Touch by God to Touch Others
Pressing On, Overcoming! Hi Friends at Faith Bible Chapel South As always there are adjustments in moving into a new country. But we have had a fair share of challenges. But in it all God's grace has been enough. We have some travel coming up and updates on our last month. Thanks for taking the time to read all that is going on.
Living on Base As a family this is the first time we have lived on a YWAM base. In the Philippines we lived near a YWAM base, but here in Chiang Rai we are experiencing a whole new ball game! As I said the base doesn't have adequate housing for us. Currently our family has been living in one room. We have been praying for a house near by to open up, but so far the next house we know of that is available will be open in October. So since we have been on base the electricity has had some major issues. Lights have been blown, computer chargers fried, and just a couple of days ago we had a electrical fire witch took out power to our room and power to the base water pump. Just
today our water tank emptied. All of this has gotten us to pray that the electrician can get it fixed as soon as possible. The good news is it should be fixed in a week (or maybe two)! We have enjoyed living on base. The staff are great to be around. We enjoy the talks we have and do feel at home. But the bottom line is we just don't have enough space for our family. Haydee is homeschooling Michaella and Lemuel and that has been a challenge. As for now it looks like we will be in our room until we head off for Cambodia. Pleas continue to pray for more grace for us.
On the Road Again We are about to head out for our 2012 YWAM North Thailand Regional Conference in Mae Sot, Thailand! Our Theme is Crossing Over. We believe God is going to be speaking to us about entering a new season for Northern Thailand. God is going to be leading us to expand and claim new regions all throughout the North. We are looking forward to what he will share with us. But before we go Lemuel will be turning 7 years old August 1! So we plan to leave Chiang Rai July 31 for Chaing Mai to celebrate his birthday! After our time in Chiang Rai we will be heading to Mae Sot for the conference.
Kids Lead the Way Adjusting to a new culture and new food can be challenging. But being a missionary sometimes I find myself watching that show, "Bizarre
Foods" and saying to myself, "That looks good." Well Justin has taken it to a new level. One of the Thai staff got him a bowl full of crickets. He like them so much he just kept on eating them! In fact, that day those crickets were his lunch! You can see more pictures with Justin and his cricket lunch by clicking here.
Thank you Friends at Faith Bible Chapel South for taking the time to read our newsletter. It is through your prayers and financial support we can do what we are doing. Know you are a blessing!
May our God continue to bless you! Dustin & Haydee along with Michaella, Lemuel, and Justin
