Bond Store (1864) Walk the earthen floors of the Bond Store, old storage for Her Majesty’s Customs Service. Revisit a time when opium was a legal import and taste port among rum barrels left over from the 1860s. See a sound and light show based on the arrival of the first boatload of immigrants in 1862.
Maryborough Military and Colonial Museum (1879) Explore more than 10,000 items of military and colonial memorabilia. Learn about the heroes who fought in distant lands and courageous pioneers who settled this colony. One of Australia’s earliest botanic gardens, heritage-listed Queens Park has sweeping river views, a waterfall, ornamental flower beds and towering trees dating back to 1864. Heritage features include a rotunda, cannons and a fountain. Kids love the magnificent Banyan Tree, one of the oldest and largest of its kind in Australia.
Mary River Parklands Once lined with wharves, the Parklands are now a beautiful green space with striking public art and monuments, winding pathways, gardens and a river deck.

ANZAC PARK AND Ululah Lagoon See swans, ducks, pelicans and other birdlife at this lagoon, once a favourite meeting place for Aboriginal tribes. The lagoon is bordered by a beautiful park with walk and cycle paths, playground, picnic tables, BBQs, exercise stations and toilet blocks.
