CITY LEADERS FIND NEW WAYS TO ENGAGE The Fayetteville City Council has continued their constituent engagement and official meeting duties during the coronavirus pandemic, but they are doing these things in different ways now. City Council meetings continue to be broadcasted on Facebook LIVE, but now the Council members meet remotely through Internet teleconferencing. Members of the public are invited to join the meetings, which are announced on the City’s website and social media channels. 3/30

Continued to work on Emergency Ordinance 0-5-20

Participated in several teleconference meetings to get prepared for the 4/1 called City Council meeting

Participated in the monthly Owner, Architect, Contractor (OAC) meeting via teleconference

Participated in a webinar put on by Retail Strategies that outlined the Coronavirus Federal Stimulus Package

Drove throughout the City checking on businesses and providing information regarding Emergency Ordinance 0-5-20

Participated in the called City Council teleconference to discuss Emergency Ordinance 0-5-20 that repealed Emergency Ordinance 0-4-20 in its entirety

Responded to numerous e-mails and phone calls regarding Emergency Ordinance 0-520 and the Governor’s Shelter in Place Executive Order

Worked on the New City Hall & City Center Park project by reviewing internal and external signage

Researched and reviewed information regarding COVID-19 and its economic impacts on small businesses

Updated the City Council daily on information provided by the Georgia Department of Health

Drove throughout the City to ensure compliance with the Governor’s Shelter in Place Executive Order
