INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 22 new; 35 closed. Projects: Continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the New City Hall building; working on new Police RMS system (continued); working on new Basecamp system; camera upgrade at Police Department; work flow processing for new utility customers. Meetings: International City/County Management Association Leadership Training; security meeting in Atlanta; BSA handover and training; Finance Department utility customer work flow.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Continued preparations with Fayette County Development Authority for upcoming retail consultant visit; reviewed playground options for New City Center Park. Main Street: Continued preparing for 2020 Concert Series; hosted annual Main Street Fayetteville strategic planning meeting and welcomed two new board members; met with team to discuss Suds on the Square partnership; held Promotions Committee meeting to plan 2020 event schedule; participated in Main Street webinar on driving economic development through events; prepared for new way-finding sign installations. Downtown Development Authority: Held Holliday Dorsey Fife Museum Advisory Board 2020 planning meeting.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY Community Engagement: C.A.R.E. Unit spoke with law enforcement class at Whitewater High School on the use of force and de-escalation; C.A.R.E. Unit conducted High School Police Academy recruitment event at Whitewater High School. Training: Two officers continued in the Field Training program; one officer is in the Georgia Public Safety Training Center Police Academy; one officer is waiting to take the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council Equivalency of Training; numerous other officers received training in the week.
Our department issued a press release revealing the results of the December crime suppression operation in the City’s shopping districts.
FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events: Participated in the 1/20 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Parade. Projects: Continued working on implementation of Lexipol policies; Chief Alan Jones attended the monthly progress meeting on the Whitewater Creek Water Pollution Control Plant upgrade; Chief Jones and Division Chief Keith Harris attended the Hazard Mitigation Planning meeting.

PUBLIC SERVICES CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall, Police Department and Public Services building; trash run; collected leaves at Southern Ground Amphitheater; city-wide creek crossing inspections; replaced wheel on park equipment; met with contractor about Woodgate sink hole. Sewer: Average daily flow treated is 2.653 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift stations sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. Water: Average daily flow of 1.241 million gallons of system demand; repaired six water leaks; performed eight water meter maintenance; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements. HUMAN RESOURCES NELLA COOPER Personnel: We are continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany. Continuing with Roles setup and goals alignment with job roles. The initial training was scheduled for Monday, January 27. Turn Over Report: There were no employees hired or terminated during the week of January 20, 2020.
