4,351 Schools in 33 Nations 77,500 Students, 8,399 Graduates Dear Joshua Nations Partner, When God has a mission, He calls a man. That man was Sam Santos. Sam heard me preaching at a Sunday night service eleven years ago. He invited me to go to Cuba.
There are many spirits of distractions abounding in the world today. So many things are screaming for our attention.
I said: “I will!” He said: “No you won't”
It is amazing how many believers are running too and fro for the multitude of ideas, thoughts and opinions that flood Christianity's landscape. But we must not be overcome with sudden fear as the Proverbs writer warns us.
I said: “I will!” He said: “They all say that”
The Big Picture is still, as always, the Great Commission. The salvation of mankind is of paramount importance. Don't be distracted by the lesser and smaller matters. Focus 90% of your time on salvation and discipleship issues and only 10% of your time on the lesser matters. Super bowl advertising knows that people focused with intensity for 30 seconds gets the message across. If we spent our best "selective thinking" on the winning of humanity to Christ and less focus on the fear, doubts, and distractions, the kingdom would advance greatly!!! Focus!!!
Well friend, I kept my word and proved Sam wrong, and now the modern day 82-year-old hero Sam Santos miracle of Cuba has mushroomed to over 1,000 Bible Training Centers, with over 8,300 graduates and 31,000 students. In just ten short years, God has raised up pastors, evangelists, counselors, church planters, teachers and a swelling labor force for the Cuban church. And Sam? He is one of my dearest friends. I thank God for him. Cuba We have just returned from another exciting ministry trip to Cuba with a team from Colorado, Texas and New York. Our team had the privilege of ministering in churches in Havana, and God moved through them to bring people to Christ.
Several people received healings. We are hearing reports from our newest team members that being a part of the Cuban miracle has drastically affected their lives. The team witnessed to, prayed over, and commissioned over 500 graduates into ministry! The graduation ceremonies were powerful and heart stirring. <continued on next page>
