anticipate this moment, to know how they might react, and to enjoy
what had been planned in advance.) I truly believe that this had been inspired within me by the Spirit. We follow Him through Love, and Love directs our thoughts and how we make decisions. "In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him" (I John 4:9 NKJV). After about an hour of sliding, we continued our trek up to higher ground, almost to the 8,000-foot level. We sat and ate our lunches together, viewing the whole panorama, looking at the distant peaks, and enjoying the breathtaking scenery that our God had made. We stood apart on the heights of this Cascade Range. We had conquered the mountain and enjoyed what very few people, if any would have done during the summertime. I took a photo of my crew, capturing this moment with the backdrop of that final jagged peak of Broken Top. This experience is one that would be remembered for a long time afterward.
The cross of Christ, the blood He shed, His substitutional sacrifice and His resurrection from the dead forever settled the issue of our separation from God. When we believe in what God believes in and say “Yes!” to His offer of new life in Christ, He gives us a gift of righteousness. And what is God’s belief? He believes all that He has said about what His Son has done for us! By faith in what Jesus’ blood has accomplished on our behalf we are declared righteous (justified) and have peace with God. (Romans 5:1) From that moment forward we no longer have to live a life sentence of fear and bondage. In a moment of
time, we are delivered from the power of darkness and are translated into His kingdom of freedom in Christ. We are taken out of one kingdom that is ruled by evil forces and translated into God’s kingdom where love reigns. Think about this for just a moment, for it is critical to know that we are no longer in the kingdom of darkness. Therefore, we are not subjects of its ruler or subject to anything that is of that kingdom. If I live in the United States, then I am subject to its laws and government. However, if I live in some other country, I am subject to its laws and government.
In the past we lived in the kingdom of darkness; therefore we were subject to its ruler and his demands. But now that we are born again into this new kingdom, we are under no obligation to obey the dictates of the old dictator! We have a new Lord, and we don’t even live in that old kingdom! Not only so, but the fact is that when we believe on the
Lord Jesus Christ, the old person who was living under the lordship of Satan and his kingdom, in the mind of God, died and was buried together with Christ. Then a new person that never existed before, in the mind of God, was born and raised from the dead together with Christ to walk in newness of life. This new creature is someone that is not a part of the devil’s kingdom. We have left that country and are now citizens of the Kingdom of God! What has God said?
God said that the blood of His Son cleanses us from all sin. He said that when we believe on Him we will not perish, but have everlasting life! (John 3:16)
God says that we have peace, that we are now His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works that He has ordained that we should walk in. (Ephesians 2:10) He says that the war is over! The sin that separated us from Him has been dealt with and is now gone! He says that we have become one with Him.
He is in us, and we are in Him- a perfect union! Yes, the blood of Jesus declares that I have peace with God. God says it, He believes in what the blood of His Son has accomplished, and I choose to believe it as well. We are no longer at odds with each other. The war is over! The enmity is gone. Because of Jesus, we are at peace with God. That changes everything.
Late one evening a few years ago, probably around midnight, I was sitting in my office talking with a good friend of mine. This friend had been staying with me for a while, and we had developed a routine of spending our late evenings discussing God’s nature and unveiling to each other the revelations Holy Spirit had spoken to us that day and discussing what He was teaching us. This particular evening we were discussing God’s unconditional love when suddenly Holy Spirit took me into a vision. Startled by the vision before I was gazing at a dog, a bloodhound, and he was running straight towards me. His lips and ears were flapping up and down as he ran, flapping as if they were
trying to get him airborne, and there was a look of determination in his eyes. That look a bloodhound gets when he is hot on the scent of the very thing he is tracking. I watched this hound come closer and closer towards me, ignoring every obstacle and distraction placed in its way. I asked the Lord, “What is this?” and as quickly as the question entered my mind, I became acutely aware that the bloodhound represented Him and I represented all men. Now truthfully, I had a problem with God being represented as a bloodhound, not sure exactly why but I did until God reaffirmed to me that my interpretation was right. He then explained to me that ever since the fall of man in the Garden in Eden, He has been single in vision
with His eyes set on one point in time and for one purpose. That purpose was to bring back as many of His children as possible into the intimate union with Him they were created in. It was never man’s fall or man’s frailty that held God’s attention. It was man’s
beauty; that image of God’s fullness that caused Him to declare man as “very good”. It was that image that captured His heart and drove Him like a bloodhound hot on the trail of its prey. Man was his prey and bringing man back into union with Him was God’s goal, a goal in which nothing would distract Him, and nothing would keep Him from accomplishing everything His heart set out to do. There is a misconception out there among many Christians circles of belief that God’s sole purpose for sending Jesus was because man sinned. That it was sin that motivated God to send His Son. Sin was the reason Jesus had to pay a price, suffering on a cross, thereby making a way for man to one day go be with God in Heaven. Giving the impression that God is somewhere far away from earth, sitting on His throne and waiting while Holy Spirit is on earth frantically recruiting people to go live with God in His paradise sometime after they die. That’s all fine and dandy but unfortunately, if that belief is true, then you must wait in eager anticipation of your death as you muddle and plod your way through life; left here by God to suffer and endure until your appointed
time of death. This may sound like an exaggeration but unfortunately, it’s not. It is exactly what many either directly or indirectly teach from behind their pulpits every week. When you teach that God is in total control of everything and that the manifestations of the gifts of Holy Spirit have been done away with, that is exactly what you are saying. You are declaring that God chose to leave you here under the oppressive plans of the enemy until your Heavenly Father chooses to give you some rest or you die. All along indirectly declaring that God’s love for His children is on a lesser scale than that of a good earthly father. What good father would choose to leave his children in harm’s way without giving them the ability to overcome. A good father would so stack the deck in the favor of his children as to guarantee victory. But by declaring that God’s provision is less than a good earthly father you cause mistrust and enmity to come between God and His children. Not only is that teaching contrary to everything Holy Spirit was showing me through that vision it is also completely contrary to the very nature of God.
God has been the initiator with man from the very beginning and that didn’t stop just because of sin. God has always been the pursuer in the relationship between He and man and sin didn’t stop that, it intensified it because where sin abounds grace super abounds. This heavenly pursuit begins in Genesis where we see God showing up daily to walk and talk with Adam during the cool of the day. God established an appointed time for the two of them to spend together every day. Now Adam was in communion with God and could be in contact with God always, but even with that God set a time for them to spend one on one intimate time together daily. This was initiated by God and not Adam. Even after Adam sinned and that common union was severed in Adam’s blindness, God still kept His appointment with Adam to talk with him and Father him. Look at Genesis 3:9. Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you? Years ago I was reading this passage and I began wondering why God had called out to Adam, asking him where he was. I mean, God is omniscient, He knows
everything, He would have already known where Adam was and why he was hiding. So being the inquisitive person that I am I asked Holy Spirit why He asked Adam where he was. Then came a response I wasn’t expecting. Truthfully, I had to do some research before I completely sure that it was Holy Spirit that had responded. He said something like, “I didn’t’ say that” or “that’s not what I said”. I thought to myself, “but that’s what it says right here in the Bible”! So, I looked up the verse in the original Hebrew and the word used for “where” is the word ay. Now ay can mean “where” as in where are you but can also mean “what” as in what are you. You see the difference? God was not asking Adam where he was but asking him what he had become. God was fathering Adam and trying to get him to understand exactly what had happened. Even amid Adam’s betrayal, God was the pursuer. He was fathering Adam, beginning to counteract any false impressions Adam was beginning to form about what had happened and even more importantly, any false impressions Adam was beginning to form about God’s nature and intentions. Next, in Exodus, we find God
pursuing His children by sending Moses back to Egypt. Bringing His kids back so they could once again be in relationship with Him. He was once again revealing to them who they were created to be by breaking down any false impressions they had formed about themselves and about God. Why do you think God commanded the Israelites not to create idols? Why was this so important that God made this command number 2 on the all-important thou shalt / thou shalt not list? Was God that worried about competition with a hunk of metal, wood, or stone? Was He offended that they would bow down to an object instead of bowing down to Him? Was He intent on not letting anything get the praise and worship that He alone desired? Of course not! A man-made carving does not intimidate God. He does not get His feelings hurt. He does however, know that our relationship with Him is directly related to how we perceive Him. The Israelites assumed that He was like all the other gods they had known in Egypt. And like the others, they assumed that the God of their fathers wanted them to build an image of Him and worship it. But it is God’s heart’s desire that the thoughts and images of Him that we form in our mind are
based on real personal encounters with Him, which will be consistent with scripture. Not assumptions based on experience alone. It is only during these personal encounters with Him that His true nature is revealed to us, not through the ideas and teachings of another man. God is fully aware that when you create an image and worship it, then that very image you create will define the limits of your relationship with Him. Any image that we create is a representation of our hearts belief of who we think God is. It will be a constant physical reminder reinforcing those beliefs. God, being the good father that He is, was trying to destroy all false impressions they had concerning Him and by doing so re-establish the intimate relationship He longed for. Now let’s surge forward to John 3:16. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Here we see God pursuing man by giving or sending His Son. In Luke 19:10 it states once
again that God is the pursuer, the initiator, the one who is taking the responsibility for the success of this relationship on Himself, not leaving anything to chance. He is doing everything He can do to ensure we are united in union with Him. “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” In Luke 15:4 we catch a glimpse of just how obsessed God is about you. “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? God’s not satisfied to have most of His children. He’s not even happy to just have the majority. He is obsessed to have all and it’s His heart’s desire that none should perish but all come to the saving knowledge “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not
willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” - 2 Peter 3:9 Matthew 18:12-14 “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninetynine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? 13 And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. 14 Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” God’s purpose was never to leave His children abandoned here on this earth to suffer until He finally calls them
home. His purpose and His goal has always been to be in union with His children, to impart the fullness of His power and nature in them; allowing them to be partakers of His divine nature. To equip them not only to overcome any obstacle that may try to raise itself against them but more importantly to impart in them the ability to intimately fellowship with Him. His desire is for his children to be like Him in every way, imitating our Father, and experiencing this union of Him with us. Not sometime in the future or every now and again, but enjoying His presence, and enjoying our unity with Him every second of every day. That’s what motivated Him and that’s what He accomplished on the cross.
Jesus taught this lesson in Mark 11:23 "For verily I say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain be thou removed and be cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith!!" Notice these two things are mentioned when faith in God is mentioned! The mouth must speak, and the heart must believe! This is the Faith of God! This is the Law of Faith! (Rom. 3:27b) Think of how God used this law when he created the universe! God said, and it was!!
God's Word gave substance to the things He believed in His heart, and it was done!!
Have Faith in God, "Or the margin of the Bible says "Have the faith of God.
Right after this powerful lesson of how to use faith God said "Let Us create man in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have dominion (Gen. 1:26) The Living Bible translation said "Let's make someone like ourselves." God intended for man to operate like Him! And He believed in His heart, and spoke with His mouth, and He had what He said!!
Then in Mark 11:23 He tells us how that kind of faith operates! Hallelujah!
This is the Law of Faith!! Jesus commanded us to have the God kind of faith in Mark 11:22.
Proverbs 18:21 tells us that the power of life and death are in the tongue. Now if the bible is true (and it is!!) then the words we speak will create our world. Good or Bad! When we speak words of fear and doubt, sickness, poverty, etc. that is what we will have. Scientists will verify that you can change a person by the words you speak to them! If
you tell a child, he is worthless long enough you can actually change his personality. Then again if you tell the same child that he is loved and that he can be anything he desires (that is good things!!) you will be equipping him for success! If you are continually speaking of how you are always sick or broke, how you can't do something, if the Bible is true, these things will come your way! Satan will see to it! 1 Peter 5:8 " Be sober be vigilant because your adversary the devil, as a
roaring lion walks about seeking whom he may devour." How do you think he finds the people he can devour? He listens to them talk!! How did Jesus overcome the devil? With words! God's words! Speaking God's words kept him safe from Satan's attacks!! Jesus is our example of how to live life and to operate under the Laws of the Spirit of Life!! So my dear friend, we must watch what we believe, and
watch what we say! Make a decision that you are going to find out what God says and Repeat after Him!! Always speak positive things, and you can't get any more positive than God's Word!! Find out what God says about your situation (sickness, poverty, grief, fear) then begin to say what He says! Even if you find it difficult to believe at first, keep on saying it until your heart starts believing! Then you will be operating in the God kind of Faith!!
…He (Jesus) shouted with a loud voice, Lazarus, come out! John 11:43 Do you have a mountain that needs moving? Are you facing a problem that seems impossible? Jesus revealed God’s method for overcoming a problem like this. He knew what how to deal with the death of His friend. He didn’t call for Luke the Physician to fix it. He didn’t call for the religious experts. He called out. The Resurrection and The Life raised His friend by using His Voice. The cells of Lazarus had only one way to respond to the Man named Resurrection.
Awake. Come alive. Come. Out. Jesus said, "You don't have to wait for the End. I am, right now, Resurrection and Life. The one who believes in me, even though he or she dies, will live. John 11:25 Message Bible. Are you waiting for something greater to come or do you hear the sound of the Resurrection echoing through your cells right now? Many people today are waking up to the Power of the Resurrection working through their voice. Our ears are fine tuned to echo the voice of likeness that resonates within us. We are acquainted with the articulate detail of the authentic language of our origin. 2 Corinthians 10:6 Mirror Bible
Do you speak the language of Resurrection and the Life? If you have been redeemed and restored back to the Likeness of Resurrection, then the same Spirit that quickened Jesus will come out of you as you speak. His Authentic language only operates in the realm of Life and Life abundantly. His Word is alive
and powerful. His voice makes things come alive. His Voice in you is fine-tuned to cause people to rise. Can you command cells to come alive by the Authority of Resurrection? Paul knew the Authority had only one purpose when he said, “I write these things while I am absent from you, that when I come to you, I may not have to deal sharply in my use of the authority which the Lord has given me [to be employed, however] for building [you] up and not for tearing [you] down.” 2 Cor 13:10 AMP He knew that the sound of Resurrection was for healing and restoration. Resurrection inhabits your spirit. Since He does, "It stands to reason, doesn't it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he'll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives
and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ’s!” Romans 8:11 MSG He lives in you. He breathes in you. He is doing the same thing He did with the physical body of Jesus. Jesus gave us a demo of this after He shouted, “Lazarus, come out!” in John 11:44 when “out walked the man who had been dead, his hands and feet wrapped in burial cloths (linen strips), and with a [burial] napkin bound around his face. Jesus said to them, Free him of the burial wrappings and let him go.” Like Jesus, should we stir up the cells of others with the Resurrection Power? Paul seemed to think so. This verse is from his letter to the church with the definitions of “raised” and “raise us up” added for convenience.
And God hath both raised up (1a) to arouse from sleep, to awake 1b) to arouse from the sleep of death, to recall the dead to life) the Lord, and will also raise up (1) to arouse, raise up (from sleep) 2) to rouse up, stir up, incite) us by his own power. 1 Cor 6:14 KJV The Message Bible of that same verse says, "God honored the Master's body by raising it from the grave. He’ll treat yours with the same resurrection power,” and “This resurrection life we enjoy in Jesus fully includes you. God reveals in dramatic fashion the value he places on the human body by our joint resurrection with Jesus from the dead.” 2 Cor. 4:14, 1 Cor. 6:14 Mirror Bible. Your voice is God’s chosen method for revealing His Resurrection Power to this world. The same Spirit is working in and through you. Jesus said to her, `I AM the Rising Again, and the life; he who is believing in me, even if he may die, shall live; John 11:25 YLT. Does the sound of the Rising Again stir up the Life of God in your body? Is the Word your source of healing? Shout it out today! The results are supernatural.
Luke 9:51-56 (NKJ) – 51 Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, 52 and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. 53 But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. 54 And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did? 55 But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. 56 For the Son of Man did not come to
destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went to another village. After the ten Jewish tribes were carried away by the Assyrians (in 740 BCE or 733/2 BCE), the king of Assyria sent foreigners to Samaria. They intermarried with the Israelites who remained in the area, producing a group of people known as the Samaritans. The Samaritans were viewed as “half-breeds” by the Jews. This and other factors produced animosity between the two peoples: the Samaritans clashed with Nehemiah over the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem; built a temple on Mount Gerizim; provided sanctuary
for Jewish criminals; and accepted only the books of Moses, while rejecting the prophets and Jewish traditions. This led to irreconcilable differences between the Jews and the Samaritans, who were universally despised by the Jews. However, it did not prevent Jesus from preaching
the gospel to the Samaritans (John 4:6-26). Yet, at another time, when Jesus and His disciples were not received in a Samaritan village, James and John became very upset. They determined it appropriate to use the authority delegated to them by Jesus to call fire down upon the Samaritan hamlet. Jesus responded to their request to do so by informing them that they did “not know what manner of spirit” they were “of” (Luke 9:55, NKJ). Continuing in the next verse, He added, “For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” Let’s now consider mankind’s history related to God-given authority. In Genesis 1:27 (NKJ), God created “man,” male and female, “in His own image.” He then “blessed them,” instructing them to “be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it, have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth” (verse 28). That authority, noted in the words “subdue” and “have dominion,” was given to mankind to empower the man and woman as they went about fulfilling God’s plans for them. Like the
authority spoken of in Luke 9:56, it was not given to mankind to do harm.
triumphed over Satan and the hosts of darkness on the cross (Col. 2:15).
How did mankind lose and regain this authority? When Adam and Eve sinned by eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they experienced spiritual death, finding themselves separated from God. God had warned them of this consequence in Genesis 2:17 (NKJ), stating, “for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” “You shall surely die” literally means “dying you shall die,” which indicates that spiritual death would occur first, then followed by physical death. Resulting from this fall, Adam and Even were no longer able to walk as before in the authority that God had delegated. Though they did go forth and multiply, this occurred while under the curses that God had spoken in Genesis 3:16-19.
Though it took the crucifixion of the Messiah for mankind to gain complete authority over Satan, Jesus, during His 3 ½ year ministry, had, on more than one occasion, delegated authority to His followers. We see this occurring in Luke 9:1 (NKJ), “Then He called His twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases.” We see it expanded in Luke 10:17 (NKJ), “Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.’” As was true with authority when God granted it to mankind in the Garden, so was it true with the authority that Jesus granted His followers. It was not given to do harm. The disciples used it to free people from the ravages of demons, to bring healing, and to enhance the propagation of the gospel. Tragically, we see that James and John, perhaps due to the animosity that they as Jews felt toward Samaritans, or perhaps due to that and other factors, desired to use the authority Jesus had given them to destroy men, rather than to save them. However, God never grants His authority to us to do harm but
Yet, we must remember God had promised that the “seed” of “the woman” would one day “bruise the head” of Satan (Gen. 3:15, NKJ). This promise focused upon the coming offspring or seed of the woman, the Messiah, bruising the head or breaking the lordship of Satan, which resulted from the fall. It was fulfilled when Jesus
to do good. In speaking of this authority in Matthew 28:18 (NKJ), the resurrected Jesus noted, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and earth.” Delegating that authority to His followers then and to the body of Christ eternal, the Church, He stated in verses 19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you…” Mark recounts it this way, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and
is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover (Mark 16:15-18, NKJ). God grants us His authority to do good. We do good when we use it to share the gospel with others; set free those who are bound by demonic possession, obsession, and oppression; and bring healing
to the sick. We should never seek to use it to harm others, even when they oppose our seeking to do the works that God created us to do (Eph. 2:10). We must remember that, ultimately, our battle is not with “flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Eph. 6:12, NKJ). God’s love for mankind must always undergird our use of authority.
Have you ever repented of sin only to later repeat it? You confess, repent, and receive forgiveness and cleansing by faith (1 John 1:9) … each time, over and over. Repentance is a 180 degree turn. When I sin I have turned away from God. I repent and head the opposite direction with God. But often, I find that the 180 has become a 360! How about you? I give in to the same temptation again. And I have to start over. Now I’m not only battling with sin, but with guilt as well. Basically, I’m managing sin, winning the battles, but not the war. How can I keep this from happening? How can I extend the 180 past its starting point? When I come to the same temptation, I have to get beyond it. Each time I do, I get closer to the actual cleansing that I received at confession and repentance by faith. I keep going on the 180 path instead of going around in circles. I must repent at the point of temptation. What does this path look like? I asked this question of the Lord. He said, “If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.” (Lu 9:23) Okay, I know that, but Jesus had me think deeply about it. As Easter approaches, we’re all thinking of His cross, death, and resurrection. This is important for this 180 road that I/we need to be on. It is the destination of our GPS (God’s Precious Spirit). As I’m travelling, I must “fix my eyes on Jesus,” His cross and resurrection. I must receive His mercy, grace, love, forgiveness,
and cleansing, or I can’t even be on Hwy 180. Let’s put this passage in the first person and look at these three point directions. 1. It is at the point of temptation that I must deny myself. The line between temptation and sin can be very thin. What if I cross over into sin? What if I’m not sure if I have or not? It doesn’t matter! The blood of Jesus covers all sin. At the earliest possible point of realization of the temptation, I confess and repent. I deny myself! 2. Immediately, I receive forgiveness and cleansing by faith. I pick up my cross. It was on His cross that our Lord won the victory over sin. As I pick up my cross, I share in His victory! 3. I follow Jesus! I move past that point of temptation on Hwy 180, keeping my eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith. I follow Him. How often? Daily, moment by moment, 24/7, 365 ¼ days per year! How long? Until I reach that place of final and eternal resurrection! Highway 180 leads to heaven. I follow Jesus to the ultimate victory! On Hwy 180, I have not only repented, I am living a repentant life. This is the REZ LIFE! On both sides of Hwy 180 are floods, earthquakes, fires, rain and strong winds, storms, and even tornadoes! So, I must stay on the highway! Close your Bible. Look at the spine. It’s a narrow path! Open your Bible; it’s a little wider! On Hwy 180, there is plenty of Living Bread and cool, refreshing Living Water for daily nourishment for our spirits. The path is narrow, but not so narrow that you cannot bring another with you. As you receive from the Lord, so give to your travelling companion until they are strong enough to pick up a new traveler on the Lord’s highway. We don’t walk alone. This narrow Highway 180 was carved out by our Lord. He lived the REZ LIFE even before He rose from the grave in final victory over sin and death. Following Him were the twelve and the other early disciples. We’re following someone who was following them, and someone is following us. It’s an amazing life! It’s the REZ LIFE! In His REZ LIFE, “I will deny myself, pick up my cross daily, and follow Jesus.” Let’s walk together on Highway 180. Follow Jesus. Bring someone with you.
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:56) We are saved, not because we deserved the salvation of Christ, not at all. But it was because of His infinite mercy that He poured abundantly upon us. Titus puts it like this: “Not by works of righteousness which we
have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:5-7) One thing many do not want to hear about is talk of Islam, Hinduism, Atheism, Judaism and other religions in our world. Even some orthodox religious believers hate to hear the fact that Christ has died for our sins and has done away with every sin and
curse of death. Death has been dealt with in the sacrifice of Jesus, once and for all and for all humanity. And our part to play in this mission is only to believe, accept or to receive Christ as our Lord.
That positions us to be part of this great worldchanging process and the everlasting inheritance of our God upon the human race forever. The reason why some may hate the idea of Christ and are jealous of Him might seem simple to them. In the book of John, right before His eyes, some spat on Him, and some made allegations toward Him saying, Is this not the son of the carpenter? Others have degraded Him to being a mere prophet instead of recognizing Him as the Son of God. But even the same people see it to be great blasphemy and a great insult to relate Jesus to God. I live in a Zongo community in Takoradi where Muslims are there in numbers, and one day as I walked beside the corridors of their mosque, a pass way for everyone who lives in that area, I overheard someone teaching them with strong illustrations. That person He cited an example in his presentation, and I nodded my head. “How will you feel and what will you do, if you to see that someone is insulting your mother or father with bitter words?” Then the Holy Spirit
inspired me to wait for the next message he was going to say, and as I wondered about it, the young teacher continued. “Or how will you feel and what will you do when you are sitting in a bus, and you see this young preacher man who gets up boldly in the vehicle and starts to preach that Jesus Christ is the Son of God? What are you going to do?”
head to believe that this is something extraordinary. But an anti-Christ is someone or something which is in direct opposition to Christ and whatever He represents. It is, however, pathetic when some Christian brothers try to compromise their faith and make peace with Islam, which is willing to subject to the doctrine of Christ.
I was tormented when I heard that word and my body began to shake until I suddenly gained control and continued with my walk. As I was walking, he tried to give them a solution which was and their solution was simple; “turn the message into a debate to destruct the whole session by wisdom without fighting.” And I said wow, the church has a great work to do. I have mine to do and the same as you.
When you walk through the corridors of most of our African Pentecostal and Charismatic denominations and see the kind of jealousy, strives, envy, hatred, and all kind of dishonesty going on, this all seems to be done in the name of the Lord. And when these have neglected the sure word of God, then you can see how backward the church has become. My question is, “how many people can stand all these things and for how long?”
This was the text that flashed into my mind; Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son. (1 John 2:22) When the word anti-Christ is heard, many in the church today raise their
In Matthew chapter 16, Jesus was tempted with a question by the Pharisees to show them the signs of the times and His first two answers were in parables. The Pharisees, also with the Sadducees came and desired for Him to show them a sign from heaven.
He answered and said to them; “When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, It will be foul weather today: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.” (Matthew 16:1-4). To discern “the face of the sky” means that you claim you believe in “the scriptures,” but He asks them, “can ye not discern the signs of the times?” which means, can you not see the scriptures being fulfilled? Why were they seeking after signs? It was because the scriptures
must be believed and to be acted upon. What drives my greatest passion all the times is to go out and preach the gospel. When the church fathers heard the message of the cross, the Azuza Street generation had nothing in mind except the ultimate commission of the Lord to His church in Mark 16:1618. Like us, those who were filled with the Holy Ghost made “destiny changing decisions” to embark on a mission which brought about a rampant growth in the spiritual and physical lives of different classes and categories of people of many generations. Their main concern was to die to self and in the process of their quest was to do the will of God and these were happy people. They were not selfcentered, hindered by strive envy, jealousy or hatred. But they were a
clear reflection of the church in the book of Acts who were always about unity. I foresee an army arising who are about to emerge in this generation, which will have nothing to do with self, strife, greed, jealousy, hatred, anger and bitterness. A chosen army of the Lord will arise, who will take the same touch their fathers took, who are not mindful about who has the greater anointing and power. They know that the power follows them as they go out to those dark regions of the world today. And they will be filled with the message proclaiming Jesus is Lord, and Jesus saves. They will declare, “believe the Gospel” just like the way Peter proclaimed it on the day of Pentecost. I am sure that the hour is set and is now starting with you and me. Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature, which the Lord has already told us. Hallelujah!
TEEN WARRIORS SECTION
Salvation is the very act of being delivered from something absolutely devastating to the soul of mankind. Judgment has been passed. Death and Hell is our Penalty. We have only one appeal. That is to the Lord Jesus Christ who is our advocate to God Almighty. Tell me the old, old story, Of unseen things above, Of Jesus and His glory, Of Jesus and His love; This old hymn has been sung by countless tens of thousands since written in 1834. The question is have we really listened to that story? Do we really understand the gravity of what Jesus Christ has done
and what He expects of us? Are we now armed with that knowledge to truly follow Him? The Power of Jesus Christ isn’t just revealed at that moment when He rose from the dead on the 3rd Day following His crucifixion. It is those precious words He spoke as to the validity of His mission that gives us the depth of His power. He revealed that He was not only the Son of God but had been with the Father even before His birth. His authority over death was verified when the Earth shook; then the graves opened as Saints arose and went into the City after His death on the cross. Matthew 27:52,53
After that event, the Centurion and those that saw this event said, “Truly this was the Son of God.” Knowing who He is isn’t enough. On the last day, it is said that there will be many who thought they knew Him, but He will say to them, “Depart you worker of iniquity, I never knew you.” It is said in Matthew Chapter 7:22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we
not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. This shows us that Knowing of Jesus and even the ability to access His power by using the word of God doesn’t necessarily mean that someone is a Christian or follower of Christ. To me, this is one of the hardest things to imagine that you can actually convince yourself you are in Christ and still be absolutely in the flesh. The delusion of the modern church is often simply showing up for fellowship and that living a respectable life is enough. In the case mentioned it is even more alarming that a people could use scripture to imitate miracles that are possible because someone believed however it might not have been them.
These are definitions of ‘To Follow”. 1. go or come after (a person or thing proceeding ahead); move or travel behind 2. come after in time or order 3. act according to (an instruction or precept): 4. pay close attention to (something): When Jesus called a Disciple out, He would say to them, ’Take up your cross and follow me.” He knew these men would be the founding fathers of our faith. They were ordinary men who once they were followers of Christ were able to accomplish extraordinary things. It was only in that surrender that they would become champions of the faith. Those who were resurrected at His death on the cross were Saints. It is prophesied that in the last day the dead in Christ shall rise first and those who are alive will also meet Him
in the clouds. This catching away of all the Saints will happen sooner rather than later. It could be today. However, no one who follows after their own flesh or any other god will be in that blessed reunion. They shall remain here until Judgment. The verdict is guilty. Unless you and I repent and follow after Jesus Christ, the verdict is death. I pray that we will all be ready when we finally meet the Lord of lords and King of kings face to face. Until then, let us all be fishermen of men. First be a follower of Christ then in confidence go and tell others that ‘old old story’ as you direct them to do the same. God bless you all who have read this article is my prayer. FOLLOW JESUS in all you say and do today and be sure He will never lead you astray, He paid a debt we could not pay, so FOLLOW JESUS TODAY!
God has given us the supernatural opportunity to heal and pray for the sick. We are living examples of God's love, mercy, and grace. We must spread this wonderful, gift God has blessed us with. Imagine, if you were not saved and did not ask Jesus to become your Lord and Savior, and you wanted to start over, walking hand in hand with God. But no one would talk to you on how to do so. God wants us to reach out to those who need His mercy and undefeated love. Just think, we can't just sit back and let the world fall apart. God has called us all forth to be his children. And to walk with Him.
God has given us the power to move mountains. What I mean by this is, we can pray for people and remove their problems or issues (mountains). We
can roar like lions. What this means is, we can preach and teach The Word of God like lion’s roar. You might be thinking, “I can't do this! I am not worthy of God's plan to change the world!" In God's eyes, you are worthy of all things. That is why He continually and repeatedly forgives you for your wrongs. He loves you; He created you in His own image. He wants to be with
you; He wants to walk with you. If you decide not to be with God, he will not just walk away and find someone else. He will fight for you. He will fight hard I assure you. There is no person in the universe to replace you. For God to create this planet, all living creatures, all the billions of people, that's a vivid imagination. Don't put God down. He is the only person you will ever know who will fight with everything he has got for you.
