The Pastor Search Committee of FBC Fairhope is pleased to introduce to you our prospective pastor this weekend. As we mentioned in our October 9th announcement, please note the schedule of events below for this important week in our church.

Wednesday, October 19th (Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting) 6:15 – 7:30 p.m. | Fellowship Hall The Pastor Search Committee invites all church members to join us as we share how we feel the Lord led us during our search for a pastor. During this meeting, we will: (1) Give you a glimpse of the Pastor Search Committee process from start to finish.

(2) Describe our prospective pastor—in terms of his ministerial experience, education, leadership style, personality, and family.

(3) Field questions that you may have about the candidate and our search.

(4) To pray for BOTH congregations involved in this process.

Saturday, October 22nd 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. | Social Hall (Deacons Breakfast) If you are currently serving as an ordained deacon, or have in the past, we invite you to a breakfast with our prospective Pastor in the Social Hall. This will be an informal time of introduction and a time to get to know him on a more personal level.

3:30 – 5:30 p.m. | Fellowship Hall (Church wide fellowship) All members are invited to the Fellowship Hall for a chance to meet the entire family while enjoying light finger foods.

6:00 – 7:00 p.m. | Fellowship Hall (Churchwide Meeting) Church wide meeting to allow our prospective pastor an opportunity to address the congregation in a relaxed setting.

Sunday, October 23rd 8:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.

Prospective Pastor will preach in both morning services. Following each service, the membership will enter into a special business session to hear the recommendation from the Pastor Search Committee related to extending the call to this candidate to serve as our pastor. The vote will be by secret ballot. The votes be tabulated at the end of the second service.

A three-fourths vote constitutes approval by the church. We will inform the membership of the result in the evening service.

To better acquaint you with He and his family, we have mailed a brief biographical sketch to the membership to review at your convenience. We hope the brochure not only familiarizes you with this man and his family, but also gives you some insight on why he was our unanimous choice to be our pastor!
