Frank Duprée was raised in Long Island, NY and in 1979 he came to New Jersey to start Living Water Church in North Arlington. He has served the Church and community there for more than 35 years. Along with his Pastoral experience, he also holds a Doctoral Degree in Biblical Studies. He has been on staff as a Bible Teacher at Pinecrest Bible Training Center which was founded by his first Spiritual Father, the late Dr. Wade E. Taylor through whom he was recognized and consecrated as a Bishop and Apostle in the late 1990’s. In January 2000 he founded a Ministry which is now called Transformation Network. It is a fellowship that brings Fivefold Gift Ministers together with Marketplace Ministers. The Network is not only active in New Jersey but also in Bridgeport, CT., Boston, Mass, Trinidad, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Nairobi, Kenya and Faisalabad, Pakistan. Bishop Duprée has served on the Apostolic Council of Christ Covenant Coalition; a National Fellowship founded by Bishop Joseph Mattera in 1999. Working closely with Apostle Bernard Wilks of Newark, NJ Bishop Frank is a Member of the Executive Council of Transformation Newark and is also a Founding Member of The Newark Area Apostolic Council. He also serves on the Apostolic Council of One Nation Network whose Presiding Apostle is his Spiritual Son, Dr. Nathan J. Culver of Atlanta, GA. There is a “New Day” on the horizon. It is a day when the Body of Christ is revealed to the world through signs and wonders and in such a way that the world will see Jesus like they never have seen Him before. When will it happen? How will it happen? Who will it happen to? These are all part of a “Mystery”. Biblical Mysteries are special messages from God that are hidden or covered so those who understand them become more powerful and are much more likely to enter into the destiny that The Lord has prepared for them. From The Message Bible we see that God has a plan or “destiny” for each of us. Jeremiah 29:11 I know what I’m doing. have searched out and am going to reveal to you! We have heard for so long that God is doing a “New Thing” but most of what we have heard about this “New Thing” is the same old thing just dressed up in a new wrapper! I believe that The Lord is doing a “New Thing”. One thing I can tell you is that He is not raising up a superstar minister to do His will and demonstrate His Glory on earth. We have seen so many Men and Women of God proclaim that they are the one who is going to usher in the return of Christ and that God has chosen them as a special vessel for these last days. Nothing could be further from the truth! Bishop Frank Dupree - 2015 Let me tell you what The Lord is doing… the “New Thing” is that He is raising up a “Generation” that will act as one man! This is the “New Thing”! He is raising up a “Generation” … they will be a “Company of Believers” who will have the “Mind of Christ” where Ministers don’t just consider their own ministry but they walk according to the way the Apostle Paul described it in Philippians 2:3-5 (KJV) “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in
lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus… The Prophet Daniel saw this generation and spoke of it in Daniel 7:27 (KJV) “And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High,
whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.” This generation will be given tremendous power. They shall receive “the kingdom and dominion” and all the greatness of it shall be theirs. What kind of people is God looking to give this kind of power to? There are significant conclusions drawn out for you in this article. Once you see them you will never see yourself or your Church the same any more. Once this revelation of this “Mystery Generation”, what I call “The 42nd Generation” is made clear to you your life will be changed forever! Let’s begin by reading Ephesians 3:1 - 10 (KJV) and pay special attention to the verses I have emphasized. “For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ Which in other ages
was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God…” Paul says in 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) that we need to be able to “rightly dividing the word of truth.” To understand this mystery, you must be able to rightly divide the Word of Truth… and, you must be open to this “New Thing”. So look at it in The Scriptures and get ready for the first part of the revelation to be opened up to you.
Isaiah 43:19-21 (KJV) Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. The beast of the field shall honor me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. Do you see it? The “New Thing” is the forming of a “People”! Read it again! It is a “People” … a “Generation” who will “shew forth” or “demonstrate” His Praise! David speaks of them too! Psalm 102:16-18 (KJV) When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory. He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer. This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD. This is written for a “Generation to come” … A “People” created specifically to “Praise the Lord” …
The Lord called them “Zion” … They are known by other names in the Word too… The Overcomers The Sons of God Now, this article is not meant to reveal everything about this Generation but to whet your appetite for more understanding of the mystery… My prayer for you is from Ephesians 1:18 that “The eyes of your understanding might be enlightened so you may fully understand the hope of his calling, and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints”. Let’s dig in… For those of you familiar with the Apostles letters, the “calling” is also found in Philippians 3:14 (KJV) I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. This “High Calling” is to be a part of this “Generation” … to be an “Overcomer” … to walk in a “Corporate Anointing” which Paul mentions in Romans 8:19 (KJV) “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”
So, now, I hope you are hungry for more! Let’s dig in deeper! This revelation that I am sharing with you will bring you to a new level of understanding about the Body of Christ and the Overcoming Company of Believers that are: “The 42nd Generation”. We have to go to The Gospel of Matthew 1:1-17 where we are given the genealogy of Jesus. It is in this genealogy that we will see the 42nd Generation introduced to us. For the sake of space, please read that section of the Bible now… Alright, now, Matthew 1:17 says; “…all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.” That gives us a total of 42 Generations… Here is where “rightly dividing the word of truth” is crucial… This is a very sensitive part of the revelation… Some cannot grasp it and so they will reject it outright… But if you simply are open to read the
Word as it is and not as you think it is supposed to be you will come to the only conclusion you can come to. If you read verses 1-16 you will be able to count 14 generations from Abraham to David and 14 generations from David to the carrying away into Babylon but only 13 generations from the carrying away unto Babylon unto Jesus! Didn’t you think it would be 14? Go ahead, read it again and count them. There are 14 generations, 14 generations and then we count 13 generations to Jesus and “Christ” is number 14! You see the Word says that there are 14 generations unto “Christ”. So, if we “rightly divide” this Scripture we are actually seeing this mystery revealed right before our eyes. The Word of God is Truth… it cannot be wrong… There obviously is a “42nd Generation” here and the Apostle Matthew gives that generation a name and that name is “Christ”. Read Isaiah 8:18 (KJV) “Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.”
You see Jesus has “begotten us”; we are his “offspring” … Look at this Scripture in this light of this revelation… 1 Peter 1:3-5 (KJV) “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Peter says that there is something special to be revealed in the last time… And, what I am presenting to you is that it is a Mystery Generation… The 42nd Generation… The “Christ Generation”! This generation is for “signs and wonders”. They will be a people of praise. They will walk with “the mind of Christ”. They are being built up in these last days and are seen in the symbolism of “Zion”! You see we are living in a special “Dispensation” … Just as Paul was given a mystery to reveal to his
generation I am revealing a mystery to you. It’s the Mystery of Christ… Not a mystery about Jesus but about the Generation that comes forth from Jesus and demonstrates God’s Glory to the World as “One Man”! It is not a superstar… not “a man” who does this! It is an End Time Army … The Prophet Joel describes it: Joel 2:1-11 (KJV) “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people
set in battle array. Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness. They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall; they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief. The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?” Can you see it? It is the “New Thing” that The Lord is doing! This Generation will be a “remnant” people… Not everyone will qualify for it… Only those who have “pressed in” reaching for the
prize of the “High Calling” of God in Christ! You see, God is calling us… Matthew 22:14 (KJV) “For many are called, but few are chosen.” Another translation says it this way: “For many are called but few are choosing”. There is a price to pay to be in this Company… That’s why few chose to be a part of it. The 42nd Generation is made up of those who have died to themselves and now live for Christ… Doesn’t that take on a new meaning? Live for “Christ” … Live to be a part of The Christ Generation! It will be made up only of those who have submitted to the process of death to self. Read this again: Philippians 3:12-14 (KJV) “Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Now look at the words of Jesus and consider them in the light of the mystery of Christ… Luke 16:16 (KJV) “The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.” There are many things that people think that Ministers are supposed to do… and there is much to do but the most important thing that we who are Fivefold Ministers are to do is this: Ephesians 4:11-13 (KJV) “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:” You see, the mystery is all about getting a people hungry enough for God’s Glory to be revealed and demonstrated through their lives that they submit to the mystery… and it is about getting the Fivefold Ministry to focus on edifying the Body of Christ so they
grow up and “measure up to the stature of the fullness of Christ”! Part of the “Mystery” is that both Ministers and those ministered to “rightly divide the word of truth” and see that Paul is not talking about measuring up to “Jesus” but to “Christ” … the same Christ that Matthew speaks of in chapter 1 … The 42nd Generation; the Christ Generation! I have carried this revelation for over 30 years waiting for the time to come to reveal it to the Body of Christ… I long to see believers come into their destiny; to see the “Hope of their Calling”. Paul said it this way: Galatians 4:19 (KJV) “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you…” He had birthed them into the Kingdom of God through the Gospel. Now he was “travailing again” to see “Christ formed” in them. He longed to see them walk in maturity… Ephesians 4:14-16 (KJV) “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning
craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” Like Paul, I long to see Christ fully developed in each believer… That I may, like Paul said in Colossians 1:28 (KJV) “Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:”
That word “perfect” means “complete” … fully developed, mature… no longer a child but now a Son. Therefore, the “Mystery” that Paul received and I am sharing with you is that of a The Lord is raising up a “Generation” that will walk in unity and will manifest the Glory of God… Read what the Prophet said: Daniel 11:32b (KJV) “…but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” He is doing a “New Thing” … Can you see it? Do you desire to be a part of it? 1 Corinthians 13:10-11 (KJV) “But when that which is perfect is come, then that
which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” That which is “perfect” in the context of all that Paul wrote and peached is the Christ Generation… Sons, not children. Let’s “put aside childish things” and “grow up”. Let’s “press into the High Calling of God” and become a people of Praise who demonstrate the Glory of God and walk as One Man; Christ… It’s time for the Christ Generation to come forth… All creation is waiting for the dawning of this New Day!

A PROPHETIC NEW DAY!

Luke 1:78-80 (GOD’S WORD Translation - GW) says, “78 A new day will dawn on us from above because our God is loving and merciful. 79 He will give light to those who live in the dark and in death’s shadow. He will guide us into the way of peace. 80 The child John grew and became spiritually strong. He lived in the desert until the day he appeared to the people of Israel.” Here in this passage, it is foretold about the conception and birth of both John the Baptist and Jesus. In the process of these events, Mary visits Elizabeth and the Bible says in verse 41 it says, “And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.” Then later on, in verse 67 it says, “Now his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied.” Now, Elizabeth, the wife of Zacharias, were the parents of John the Baptist. And John’s father, Zacharias “prophesied” which the Greek word used here means to foretell events, speak under inspiration, exercise the prophetic office. The biblical usage of this word shows us that Zacharias did speak forth by divine inspirations, and
make predictions. And Zacharias prophesies and expounds on many things, but we will take a look at a few of them. In verses 67-80, in the God’s Word translation (GW) it clearly states in verse 78, “A new day will dawn on us from above because our God is loving and merciful.” He clearly speaks of “A new day” and prophesies in line with the Word of God, declaring this new day will come from above “because our God is loving and merciful.” James 1:17 says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” Now, the New King James Version says, “Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us {or as some translators say this should read, shall visit us}” This word “Dayspring” (not to be confused with DayStar), comes from a word meaning, “a rising up” and ultimately refers to Jesus. Therefore, Zacharias is prophesying about the birth of a Savior, which will cause “A New Day” to spring forth in the lives of many. And in Zacharias prophecy,
the voice of the Spirit touches on many points that are being brought forth in this Prophetic New Day. So, we can see in verse 68 how God reminds Israel that redemption will come as He had already promised. This redemption will bring forth “A Prophetic New Day” that will affect mankind for many years to come. And in verse 69 we are told how this redemption will come. It says, “And {God} has raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of His servant David.” Also in another place it says, “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6) Now, Jesus is this prophetic “horn of salvation” that comes through the lineage of
King David. And Matthew 1:1 confirms it by saying, “The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham.” So, what we see here in this passage is that Zechariah is rejoicing that God, through the lineage of David is prophetically bringing us Jesus. The coming of Christ brings God to mankind, and at the same time, brings mankind to God. Therefore, as the Bible says, “{God} has raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of His servant David.” This Davidic horn in some versions of the Bible is simply translated, “mighty Savior.” In Luke 1:69 (The Voice translation - VOICE) it says, “And the Lord has raised up a powerful sign of liberation for us from among the descendants of God’s servant, King David.” And this “Davidic horn” will do a mighty work of deliverance in the earth, bringing redemption to all mankind by first sending a prophet, John the Baptist who will prepare the way for Jesus. This deliverance will pertain to all areas of political, physical, emotional
and spiritual dimensions. The only thing mankind has to do to participate in this Prophetic New Day, is to individually accept Jesus as their Savior. So now, deliverance is available to all through the finished work of Jesus, Amen. Another interesting prophetic point is found in verse 70 which says, “As He {Father God} spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets, Who have been since the world began.” This tells us that God has always had a plan of redemption for all mankind which was declared in the Old Testament and at this point, was to be fulfilled in the New Testament through Jesus. Yes, John’s birth means that God was once again working toward His promise of redemption and Zacharias gives praise to God because a redeemer is coming, intending to redeem all mankind. This prophecy shows us a picture of strength in the coming Messiah, which is why Zechariah mentions the horn. And according to Old Testament history, the horns of an ox was used for
protection and for defeating opponents. The same horn was also used for a warrior or for a king who saves his people. This is why Zacharias prophesied about “A Prophetic New Day,” introducing the King of kings and Lord of lords. God was doing what He had promised and now, His word has come to pass. So, make sure that you finish reading and dissecting this powerful prophecy given by the Holy Spirit, through Zacharias in verses 67-80. Finally, Luke 19:10 says, “for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” We have a King who came to save all who were lost. And remember, God never planned for anyone to be lost, but for redemption to come to all mankind. 2 Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” I too, praise God that we are a part of “A Prophetic New Day.” …Think about it!!
Listen diligently for God's voice

God is calling each of us to diligently listen. There are varying ways of what it is like to hear God's voice. To listen we must be quiet or as the Bible instructs us...we must be still. For a long time, I had always wanted to listen for an inner audible voice, something like “Hi, it's God. This is what I want you to do.” Well, that is convenient and nice, and God does speak that way at times, but there are other ways he communicates with us as we prepare for the later days.
Habakkuk knew the sound of God speaking to him. In Habakkuk. 2:1-2, we read: “I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint. Then the Lord replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald (or whoever reads it) may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it lingers, wait for it (faith); it will certainly come and will not delay.”
If what you are hearing is from God, it won't be something that will cause harm, pain or suffering to anyone. God is a God of love and he wants his disciples –– you and I – to walk in the same love as he showed while he was on earth in human form.
Elijah described it as a still, small voice –– described as a 'gentle whisper' in I Kings 19:12. What did God's voice sound like? It is Spirit-level communication. It is spontaneous thoughts, impressions or visions.
Experience has shown me that usually God's voice comes as a spontaneous thought, a vision, a feeling, or an impression. For example, haven't you been driving down the highway or a street and had a thought come to you to pray for a certain person? Didn’t you believe it was God telling you to pray?
Sometimes to understand scripture or a word, you have to search its origin. When we pray for someone it's called intercession. The Hebrew word for intercession is 'paga', which means “a chance encounter or an accidental intersecting." That's what God does when he lays people on our hearts to pray for.
Dreams and visions is another way to hear God's voice, his directives and his light on your path. Habakkuk was actually looking for vision as he prayed. He opened the eyes of his heart, and looked into the spirit world to see what God wanted to show him. God told Habakkuk 'write down' the vision in Habakkuk 2:2. This was not an isolated command. I believe it is encouraging to our soul to see those prayers and blessed answers before us. God can and does speak to us through his scripture. When I am led to a particular scripture that addresses one of my concerns or prayer requests, I'm not bashful about grabbing a pen and underlining it or highlighting it with a marker. I sometimes jot down a date beside as a reminder or a marker point when God showed me this truth.
If you have a Bible that's too good to mark in and write in, then you probably need to buy one that you can do that with. A big key to being able to hear God's voice speaking to us is being able to slow down and listen. To hear God's voice, we have to slow down in our prayer time and listen. Psalm 46:10 encourages us to be still, and know that He is God. There is a deep inner knowing spontaneous flow in our spirits that each of us can experience when we quiet our flesh and our minds. If we are not still, we will sense our own
thoughts, not God's. Listening to a quiet worship song is one very effective way to become still so God can talk to us. After I worship and become silent within my heart, I can open myself for that flow and hear what God is saying. Having a time of praise and worship is key to recharging our inner spirit and soul. To praise God is to worship, honor, and glorify Him. The psalmist says in Psalm 92:1: 'It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High.' The Psalms are full of praise to God, many of them written
in times of great trial, affliction and tribulation when it would not be the natural thing to praise God. If we praise God even when we do not feel like it or our circumstances do not warrant it, we soon find that our hearts are cheered, our faith is strengthened, and joy springs up within our spirits. Let us all make a point of deciding what works for each of us. In doing this we can do what God wants us to do in our churches and in our communities to spread the good news of salvation, forgiveness, repentance, mercy and grace. But first, God wants us to just listen.
Arise!

Arise! Isaiah 60:1, “Arise, shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.” It's a new day for you! Jesus already provided everything you need for life and godliness. See 2 Peter 1:3. You don't have to stay where you are. Just because you've struggled for a long time, doesn't mean that your struggle can't end today! You must see yourself as an overcomer, the "more than a conqueror" that the Lord Jesus has made you to be. Don't see yourself as bound, or defeated. That isn't who you are, if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, ‘If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold everything has become new.” It's time to arise! It's time to become determined that you will walk in the victory that Jesus purchased for you. His death and resurrection wasn't in vain. It was for you, not so you can just go to Heaven. That would be more than enough, but He loves
you so much that He even wants you to enjoy your time here on Earth! You are not meant to be defeated, struggling with sin, or sickness. If you are living below what God's word says about you, then you are missing out on what He desires for you. Decide that today will be different! Let go of the past, even if it was one minute ago! The Bible says "to take courage." Break the power of discouragement off of yourself in Jesus name! Shake off the grave clothes of defeat and despair. Take God's word and begin to speak encouragement to yourself. Begin to walk in faith again. It's impossible for God to lie! We can't always rely on others to encourage and comfort us. We must take God's word and apply it ourselves in order to have lasting change in our lives. The book of James says that it is the doer of the word of God that is blessed. We must get it into our hearts and apply it to our lives. Decide that you will be one of those who are
blessed. The Lord isn't holding anything back from you. He's given you authority through Jesus. God can't be in control of a situation unless you take control of it with the word of God and the name of Jesus. Jesus did His part. On the cross, He said, "It is finished." Now you must take hold of what Jesus has accomplished for you. Decide that you are not going to base your believing on your past experiences, the experiences of others, or even the time it is taking for your circumstances to change. Base your believing on the truth of God's word! Don't give up, stay encouraged! Arise! Take hold of what Jesus has taken hold of for you! It's a new day!
Getting and Staying Rid of Baggage from Our Past

Philippians 3:12-14 (NKJ) – 12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended, but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Sitting alone in the dark room, Bob contemplated his life. His mindset as dark as the room he sat in, Bob found himself spiraling into discouragement, despondency and depression. As his thoughts stumbled amidst many unhappy memories, peace and joy fled from his countenance. He mumbled hopelessly to himself, “What’s the use? What’s the use?” Perhaps most if not all of us have found ourselves at some time or other in Bob’s position. Faced with trials and tribulations, sometimes the result of our own decisions, at other times the result of the decisions of others, we find ourselves tempted to embrace the ugly D’s of Discouragement, Despondency and
Depression. Embrace them but for a moment and our outlooks become clouded with doubts, worries and fears. Embrace them too long and our lives seem useless, pointless and without hope. During such times we may even question God’s love for us. Writing of the tragic loss of life via the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald in 1975, Gordon Lightfoot queried, “Does anyone know where the love of God goes when the waves turn the minutes to hours?” As Lightfoot noted, tragic times can make us wonder where God’s love has gone. Though God’s love, being unconditional, is never withdrawn from us, we can forget that fact when we allow our minds to fixate on dark, depressing and discouraging thoughts. Faced with such times, we need a new beginning. We need a fresh start. We need to experience a new day. To experience that new beginning we need a place to deposit the baggage of our past that we might continue life’s journey unfettered, freely allowing God’s plans for our lives to take ascendency. The place to deposit such baggage is upon God. We do so by acting upon the words of 1 Peter 5:7 (NKJ), “casting all your care
upon Him, for He cares for you.” Casting speaks of throwing or placing our cares on God, of giving them to Him. The cares or baggage we are to cast upon Him exist as past failures, rejections, distractions, anxieties, worries, fears, burdens, etc. Having cast our baggage upon God, we should leave it there. Like Paul spoke of doing with things from his past, we want to forget them. Such forgetting speaks of no longer caring for and focusing upon those past mistakes, rejections, distractions, worries, fears and burdens. God does not want us habitually focusing upon and fretting over such things. He wants us to give them over to Him, to forget them, to allow them to travel to the oblivion provided for them by His grace, by His great love for us. He does not want them to remain as weights in our lives. Remembering that Hebrews 12:2 informs us that weights
and sin ensnare or hinder us, we do not want to hang onto weights or sin. If we have any unconfessed sin, we need to confess it to Him that it no longer ensnares or hinders us. Experiencing a new beginning is not about hanging onto the baggage of our past, whether that baggage exists as unhappy memories, regrets, fears, worries, anxieties or unconfessed sin. And, rather than tossing the baggage upon God and then unwisely taking it back, we need to leave it with Him and forget it there, allowing Him to place it in oblivion.
Furthermore, we need to “gird up the loins” of our minds or to take control over what we think about or upon, calmly placing our hope upon His grace, grace that empowers us for the journey ahead. A map to guide our thoughts on that journey is provided by Philippians 4:8 (NKJ), “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate upon these things.”
This is the day the Eternal God has made; let us celebrate and be happy today. Psalm 118:24 – The Voice
Finally, let us always remember the purpose of new beginnings. Having cast our baggage upon God and forgetting what is behind, that purpose is to “press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 3:14, NKJ). Doing so speaks of unfettered fellowship with Him, of consistent and healthy growth in grace. Doing so speaks of knowing the peace that He desires we experience in our walks with Him. Doing so speaks of joyfully living in a manner void of pointlessly carrying the baggage of our past.

Well my Brothers and Sisters in Christ! Here we have celebrated another Christmas and entering into a brand New Year! What lies ahead? What does it hold? I hope you had a wonderful Christmas celebration with your families and friends. Chestnuts roasting on the open fire and all! What a great day to be a servant and child of God! Admittedly, 2 Timothy 3:1-5 is coming to pass in these last days. 2 Timothy 3:1-5King James Version (KJV) says: 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. And as these things are coming to pass, as we speak it
is NOT a time to sink into discouragement! If you remember American History, or the history of the Church, the Church has always grown when it is under pressure! I believe in 2016, we will see the greatest growth period ever on the face of the earth! Signs and wonders as never before, it will cast a shadow on the book of Acts! It has already begun! There is a move of God like a great swell of a gigantic wave coming across the nations! What a great thing to be a part of! Literally millions of people receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior. And WE get to be a part of it all! There will be those denying the power thereof! Denying God’s saving, healing, miracle working power. But they are going to be quieted by the abundance of God’s love, power, and grace shown through His Body the true Church! YOU are someone God is going to use! You can actually see what is going to happen in Isaiah 60:1-5: James Version (KJV) says: 1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and
gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. 3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. 4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. 5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee. Hallelujah! This is happening right now! Rise up out of the ashes of your fears and
doubts! As God said to Moses “Surely I will be with you!” You can recall many great men and women of God!

His Mercies are New Every Morning
Have you ever had a really bad day and thought to yourself that whatever you just did God could never move past? The NIV of Lamentations 3:22-23 says, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." God can and will move past whatever sin you committed when you repent. Repenting is when you are truly sorry for what you did by not doing that sin again. It's not saying sorry and then keep on doing whatever sin you just committed. It's turning away from sin. Just because God's mercies are new every morning, it doesn't give you the right to keep on sinning. The Bible says in 1 John 1:9 says," Anyone having been born of God does not practice sin, because His seed abides in him, and he is not able to continue sinning, because he has been born of God. “Having mercy from God doesn't mean that whatever sin you just committed will not have consequences either because it will. The NIV of Romans 6:23 says," For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. All you have to do is repent (stop sinning, and ask for forgiveness), and God will have His arms wide open for you with forgiveness. The NIV of Acts 3:19 says, "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord," Each
day that you have with God should be a day where you serve Him with your whole heart, and turn away from sin. If you happen to sin you must change your ways and turn away from that sin. Turning away from sin is obeying God. When you obey God, it shows that you truly love him. The NIV of John 14:23 says," Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them." There will be times in life when we do sin because nobody is perfect, but when that does happen it's up to us to turn away from it and have a heart that desires to please him every day.
A New Beginning

‘And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid’ (Ezra 3: 11) The 1st January 2016 is not just a new day it marks the beginning of a new year; a chance to put the old behind us and make a fresh start. For Christian believers making a fresh start in 2016 by laying a firm foundation in the Spirit and Scripture truth is essential. The biblical basis of a new beginning is clearly demonstrated by Isaiah who declared, ‘Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them’ (Isaiah 42: 9). And again he said, ‘Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert’ (Isaiah 43: 19). In Scripture and through His prophets and watchmen God has constantly informed and warned His people. Today these words of Isaiah are important because over many years various signs have supported what God is trying to tell His children. In fact, as Isaiah said He is already
‘doing a new thing’ … ‘do you not perceive it?’ God is making a final way in the wilderness of sin and separation from Him. The waters of the Holy Spirit are coming to feed the hungry and quench the thirsty. Prophetically 2016 brings with it a shuddering in world events and a shaking of the Church. God’s calling in all of this is for His people to walk in holiness, spark Revival fires, be ready and hasten the return of Jesus. The Holy Spirit is prompting the Church to get ready and so we must humbly and obediently listen and do whatever it might personally cost in yielded submission to fulfil God’s plan for us. The urgent calling is: a. ‘Leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity’ (Hebrews 6: 1). b. ‘Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling’ (Philippians 2: 12) c. ‘As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all
you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy’ (1 Peter 1: 14 – 16). The New Year 2016 brings with it no more toleration of lukewarm worldliness in our Christian lives. There are no more middleground allowances, the light of Jesus will expose the darkness of sin and half-light of mediocrity in our lives; we must demonstrably ‘bear fruit that befits repentance’ (Matthew 3: 8). Time has come to fully understand by revelation (not head knowledge) that sin and purity, worldliness and holiness and light and darkness cannot coexist. We cannot be filled with the Spirit and walk in worldliness. We cannot use the gifts of the Spirit and walk in sin and lacklustre
repentance. Those that try to live this way will not only be increasingly ineffective and spiritually impotent but they tragically leave themselves open to evil spirits saying, ‘Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?’ (Acts 19: 15); and Jesus saying, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ (Matthew 7: 23). In the third chapter of the Old Testament book Ezra we come across the story of the re-building of the Holy Temple at Jerusalem which was eventually destroyed due to unheeded warnings and the people losing their way because they were not serving as they should with lives of separation and holiness to God. The opening Scripture that I used for this article tells us how the people shouted with loud praise when a new foundation had been laid. Renewal and a revival of the Holy sanctuary were on its way.
We can learn from the reasons behind the Temple destructions and build our lives on a new foundation. Scripture says, ‘Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your body’ (1 Corinthians 6:19 - 20). The problem for many Christian believers is that because of worldly and sinful associations their spiritual temple is in ruins and the Holy Spirit has gone. The calling of God in 2016 is for each of us to start the year by rebuilding our temple and restoring and relaying a foundation built on Scripture truth and holiness so that we are ready to face the coming fire of God and receive a mighty wave of Revival. The true Gospel, faith and grace of God messages of Scripture have far too often been misrepresented and abused in many church teachings today. These are not a licence to do
nothing, stagnate, live worldly lives, sin and then expect salvation. They are there to bring us to repentance. No true Christian believer can continue in sin. To do so is to deny what the blood of Jesus at Calvary achieved when we first believed and had our sins washed away. We must wake up to the fact that ‘Without holiness no one will see the Lord’ (Hebrews 12: 14). This is the truth of Scripture, 'We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them' (1 John 5: 18). Those truly born of God do not sin and satan cannot harm them. If there is any worldliness and sinfulness in us satan has a direct route into our lives; he can pick us off and destroy us, but if we are living in holiness he cannot harm us, we are hid in Christ therefore - 'Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on
earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory' (Colossians 3: 2 - 4). The question is, have you truly died to self and now live in holiness ready to be revealed with Him?
Spiritual lives are at risk because to ignore the call to holiness will lead to destruction and a great falling away. We must settle our sinful account with God and ready ourselves for what lies ahead. Jesus cannot cohabit with sinfulness and the Holy Spirit must have cleansed and holy
vessels to work with. Now is the time as Paul said to: ‘test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you – unless indeed you fail the test?’ (1 Corinthians 13: 5).
Each New Year brings great expectation. We look forward to accomplishing our dreams and goals, and we make plans for changing for the better. It is a time to look back and evaluate our past year, our trials, our victories, and we realign our plans to adapt to the circumstances at hand. Spiritually, we examine our growth and sanctification as compared to the character of Christ. Our faith is always on display, as our lives show the world the faith levels in which we walk in every area of life. As Christians, we take time to seek the Lord to direct our steps for the new year at hand, coming before Him and seeking mercy for missing the mark in challenging times. He is always encouraging, spurring us on to greater things and higher living. God gives us the vision of each new year as we seek His Counsel. He shows us certain things to come as milestones along the path to comfort us as we walk through the new season. Other things, He reveals slowly. Often He will lead us into unknown territory and prompt us out of our comfort zones or nudge us to step out and obey when we do not see the reason why initially, yet after the moment, we realize why He wanted us to do a specific
thing or be in a specific place. He knows how to lead us and we can all learn to follow! The season of 2016 brings many kinds of uncertainties, opportunities and challenges to Christians and to Americans. We are daily faced with onslaughts of difficulties that can only be navigated by the help of the Holy Spirit. When Jesus was preparing to leave after His resurrection, He promised to send the Holy Spirit to help us, teach us, counsel us and comfort us. John 14:26, John 16:13. Our connection with the Holy Spirit determines our trajectory during every season. For it is the Holy Spirit who receives the knowledge of the Will of the Father and in God’s Will there is always victory! Daily we can come before the Father and receive His instructions, what a beautiful privilege. Having this access to God’s Holy Spirit is the key to accomplishing His plan for our lives. He desires to lead us and when we humble ourselves to hear Him, to read His Word, and to worship Him with our whole heart, mind, soul, body and strength, He responds! When God begins to communicate His instructions with you, then you are called upon to release and exercise
your faith and obey what He has led you to do. Some of His instructions are not easy on the flesh and will REQUIRE you to draw upon the well of faith inside of your spirit. So to prepare to hear God’s instructions, we can build up ourselves on our most Holy faith by praying in the Spirit. Jude 20. When we pray in the Spirit, He gives us the utterance to pray in the Spirit. 1 Cor 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory… The hidden wisdom of God will be revealed to you as you pray in the Spirit and seek His direction in everything. He may speak to you about how to strengthen your health, how to reach a family member with Christ, how to
prosper your home and family, or how to reach the poor with the Gospel, and more. As you open your heart and mind to His Will, and seek to please Him, He gives you more and more assistance to manage every area of life. It helps me to think of it like this, the knowledge of God is like the internet, all knowledge is contained there, but to access it, you must have a browser like Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox, or Internet Explorer. This browser quickly accesses the precise information you desire by a complex algorithm based on a Boolean search string equation. You can only receive the information that contains the
search string items in it. For example: if you type in a query for ‘rainforest trees’ your browser will sift through millions of documents around the world and return the most accessed pages containing this specific information. The Holy Spirit is like God’s own browser, as you pray and seek God for wisdom, direction, understanding and help, the very words you pray are your search string and the Holy Spirit returns the exact knowledge you were seeking. As you make your decisions for the new year, rely on the wisdom of God to guide your every move and you will have the best year you have ever had! God knows the
beginning to the end. He knows how to circumvent potential problems and cause you to be blessed in every environment. He knows where He needs your particular skills and talents to bring about His ultimate plans. We are here to serve His goals, to accomplish His tasks, to build His Kingdom in our homes, cities, nations and the world. Many believers are seeing the importance of this season and are forsaking all to live and move in Him. If we truly are at the time of the end of all things, then let us give our everything for Him! Jesus is coming!

Are Your Lamps Full?

Let me see….get up at the same time every day; read my Bible, pray, walk in the morning air. Join the gym, lose those unwanted pounds (I sure had enough fun gathering those “unwanted” pounds to want to lose them so soon!). Spend more time with the family, get more interested in church activities. What else…..spend less….save more…oh the list is endless, isn’t it! January 1st is indeed a new day; the first day of a new year. Aside from black eyed peas, we always seem to want to celebrate the new day of the new year with a new resolution; except, it’s usually a repeat of some other year’s resolution. New thing. New day. How about this: along with that physical walking, let’s make a really deep commitment to walking out the deepest spiritual walk we’ve ever had with our Lord Jesus. Aside from the obvious (we ALWAYS need to walk even deeper with our Lord Jesus), think of this; all those other things we’re trying to do will actually stand a chance of succeeding because we’ll dedicate their success to His Glory. All that aside. I’m looking into 2016 with eyes I’ve never truly used before; with all that’s happening around us, and the rapidity with which current events seem to be lining up with Scripture, I believe the MOST important thing is that, more than ever before, we are ready. Lamps filled with oil, prayed up, read up, looking for every opportunity to either minister salvation to those around us or prayerfully and/or financially support our brothers and sisters out on the front lines as they do. It’s so exciting to hear from the many mission fields these days; Jesus dreams in the nation of Islam, multiple miracles, unprecedented crowds at evangelistic
meetings giving their heart to Jesus, Christians so strong in their faith they go through the unthinkable and stand strong. Heroes. People in the Family of God to look up to and emulate. Another new thing; really, REALLY participate in the elections. Let’s lose the complacency we’ve developed over the years. The most important elections in our history; fresh eyes from the Holy Spirit guiding us on voting even when there seems to be no valid choices. Be prayer warriors as never before; even if you’ve already been strong prayer warriors for years; step it up, the season calls for it desperately. Prayer is our most valuable and powerful weapon; join a prayer group, start a prayer group. Don’t be afraid.
