2014 Canada’s Farm Progress Show Innovations The word Innovation is described under Wikipedia as “the application of better solutions that meet new requirements, unarticulated needs, or existing market needs.” It is thru Innovation that we see improvements, modernization and ultimately profitability in agriculture production. Canada’s Farm Progress Show – Presented by Viterra is unsurpassed as the Show to showcase all the Innovations – Sponsored by FCC, new products and product launches that our agriculture companies and dealers have to offer. This year under the Innovation umbrella, four distinct categories have been added. There are; “New Equipment Innovation,” “New Service Innovation,” “New Product,” and “New Mobile Device Application Software.” Companies, who have entered their Innovation, were qualified by the Canada Farm Progress Show Innovations committee. Innovations that were qualified were then critiqued by a panel of judges. Innovations were ranked the highest, will either receive a Gold Standard Award or Sterling Standard Award. Judging for 2014 FCC Innovations Competition The judging process for the 2014 Innovations is as follows. Over 300 producers and industry stakeholders were given the opportunity to view each entry and score it. The aggregate scores from these judges were used to rank each entry and those reaching certain thresholds will be awarded a Gold Standard Award or Sterling Standard Award. Over the years, we have grown from being a local event to being recognized as Canada’s largest tradeshow. Saskatchewan Tourism has dubbed us “the Event of the Year!” We’re proud to offer attendees an almost unparalleled opportunity to see the latest and greatest trends in agricultural production. Don’t think because you’ve been to Canada’s Farm Progress show before that you’ve seen it all. We work hard to ensure our programming keeps pace with the latest innovations and the emerging needs of the industry. While the main purpose of the show is as a showcase for agriculture companies, it also serves as an educational opportunity where people from both inside and outside the industry can come to learn about the modern world of agriculture. Over 45,000 attendees will visit more than 800+ exhibitors spread across 1.9 million square feet of show space. An increasingly important part of our show is the International Business Centre where we welcome representatives from around the world. In past years, we have been proud to host over 800 international guests representing over 57 countries. As a result of this program, the Farm Progress show is widely recognized as a major event for fostering international business relationships. Applying too much seed or too little seed can be a costly mistake. Knowing the seed population is something corn and soybean planter operators have enjoyed for years. WiFi Implement Camera This Camera is Designed for Outdoor Implement Applications with IR LED Lights to see in total Darkness up to 15M, lens is a 62 degree field of View, Wireless distance up-to 100M directly to users smart-phone no need to go threw the INTERNET, no monthly bills. Use for Swing out augers, end of augers into Grain Carts, etc. Where ever 1 camera to 1 View application is required. 12 in 1 Implement Cam System 12 Cameras to 1 Monitor, no longer are you restricted to only viewing four cameras on 1 monitor, we have developed a control Box that allows you to have 12 cameras connected to one monitor and using a foot switch allows you to switch between 3 group of 4 cameras or by pressing and holding the foot switch you are able to put the system into the auto rotate feature to rotate automatically between each group of 4 cameras. We have also developed a 4 in 2 cable system so that each cable is good for 4 cameras, this means less cabling. The system can also be configured to be a 8 camera system as well. Designed and built in Manitoba. This Product will work with other camera manufacture’s equipment.

Prevents spills and grain blowing away in very windy conditions. ARK Hopper Discharge Extension Extends the grain dryer intake to allow less humid air into the burner. ANTIQUE TRACTORS, TRUCKS & PARADE While the Canada’s Farm Progress Show’s main focus is to look to the future of agriculture, event organizers also recognize the importance of saluting the past as well. Spend some time at the Antique Tractors & Trucks showcase and find out why the farm machinery technology that existed decades ago is still enjoyed by many today! Many of the machines have been restored to their original glory. Grab a cup of coffee and take a few minutes to chat with the owners, who will be more than happy to provide you with a truly inspiring story as to how that particular piece of equipment came to be. Visitors can view more than 100 pieces of equipment (including tractors and other farm machinery) on display in

the Pasqua Prairie Harlton Buildings. The indoor display is open all three days of the show. Twice each day, the tractors are fired up in preparation for a trip around the show grounds in the Antique Tractor Parade. The parade route is often lined with young and old alike who enjoy the sights and sounds of these small but mighty machines of yesteryear. The parade takes place daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and follows the tram route. In a true test of pure strength, check out the Antique Tractor Pull, taking place daily at 2:30 p.m. on Lot C. The tractors test their owners’ skill at balancing power, speed and pressure levels, which allow them to dig in and hold on!

PARK N RIDE New this Year, Park and Ride. Exhibitors and attendees won’t need to worry about finding a parking spot, we’ve done that for you. Park at Rambler Park and hop aboard a shuttle to the CFPS grounds. Take Lewvan Drive and turn West on 13th Avenue, proceed to Sandra Schmirler Way. Once on Sandra Schmirler Way, turn South then turn West on 14th Avenue. Shuttles will start running at 8:30 a.m. each day and every 15 mins afterwards. The last shuttle will leave the grounds headed back to the parking lot at 6:45 p.m.
SHUTTLE SERVICE During the Canada Farm Progress Show we take the lead in providing door to door service for our International guests and exhibitors. Guests that are staying at a member of the Regina Hotel Association can catch the shuttle daily during the event. This service will operate from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., please contact your hotel front desk for more information. Guests are also encouraged to ask their shuttle drivers for information on the show event and tourist attractions around Regina.
