Raxil MD packs an even tougher punch When you treat your seed with Raxil ® MD, disease won’t know what hit them
by up to 20 percent. The systemic activity in Raxil protects barley right from the start, helping the crops get off to a healthy start. Raxil also limits the impact of fusarium in wheat which, along with head blight, causes seed rot, seedling blight and root rot, harming crop establishment and reducing yields by up to eight percent.
You want a seed treatment that comes out swinging against disease but you don’t want to fight with it when it comes to application. That’s what makes Raxil the undisputed champion of seed treatments. It delivers a powerhouse one-two punch against disease in wheat, barley and oats and thanks to its new formulation, it’s even easier to work with. Raxil combines two systemic fungicides – tebuconazole and metalaxyl – to fight off the most serious seed, seedling and soil-borne diseases. Two serious earlyseason contenders are smuts and fusarium disease complex. Left unchecked, true loose smut can knock barley yields back
Easy to use, easy to apply The secret is micro-dispersion technology. The particle size – nano-sized vs. micro-sized – used in the suspension is much finer than most formulations which make the suspension much thinner and more stable allowing for more thorough seed coverage. The extremely low viscosity of Raxil MD lets you apply it in cooler temperatures without it becoming too thick. In fact, viscosity won’t increase dramatically until it actually freezes at -10°C. Raxil is easy to use, easy to apply and its low dust formulation makes it ideal for either commercial or on-farm treating. Better yields, better ROI Compared to the payback, the cost of Raxil seed treatment barely lands a glancing blow. That’s because Raxil has
the potential to turn good crops into great crops by helping them get off to a healthy start. The results speak for themselves. Bayer CropScience and independent research trials show an average eight per cent yield increase over untreated seed. Here’s what that looks like in real dollars: Crop Type: (average yield increase per acre using Raxil x commodity price in bushels) – average input price per acre of Raxil = Return in dollars per acre Raxil-treated barley: (5 bushels x $4) – $3 = $17 Return Raxil-treated wheat: (3 bushels x $3) – $3 = $12 Return Score a KO against disease With Raxil MD in your corner, you’ll get uniform seed coverage, superior plant protection and an increased return on investment. And you get it all without the application struggle. See page 3 for a list of major diseases controlled or suppressed by Raxil MD
