SUNRISE MINISTRY - meets Monday evenings, 7:00, here at the church. Currently an 8-week seminar, “Slay the Giants” is being presented. MID-WEEK BIBLE STUDY –Wednesday evenings, 7:00, here at the church. Join us! FOREIGN & HOME MISSION CONNECTION $220 was received for missions last Sunday.
Children K-5th grades are to join their parents in the sanctuary for worship each week being dismissed for Children’s Church after offering or Special Music.
HAIRCUTS – Alaina Niblett will be giving haircuts after service for donations. Proceeds will go to church projects.
FOOD BANK is requesting donations of Hamburger Helper this month. DO YOU OWN OR OPERATE A BUSINESS? – We’d like to promote businesses that are owned or operated by members of FBCS on our new website and facebook pages. THANK YOU to Dan and Linda Brooks for donating a refrigerator to the food bank. God used you to provide a way to keep produce, etc., fresh for the people who receive food.

FBCS ANNUAL CHILI COOK-OFF – Wednesday, October 19th, 6:30 p.m. here at the church. We will again have categories for red and green chili. Sign up in the foyer.

CHRISTMAS BANQUET – Mark your calendars now for Wednesday, December 7th, 6:30 p.m. The dinner this year will be at the Spaghetti Factory downtown. More details will be announced next week.

FALL HIKE – Sherri Durman is organizing a hike for Saturday, the 29th. Time and location yet to be determined. LEADERSHIP MEETING will be on Friday, the 21st, at 7:00 p.m. here at the church.
BENEVOLENCE BOX – In the southwest corner of the sanctuary is a box for donations for FBCS family needs. Anyone having practical needs to be met may call the church office directly at 303-587-2867.
LADIES’ FELLOWSHIP MEETING this month will be on Friday night, October 21st, at the home of Sherri Durman, 303 989-8259. There are maps in the foyer. Bring a finger food or dessert to share. OCTOBER BOOK CLUB meeting will be on Tuesday, the 25th, 2:30 at the home of Kitty Johns. This month’s book is I’ll Walk Alone by Mary Higgins Clark. BIBLE STUDIES - Katie Arbuthnot is having a Bible Study for women the 1st & 3rd Fridays and Jason one for men the 2nd & 4th Fridays at their home.
