After graduating from San Pedro High School in California 1962, Rick McKnight made his living singing in night clubs in Southern California for 3 1/2 years. He married his boyhood sweetheart Bonnie Webb in 1964. On the verge of divorce (night club life!) with little or no hope for reconciliation, the Lord's mercy intervened (after much prayer on his part) and the two were reunited. In 1968 the young Rick and Bonnie and their first child Kara moved to Tulsa Okla. Rick calls it "Blind Guidance"! He was saved as a boy, but knew very little about the Lord. They were Southern Baptist at the time. In 1970 Rick attended a home bible study in Sand Springs, Ok where he received the Baptism in the Holy Ghost! Rick knew he was called to the ministry and he began preaching in 1970. A few months later they began attending some of Kenneth Hagin's meetings at Sheridan Road Assembly of God church. Rick, in a group called the H.I.S. trio, was invited to sing at a F.G.B.M.F.I. meeting with Bro. Kenneth E. Hagin being the Guest Speaker. (More blind Guidance!) Rick attended and graduated from RHEMA Bible training center in 1975. (The Charter Class) At that time the McKnight family (4 kids-Kara, Richard Jr., Tanya, and Johnny-Wayne) moved to Inola, Oklahoma. Rick went on the road as an Evangelist. (He was financially destitute!) Kenneth Hagin called him and asked him to sing and speak at Campmeeting in Tulsa. Things began to open up, doors began to open. (The yearly income quadrupled!) Rick's mission and vision was simple, and still is! Isaiah 61:1-3 pretty much tells it all. "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God, and to comfort all that mourn: To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the Spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified ." This has always been Rick’s vision and calling. He prays this before every meeting from the pulpit. Rick pioneered and pastored a church in Peterborough, Ontario Canada for 4 years. (Which is still growing and prospering) He is beginning his 45th year of full-time ministry. He gives God all the Glory for everything that has been done in his life and Ministry. www.rickmcknightministries.com
I wrote this book in response to many well-known Christian books I have read. I am sure the books were written with good intentions, as most Christian books are “These books I refer to have many excellent things to say, but good words when they do not measure up to God’s Word, may bring more harm than good to the Christian reader. I heard a preacher once say when we as Christians read a “Christian” book we should “Have as much sense as an old cow! Eat the hay, and throw out the sticks!” Many Christian authors have many good things to say, but some things that are said actually contradict God’s infallible Word! As you read this book, this author intends to back up what is said with the infallible, unchanging Word of God “Rightly dividing the Word of Truth.”
But Thou Shalt Remember the LORD Thy God
by: Rick McKnight
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. But how can God ask this of me?? It seems like all hell is breaking loose in my life! I feel like crawling in bed and pulling the covers over my head! My political party is not in power, and even when they are, they seem to be as bad as the others! (I have to agree on that comment!) Or you may say “My wife (or husband) is leaving me, my kids are not living for God, I have just lost my job, my dog Old Blue just got run over, I have no food in the pantry…..On and on we could go! What am I going to do? Apply for food stamps, call President Obama, beg on the street corner? Become an organ grinder and get a monkey? No! With a capital NOOOOO! I do not write this with any animosity towards anyone, but in sincerity, and in hope that it will help! What can I do?? Deuteronomy 8:18: 18But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
Normally when this passage is written or spoken about, the latter part is our focus! And that is a terrific word alright! But for the most part I want our focus to be on the first line! But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God……….. In the first place it does not matter which political party is in the majority, without a return, and an Awakening to our Almighty God, it will make very little difference! A promise is easy to make, whether ever intended to be fulfilled or not, as we have all seen lately! Let me say here that I am very right wing conservative Christian man, but even the tea party will mess it up if they don’t stick to their godly principles! Now about the other problems you may be facing! Don’t forget your God! Some of these problems mentioned above are serious problems! When you are facing the most stressful, and difficult problems they were basically sent to make you forget about God, and His Word! What will you do? Turn it over to God or try to fix it yourself! The worst thing you can do is …forget about God!
Don’t forget where He has brought you from, or what He’s brought you through! Make a list of answered prayers and the many things you have been blessed with! He can do it again! Let us look at a few “for instances” in the Bible! Habakkuk 3:17-18: 17Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: 18Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. This person is in trouble! What is his/her reaction? He remembers the Lord His God!
He /she begins to rejoice even though it seems his world is falling apart! Now! Let me say right here that it takes faith, and courage in God to rejoice in these circumstance! You can only get faith and courage like that from Gods written word! What brings this joy in the time of stress? God cannot lie!! Hebrews 13:5-6: 5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. May I say right here, Yes! Be content with such things as you have, but its alright to believe
God for more too! The Lord is your Helper! You can say that boldly because He said it! We have many such stories in God’s Word! Daniel remembered His God as he faced the lions in the den! The three Hebrew children remembered their God as they faced the fiery furnace with courage! David faced Goliath as he remembered His God who had delivered him from a lion and a bear! Remember this! All things are possible with God! All things are possible to him that believes!! Philippians 4: 4-Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful (anxious, or worried) for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. REMEMBER GOD! PRAY! WATCH YOUR THOUGHT LIFE! THEN REJOICE! Obey these things and rejoice!! Before the answer comes!

Matthew 23:39 says, “For I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’” In the latter part of Matthew 23, Jesus speaks a very strong word to the nation of Israel as He weeps or grieves over Jerusalem. And it is important to know that God loves His people. But after the cross, those known as the people of God began to expand and even now, not only the nation of Israel are the people of God, but also other nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues have become God’s people by accepting the covering and washing of the shed blood of Jesus. Galatians 3:26-29 says, 26 “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” What a powerful promise and guarantee that anyone who comes to Jesus and receives Him as their Savior, immediately becomes a member of the family of God. As Jesus speaks to Jerusalem here, it is important to know
that this passage is not only about the famous words, “Jesus wept,” but He weeps because of an age old problem. He weeps over Israel because of their rejection of Him as their Messiah, who has come to save His people and the world from their sins. And they rejected the Message and Messengers who were sent by Jesus. In Matthew 23:37-39 Jesus names Jerusalem as the ones who “37 kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her!” And He says, “How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! 38 See! Your house is left to you desolate {in a wilderness, lost and alone}, 39 for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD.’” In Psalm 118:26 David says something similar by saying, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD! We have blessed you from the house of the LORD.” Yet as in Matthew’s gospel, they had rejected the gospel and its message that was sent by
Him. And in our day and time, we have all seen this same type of rejection in many lives, in our governments and even by other religions of the world. For example, to say no to Jesus and worship an idol, is rejection. And it is really hard to have a relationship with an idol. It is a one way or one sided relationship, because a true relationship requires two living beings. The One, living Christ, and you. Today when ministers preach God’s Word, as one who is sent by God, and sent with a message, they declare the Word of the Lord. But when it is all said and done, and we find that both the Message and the Messenger had been rejected, this would be a type of the moment when Jesus began to grieve over Jerusalem. Therefore, it is no wonder that Jesus wept.
Only Jesus came and gave His life as a supreme sacrifice, making a way for all people everywhere to enter into everlasting life. And when the Lord Jesus returns, He is coming after “a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,” (Revelation 7:9). Jesus is returning for those who have entered into a relationship with Him. Now the Bible says in Philippians 2:10-11, “10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Even though this is a truth from God’s Word,
someone may choose to reject the message or the writer delivering it. But that will not change God’s Word. One day, at a time when it will be too late, everyone will bow their knee to Jesus and admit that He is Lord. The Bible says those in heaven, those on earth and those under the earth. Here is a case where EVERY means every. All will bow to Jesus; of nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues. So, in Matthew 23 when Jesus said 37 “for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say {tell or speak} ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD,’” From the VOICE translation (V.38) Jesus says, “Surely you can see that God has already removed His blessing from the house of Israel.” Now, although preachers are not perfect; when the message is preached correctly, and both the Message
and Messenger are rejected, it is usually because someone does not want to hear what GOD HAS TO SAY to them. Matthew 23:39 (NLT) translates Jesus to have said, “For I tell you this, you will never see me again until you say, ‘Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the LORD!” Jesus wept because the word sent about Him, to His own people was rejected. They did not receive the message of John the Baptist, and they did not receive the words about the arrival of the Messiah. In our culture, messengers come in many forms; but be sure to listen for a word from the Lord when it is preached. When ministers come in the Name of the Lord, receive them as sent by God and bless them by listening. …Think about it!

With God All Things Are Possible by: Briana Bishop
There I was sitting at the dentist's office a few years ago waiting to get back the results of the xray of my wisdom teeth. The dentist carefully looked at the x-ray and told me," Your wisdom teeth are too big for your mouth and you are going to have to get them extracted because if you don't they will cause you some serious problems." I was bummed, of course because who wants oral surgery? Am I right? Totally NOT fun! The dentist then gave me the name of an oral surgeon who had actually taken out his own wisdom teeth. I thought about what the dentist had said, and I decided that I wasn't going to have to get them removed! I know, I sound crazy, but hear me out. I decided to walk in faith and believe that I wouldn't have to get them removed, which meant that my wisdom teeth would have to shrink, which obviously isn't humanly possible. As a Christian, any kind of problem with anything in my body does NOT belong, whether it be in my teeth or something else. The NIV of 1 Peter 2:24 says, “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” Whatever Jesus took on the cross, I don't have to take, and as you can see sickness is one of them. Having problems with my wisdom teeth falls into that category. As I kept going back to the dentist for my cleanings the dentist would continue to x-ray and tell me that they were too big and that I needed to stop putting off going to the oral surgeon. Honestly, every time he told me that they were too big, it would have been easier to just go with the flow and accept that I would have to get them extracted, but I'm glad I didn't quit believing. My bottom wisdom teeth came in first, and a few months ago my top ones started coming in. When I told my dentist they were coming in, he sounded understandably irritated, he then took a look at them and gave them an xray. He told me that I had just enough room for them! He couldn't believe how straight they were coming in either. He told me that I get to have
four extra teeth in my mouth! Praise God! Don't get me wrong, I'm all for doctors, but this is where my faith was strong in the situation. I followed up with the dentist because that is important. I also went to another dentist this week because we moved and she just confirmed that my wisdom teeth are in fact doing wonderful and don't need to be extracted. They have before and after x-rays to prove that this occurred. Anything that is not humanly possible, is not impossible for God. Nothing is too big or too small for God. The NIV of Matthew 19:26 says, "Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Remember that! If I would have quit believing and went by what I saw on the x-ray, this miracle would have never happened. When things look a certain way, you don't go by the way you feel or what you see. You go by what the Bible says and you must stay in faith. The miracle done on my wisdom teeth was done before I saw it with my eyes. What I mean by that is that when Jesus died for me, He purchased my healing. He completed it right then and there, 2,000 years ago on that cross. If you remember that whatever you are believing for (big or small) has already been purchased through Jesus when He died on the cross and stay in faith, it WILL happen. The NIV of Matthew 21:21 says, “Jesus replied "Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go throw yourself into the sea.' and it will happen."

Let us hunger For God
by: Nick Schneider
A hunger for God is the longing to encounter Him, to be like Him and to be filled with His precious Holy Spirit. When we are hungry for God, we seek his presence and we will do whatever it takes to get close to Him. We will seek that place of spiritual intimacy that place where will catch not only the revelation he wants to share with us, but we also will catch the heart of God. When we are hungry for God we will make the time, take the time, and spend the time to quench that hunger. In Jeremiah 15:16 we read, "Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O LORD, God of hosts." Jeremiah 29:13 states, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Many of us want to be filled with the Spirit, we long to be close to God and see miracles happen in people’s lives. When we hunger and thirst for God, we will seek Him, and when we seek Him, we will be filled and empowered. Nothing else will satisfy that hunger other than God's presence.
Author T.M. Moore writes, "Jeremiah’s is the heart cry of every person in whom the Spirit of God has come to dwell. The first and most essential evidence that the Spirit of God dwells in us is an insatiable hunger for the Word of God. We can know that we have the Spirit if we experience a growing desire to know and obey the Holy Scriptures of God."
We need to fast for it. We need to pray for it.
Hunger for God is a real problem in many churches. Many Christians spend years listening to sermons, reading scripture, and teaching Sunday school classes, but they fail to enjoy an intimate relationship with God. They could easily pass any theological exam or answer any Bible trivia question. But they don’t possess a real hunger and thirst to know God personally, to be filled with His presence, or to be changed into his likeness. No wonder religion often becomes empty. There is famine without hunger and dryness without thirst for God. It's time for The Church to move to the spiritual table of God and create an aching, gnawing hunger in our hearts for God. We must long to be Christ-like in our daily lives.
We need to read the Bible for it. We need to study books, listen to messages and praise for it. We need to do what we can do to stir up the desire within ourselves to do more to get in touch with the precious nourishment provided by the Holy Spirit. Spiritual hunger is contagious. Get around hungry people and it will spread and the church will grow to serve others and impact our community. When we get hungry for God, good things happen. “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” as it says in Psalm 34:8. When we pray for spiritual hunger, we are praying in accordance with God’s will.
God wants us to be hungry for Him. It is a prayer God loves to answer. God gives his people differing gifts, and none of us can do everything, but in some way all Christians are called to be witnesses and to love our neighbors in practical ways.
Jesus declared for us to feed the hungry, welcome the stranger into our fellowships, clothe the naked, care and pray for the sick and visit the prisoners. It is not a matter of church following a commission or compassion, but a church operating on a commission of compassion.
We need to just quit going to church out of ritual and start doing the church's work for which we are called to do. If we have a hunger for God, that will happen.

Remember the Lord your God (Deuteronomy 8: 18)
by: Leon Gosiewski
The busy, hustle and bustle of life’s demands on our time can, if we allow them room, swarm over us like bees around a honey-pot. Once this happens the stings of trying to pull away from these worldly constraints and satan’s enticements tugging us away from God mean that without faithful determination, dedication and commitment we are no longer free to access the soothing sweetness of our relationship with Him. The tragic truth is that many of us are living lives centered on snatching a few token minutes spent alone with God whilst others completely forget Him for days on end; a habit that begins a downward spiral which slowly but surely drift into weeks on end or worse still eventually time with Him stops. When we are suddenly confronted with comments of prioritizing the life we are leading our worldly egoistic reaction of challenged unease and even defensive anger ravage anyone close by. Our worldly thinking produces one justification after another as they begin to play out their story of defensive excuses to explain why God has been given a low priority or even forgotten. Just as relationships that lack love, appreciation and quality time together break down so
this is what happens when we fall out of love and abuse our contact and interaction with God. The eighth chapter of Deuteronomy is about keeping our relationship with God alive. It is not just a reminder but an insightful loving command not to forget Him. I called this an insightful loving command because human nature is shockingly adept at taking for granted the good that is quietly and lovingly being done for us and this attitude of mind seems even more prevalent when it comes to what God does for us. When times are good we find ample opportunity to do such things as watch television, go out and enjoy pleasure activities and do the things we want. God is ‘locked away’ and placed out of sight until the Sunday social gathering of church. But when times get hard, what do we do? We either suddenly remember God by pleading with Him or we begin to moan and even blame Him for our hardships. Yes, it is true there are dark and difficult times that face everyone but God never abandons us, He walks with us even if we go through the
valley of deep darkness (see Psalm 23: 4). But, you may ask ‘why the difficult times?’ Take a look at verse two and three of Deuteronomy chapter eight. The difficult times humble and test us, and so we read that they are there to, ‘know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not’ (v2). It is also a means of helping us to live uprightly and, ‘by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord’ (v3) so that we are ready for the good land that God has arranged for us. The fact is, when we are left to our own devices we easily fall into satan’s grip of anarchy, self-praise and idol worship. We think we have achieved success by our own good work and we do not need God. God knows our weakness that is why He calls us to remember Him. It is when we remember God that we humbly receive
directly from Him the power of His perfect promise of victory, freedom and life. Those that forget God and rely upon themselves are starkly warned in Deuteronomy 8: 19, ‘if you by any means forget the Lord your God, and follow other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish’. This loving warning is similar to the way we discipline our children because we want the best for them. God must occasionally chide us and keep us on the right track so remember these words, ‘blessed is the one whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty’ (Job 5: 17 see also Acts 17: 11). In Exodus 33: 11 we read that, ‘the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend’. Instead of hiding away in a fearful attempt to cover our wrongdoings and avoid
discipline let us willingly and humbly look into the Lord’s eyes and seek His cleansing and holiness. Let us daily and obediently walk as He leads. The fact is we can always find time to do those things we really want. Just as we can feel ‘homesickness’ in our separation from those we love it is natural for a Christian to hunger and thirst after God! It is all about what our heart desires. We have good role-models in what Jesus did by taking Himself away from the demands and pressures of the crowds to spend time with His Father (see Mark 1: 35) and the Psalmist who said, ‘I rise before the dawning of the morning, and cry for help; I hope in Your word’ (Psalm 119: 147ff). We can also learn from Moses.
Moses was busy with the pressures placed upon him as a leader but he knew that time with God was a necessary part of his life. In Exodus 33: 7 we read, ‘Moses took his tent and pitched it outside the camp, far from the camp, and called it the tabernacle of meeting. And it came to pass that everyone who sought the Lord went out to the tabernacle of meeting which was outside the camp’. Moses drew himself away from the pressures of his life and encouraged others to do the same. He made time for God. He knew just as Jesus knew that he could do nothing without God and nothing was impossible with Him. Just as Jesus, the Psalmist and Moses put God first in their busy schedule we should lovingly and sacrificially set aside a daily time and place of meeting to remember God?
I got up one morning and rushed right into the day; I had so much to accomplish that I didn’t have time to pray. Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task. ‘Why doesn’t God help me?’ I wondered. He answered, ‘You didn’t ask’. I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, grey and bleak, I wondered why God didn’t show me. He said, ‘But you didn’t seek’. I tried to come into God’s presence; I used all my keys at the lock. God gently and lovingly chided, ‘My child, you didn’t knock’. I woke up early this morning, and paused before entering the day, I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray. (Author unknown)

Remembering the Person of Christ
by: Dan Corse
Christ, shortly before His crucifixion, took bread, broke it, gave it to His disciples to eat and stated, “Do this in remembrance of me” (1 Cor. 11:24). Then He gave them a cup to drink from and told them, “This cup is the new covenant of My blood, “This do as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me” (1 Cor. 11:25). By doing so Christ instituted the ordinance we know today as “The Lord’s Supper” or “Communion,” a practice still common to Christians throughout the world. And, when participating in Communion, we should also heed His admonition to do so “in remembrance of Me.” By speaking of remembrance Christ was not merely instructing us to memorialize this event but reminding us when participating in it to recall or recollect His very person. Recalling the person of Christ, our minds are flooded with a myriad of thoughts, not the least of which is Christ’s example of total submission to the Father. Recalling Christ’s perfect submission, we should ask ourselves, “How submitted am I to the will of God? How submitted am I
to the Lordship of Christ?” Asking ourselves such questions may not prove a comfortable proposition. Yet to ask them honestly with the intent of recognizing where we are not submitted that we might mature as Christians exists as a grand reason to do so. Asking probing questions of ourselves, not in a condemning manner but as a healthy catalyst for growth, is an integral part of Christian maturation. By doing so we allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to us areas of potential growth. And growth speaks of being more like Christ, of being holy for He is holy (1 Pet. 1:16), not in some Pharisaical manner that desires to look down its nose at those it deems less holy, which is not holiness at all, but in a manner that reveals we long to imitate Christ, to emulate Him with our words and deeds (Eph. 5:1). A desire to emulate or imitate Christ with our words and deeds speaks of a desire to acknowledge His lordship, just as He
acknowledged the Father’s lordship during His incarnation. And, speaking of acknowledging His lordship, we are not to do in a manner that is all about appearance rather than substance. Speaking of His lordship for the sake of appearance alone, we are often tempted to behave like chameleons, changing colors to adapt to the prevailing winds of our culture, whatever those winds might be. Speaking of the lordship of Christ with sincerity or substance, we desire is to please Him, even if that means forgoing the accolades of the culture in which we live. Not desiring to receive the accolades of our culture, we choose to stand for His ways even when those ways are not popular. We do not stick our fingers in the wind to decide which way it is blowing that we might go
with the flow. Rather, recognizing God’s displeasure at the shedding of innocent blood (Jer. 7:6), we stand against the winds that embrace the taking innocent lives in the name of choice. We do this even when those winds howl that we do not care about “women’s rights,” when the reality is that we care about the God-given right to life of all people, regardless of age or gender. And we stand with women, who recognizing their errant choices related to abortion, now seek God’s forgiveness
and reconciliation, sometimes in the face of howling legalists who are more about vengeance than loving forgiveness. Desiring to stand for His ways and remembering the person of Christ, we recollect His ongoing confrontations with the hypocrisy of the Pharisees, the biblically errant religion of the Sadducees and the politically motivated Herodians. We remember that His focus was always to do the will of the Father, whether the crowds or his
followers were supportive or combative. And, so, as we recall the person of Christ, may that remembrance result in our becoming ever more like Him, loving as He did, forgiving as He did, standing boldly and unpretentiously as He did, being godly agents of change in a culture that in so many ways has succumbed to ideologies, manners of thinking and practices contradictory to His ways and will.

REVIVAL ON OUR DOORSTEP™ Turn On Your Light and Be A Light!™ TODAY, MANY CHILDREN know more about magic, ninjas, wizards, zombies, superheroes and witchcraft than they know about God’s love, God’s Word or the supernatural saving and healing power of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. IT IS TIME to raise up this "end time" generation of children born to know, love and follow Jesus! The spiritual desire and ability of children to receive Jesus is amazing. Jesus actually said adults must "become like little children trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving," or "you can never enter the Kingdom of Heaven at all." Matthew 18:3 YOU MAY BE ONE of the 84% of all adults over 45 years of age or one of millions of younger adults in over 90 million U.S. households planning to greet children with candy on the evening of October 31st. OVER 68 million children and 22 million parents will come to our doorsteps for candy … that is 93% of all children ages one through 17. Since a child will often visit 20-40 doorsteps that night, they will most likely walk up to a Christian doorstep like yours! We can share Jesus with them. When Jesus saw His followers trying to stop families from bringing their children to Him, He was indignant and pained and instructed His disciples, “Allow the children to come to Me, do not forbid or prevent or hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” Mark 10:14 MY WIFE AND I made the decision that our heart’s focus would be sharing JESUS, not just candy, and we would lead children to receive Jesus in their hearts! Last year on Halloween evening, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm we had a Revival On Our Doorstep! ™ We prayed with 58 children and 21 youth and adults to receive JESUS CHRIST in their hearts! We also gave them a Gospel tract and good candy! It was so heartwarming to see the children and parents smiling and even crying as the Lord touched them at our doorstep as we prayed with them. One mother asked us to pray for her 10-year-old son who was at home very sick. This mom cried big tears as we prayed for her son and sweetly said, “Thank you for caring enough to pray.” As we watched her tears, we were reminded of what Jesus said, “Whoever in My name and for My sake accepts and receives and welcomes one such child also accepts and receives and welcomes Me and whoever so receives Me, receives not only Me, but also Him who sent Me.” Mark 9:37
IT IS TIME FOR CHRISTIANS to turn around the unholy secular holiday of Halloween and transform it into a Holy soul-winning revival for JESUS on our doorsteps! So, Turn On Your Light and Be A Light ™ and have Revival On Your Doorstep!™ THIS IS THE ONLY NATIONAL EVENT and night of the year when many children and adults voluntarily walk up to our doorsteps, under the covering of our Christian prayers and on our blessed property, ready to receive Jesus! We are Jesus’ representatives. We have every constitutional right to share Jesus on our own property! Paul said, “I have in short become all things to all men, that I might by all “MEANS” (Greek--“events”), at all costs and in any and every way, save some by winning them to faith in JESUS CHRIST.” I Corinthians 9:22 WHEN OVER 68 MILLION CHILDREN and 22 million parents who go out with them walk up to our doorsteps for candy that evening, we have a great opportunity to accept, receive and welcome children and adults in Jesus’ Name! PRAYING with children to receive Jesus on our doorsteps is such a joy. Children are so ready to receive Jesus! The children’s eagerness to pray would often influence their parents to join in with their prayers! TOGETHER WE WILL WIN the hearts of millions of children and parents to Jesus on our doorsteps! We have put together a free Home Harvest Packet to email to Christian homes. If you would like a free Home Harvest Packet, just email us at: revival@bsmin.org The packet will give you the gentle, loving and enthusiastic method we used to pray with children and parents, which may be used anytime of the year. Also, the free packet will have some common sense guidelines developed over the last six years to help make it easy and fun for you to invite children and adults to church, give them Gospel tracts and share Jesus with them on your doorstep. AGREE WITH MY WIFE and I in prayer that millions of Christian homes will lead millions of children to receive, love and follow JESUS! Please pray for this exciting new annual national event called: Revival On Our Doorstep!™ Turn On Your Light and Be A Light!™ IT IS TIME FOR Christians to turn around the unholy secular holiday of Halloween and transform it into a Holy soulwinning revival for JESUS on our doorsteps! IF YOU WOULD LIKE your free Home Harvest Packet or if you would like to help coordinate this national event in your area or at your church please email us: revival@bsmin.org WE LOVE YOU! Never Forget! by: PastorKim Miller
When we have been believing the Lord for something and time has passed by, the devil would love for us to become discouraged. We cannot allow him to succeed at this! Our Father, God longs for us to walk in victory and to have His promises and covenant manifested in our lives. The devil will try anything he can to steal, kill, and destroy from us. We read this in John 10:10. We can't take his attacks personally, but we must know that he is after the plan of God for our lives and the word of God that we should be sowing into our hearts. The Bible tells us to "take courage." When discouragement tries to set in, we must decide that we are going to TAKE courage. We cannot allow self-pity into our lives. We cannot afford to! We have too much to do for the Lord! There are many lives needing to be touched and He has sent you and I to do that! We are equipped to make a difference. Discouragement and self-pity will distract us from being all that the Lord desires us to be. One of the ways that we take courage and defeat discouragement is to give attention to God's word. Proverbs 4:20-21 asys, “My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight; keep them within your heart.”
We must have fresh revelation from God's word daily. We must never forget what His word has to say about the things that we face in life. We cannot allow the voice of our circumstances to become louder than the voice of God's word. His word must have first place in our lives. Along with staying in God's word daily, we must live it. We won't ever be able to defeat the enemy of His word if we aren't doers of His word. Deuteronomy 8:11 says that we should not forget the Lord by failing to obey His commands. Many people want the Lord's hand in their lives, but they truly haven't committed their lives to Him. The Bible says that the DOER of God's word is blessed! We also cannot forget the goodness of the Lord or His great love for us. It would do us all good, if we spent more time thinking about how much God loves us! The Bible says that even when we were still sinners, Jesus died for us. Now we are His children. He is a loving Father. If you have children, think about how much you love them and want good for them. I've heard people say that "there is nothing like a mother's love,”or“ the greatest love there is, is the love a parent
has for their child." The Bible says that there is no greater love than the Lord's. He wants good for you more than you want it for yourself. We must be sure to keep our focus on the word of God and the love that the Lord has for us. Difficult times are not the times that we should shrink back. During those times we must stay diligent in the things of God and continue to be doers of His word. He is the Faithful God, and it is impossible for Him to lie. He watches over His word to perform it, and it accomplishes all it is sent out to do. Don't hang your head down in discouragement, but send out His word into your life and He will perform it! Never forget His goodness. He said you are "more than a conqueror," not the conquered. Never forget His word, goodness, and the love He has for you! You cannot be defeated! Do not quit!

The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10
Remember the Lord Your God
by: Kathy Weddle
To remember is to: 1. Recall to the mind by an act or effort of memory; think of again: 2. To retain in the memory; keep in mind; remain aware of: 3. To have (something) come into the mind again As I began searching for verses with some derivation of these words in them, I discovered there aren’t as many instances of them as you might think! There are similar phrases but I was surprised to find the 1st reference is Deut 8:18. The first time I ever heard Deut 8:18, was from a prosperity teacher our pastor brought in. I was skeptical about him at first; He turned out to have the best teaching on prosperity I’ve ever heard and the reason for that is he put prosperity in the correct context from the moment he stepped into the pulpit. “You must remember the LORD your God, for he is the one who gives ability to get wealth; if you do this he will confirm his covenant that he made by oath to your ancestors, even as he has to this day.” In other words, God does want us prosperous, because furthering His Kingdom costs money and He expects us to give into His Kingdom!. I don’t believe it’s because He “needs” the money, either. His whole point in this passage is to “remember” Him! To “recall to the mind….again….by and act or effort. The act of giving. An act of worship! Isn’t that awesome! The next passage is a bit different, from Ecclesiastes 12:1, “Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say, “I have no pleasure in them”” NKJV The word “remember” implies a repetitive action. The writer of Ecclesiastes encourages us to establish ourselves in our relationship with the
Father while we’re still young. Statistically, the younger the person, the greater the chance of becoming a Christian; as a person grows older, they are less inclined to trust a Savior. Children’s evangelistic ministries are based on this premise. Although not mentioned in so many words, we are encouraged by Scripture to put ourselves in remembrance of His great blessings; to honor and worship Him in and through all circumstances; We are reminded to “put on the whole armor of God” in order to be effective in battle. We are reminded to give unto the Lord; under whatever doctrine you prescribe; but “remember” the Lord in your giving. Remember the Lord in your attitudes and behavior, in the way you treat your family of blood and the Body of Christ. Remember the great gift of salvation we received of Jesus when we partake of Communion. Remember the Lord. In all ways, remember Him. For He remembered you.
Why Does The Lord Want Us To Remember Him?
by: Rev. Melissa Shepherd
Why did God tell the children of Israel to remember Him? We know that God does not say or command things haphazardly, and He always has a specific reason for the commands that He gives and the instructions for His people. In the King James Scriptures there are 146 scriptures on the subject of remembrance, and of those, 26 focus on remembering God’s acts or help. There are references to make altars and memorials in places where God’s miraculous power intervened on behalf of His beloved children. Even the Feasts and Holy Days are centered upon remembering God and His hand of creation, giving of His righteous edicts, and pouring out His Holy Spirit, and His ability to provide and protect those who trust in Him. Every week in synagogues and churches, Scriptures are read that bring remembrance to all of the wondrous works of God and of His great love for His people. Christian music is written to glorify and remind us of God’s greatness, His Holiness, and of His closeness to His people. As we study the Bible and discuss His promises, again we are brought in remembrance of His goodness and kindness toward those that love Him. There are many examples of remembrances in the Scriptures that are what happens when people forsake Him and His Word, and how
destruction came to those who openly rejected a life of fellowship and union with Him, or ridiculed Him and His people. Even these types of scriptures shows of His commitment to His promises in His Word to bless those who honor Him and that destruction will inevitably come to those who do not honor Him, His Word, or receive the sacrifice of His Son. When we remember God, we remember His love for us, His kindness, how He has answered our prayers, healed us and guided us. We think of His promises to us and about His plan for our lives. We think of His great gift and sacrifice of His dear Son Jesus. Everything God tells us to do is ultimately because He loves us and wants us to be blessed! He spared not His own Son for us to know of His great love and kindness toward us! When we take communion and receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ we are honoring Jesus, God the Father and the great miracle of salvation! Jesus said, “Do this in remembrance of Me.” This act of remembrance shows and reminds us of His great sacrifice that gives us fellowship and restored communion with our Heavenly Father! In the New Covenant, the Holy
Spirit was poured out upon all believers and has been tasked with teaching us, helping us, guiding us, comforting us, and bringing all things to our remembrance that Jesus said and that Jesus and God have done for us! Remembrance is such an important part of our relationship with Him that God made that part of the Holy Spirit’s ministry to us. John 14:26 There have been countless times in my own life that the Holy Spirit has reminded me of a scripture or a promise in the Word, of a song that glorifies God, of how God was with me through some dark and perilous days, of the miracles and healings my lovely Lord has given to me and my family and friends, of how many of His promises have come to pass and of the things to come that are written about in the Scriptures. Whenever the Holy Spirit ministers to me like this, I am reminded that everything that
God has said and prophesied will come to pass, that God is for me and desires great blessing in my life, and that He has never left me nor forsaken me and He never will! I believe God commanded His people to remember as a protection for their hearts and minds, so that the enemies of our soul and spirit are not able to gain an advantage over us in this world because every day in
this world there are so many people trying to rob us of our faith in God. When we remember our Lord God, we stir up our faith in Him! When the pressures of life begin to burden us we are reminded that He hears us, helps us, and desires for us to have victory over all the works of darkness in the world! It was a thoughtful and empowering gift that God gave to us when
He commanded remember Him!
us
to
The entire Bible is a book of remembrance to the Lord our God and when we read it, hear it, sing it, meditate on it or speak it, we are filled with faith in God! The Word and Spirit agree, both bring us into remembrance of just how great is our God, and how great is His love toward us!
If you are traveling and in the area of any of these ministries, feel free to drop in and worship God with them. If they do not have a church, you might want to have them preach or use their services and be a blessing to them.

REMEMBER THE LORD YOUR GOD
by: Chef Leo Griego
Happy Autumn! When I heard of the topic for this issue was “Remember the LORD your God”, I was very pleased and excited as it is at the forefront of all our devotions...lest we forget...It was also important to the Lord Jesus.. as when He did what He did in sending the Holy Spirit...and while explaining that to His disciples (and us by the way) In John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything that I have told you.” (ISV). At this time of the year we are reminded of one thing for sure ….Back to School time! Much of the time we also have to go “Back to School”. In our journey with the Lord and in seeking His Kingdom, His Knowledge, His Wisdom, and His Presence we sometimes have to start at the beginning, and start remembering... Proverbs 1:7 says “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (KJV) The Bible says in Deuteronomy 8:18, “Remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth” (NIV). So it makes sense that God wants us to be productive...sharing the wealth and abundance of God from
the beginning... to be “fruitful.” So why “Remember?” well Sisters and Brothers it is simply because we forgot...Many events in the Bible I believe are there to “Remind” us of God’s plan and days are set aside to “Remember.” He knew we are forgetful, and even unorganized or uncaring or all three! So He made a way...and even in the reconciliation of the world through Jesus' magnificent victory over sin, death and the enemy God sent a Helper! A memory helper so if we have the Lord in our hearts we also have the Helper...there so simply listen and take heed of what the Spirit would have us remember. I am also reminded...that we pray to God as is done in the Psalms imploring the Lord to not “Forget” us...in Mark 4:26 “Then Jesus said, “God’s kingdom is like seed thrown on a field by a man who then goes to bed and forgets about it. The seed sprouts and grows—he has no idea how it happens.” So no matter what we forget God's plan for that seed goes on…. We also are encouraged in Psalm 103:12 that God forgets our sin, “He has removed our
sins as far away from us as the east is from the west.” (TLB) Funny as we go to school to learn to remember or retain or receive knowledge or struggle is always not so much as to remember but as to NOT forget! Either way He sent us a Helper...the Paraclete, the Holy Ghost! The third person in the trinity is important as Father is, as Son is...they are one. Now they are one together, they are one for each other, they are one in and for us… So if anyone ever says you have a memory problem just say… “Forget about it!” I may have a reception problem like a bad TV...But I have help with my memory! Rock and Roll this Autumn!

Dr. Larry Ollison’s book, The Power of Grace, has given the reader a clear understanding of what Grace really is. Grace is not only Salvation for the sinner and forgiveness for the Christian, but also guidance for our daily lives. Grace is presented with Old and New Testament backup from the writings of the prophets and the words of Jesus and the apostles. Instead of teaching that grace is a license to sin, Dr. Ollison has presented grace as the power to save us from sin and to keep us from sinning.
