Golden mile with photo opportunities Walk along the Durban beachfront promenade with the opportunity to photograph the activities that will be arranged. These will include Traditional Dancing, Skateboarding and Rickshaws. Delegates can also walk out on the many piers along the beachfront to watch and photograph surfers. The beachfront stretches f or over 5 kilometres and has numerous points of interest for photography.

The stadium was one of the main stadiums for the 2010 Football World Cup held in South Afric a. It is an iconic stadium with many opportunities to photograph the architecture of the stadium. There will also be activities arranged on the vast area outside the stadium which will present good photographic opportunities.

Explore the picturesque estate with its beautiful gardens, dams and forest areas. There will be opportunities to photograph the gardens, dams, landscape, trout fishermen, vintage cars, Scottish bagpipe players and fashion models. The estate also has a beer brewery that some delegates may find of interest.

The Warwick Markets are a vibrant and unique feature of Durban. These are divided into 9 distinct markets each selling specific goods ranging from Eastern Bazaars to Clothing, Food and Traditional Herbalists. This offers photographers numerous opportunities to capture the essence of Durban street life.

uShaka Marine World is rated as one of the top aquariums in the world. Walk through the aquarium offers photographers the opportunity to capture the behaviour of a large variety of sea creatures. The dolphin show will offer great phot opportunities, as will a visit to the seal and penguin enclosures, where these amazing animals can be viewed up close. The layout of the Marine World is unique and the architecture itself makes for interesting photography opportunities.

Arrive at PheZulu Cultural Village and Tala Game Reserve Half of the delegates visit PheZulu whilst the other half will go to Tala in the morning. The group going t o PheZulu will travel to Tala to join all for lunch. After lunch the morning group from Tala will travel to PheZulu

PheZulu Cultural Village and Reptile Farm Here delegates will have the opportunity to view a traditional Zulu Dance Show, photograph people in traditional clothes and explore the way of life of the Zulu people. The reptile farm has a large number of crocodiles and snakes that are fascinating to observe. Tala Game Reserve A chance to experience the African bush.


Tala Game Reserve has a large selection indigenous wildlife including antelope species, giraffe, hippo and rhino. Delegates will be treated to a game drive, with a qualified game guide, to view these magnificent animals in their natural environment. There will also be a number of models around the lodge, where the delegates will be based, in a variety of fashions styles from South Africa, providing delegates with the opportunity to move around and photograph. 19h00 – 20h30

Photography at Botanic gardens The Durban Botanic gardens were established in 1849 and include over 13 000 plant species. They also have one of the largest collections of cycads in the world, in addition to an orchid house which has an array of these beautiful flowers. The gardens cover 15 hectares and attract a large number of birds, many of which frequent the ponds in the gardens.
