Baskets & Bunnies Egg Hunt

Saturday April 8, 2023 • 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

(1-7 yrs) Hop on down to Burke Lake Park to visit Sunny the Bunny. Take a spin into spring on our carousel, get egg-cited for crafts and games and play a round of mini-golf. $16 pass on sale through the day before the event, $21 if purchased day of event. No refunds unless event is canceled. Contact Burke Lake Park for additional information. Children younger than age 10 must be accompanied by an adult for rides. Limited activity tickets available day of event at the park. Please be on time for your egg hunt as space may not be available in another time slot. Egg hunt time is specified upon registration. Before or after your egg hunt enjoy Basket and Bunnies activities between 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sensory-Friendly Baskets & Bunnies Egg Hunt

Clean up the World Field Day!

(4-Adult) Discover how you can help your planet through fun games and activities. Beat the clock in Recycling Rendezvous, race against your family in Waste No Water Relay, and test your mind in Lifespan of Litter! Bring an old piece of clothing to repurpose into a cool new reusable bag. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Engineering Then and Now

(5-Adult) The Colvin Run Mill is an example of early American mechanical engineering. Come see the mill in operation and discover historic and modern engineering. With hands-on activities, conversations with professionals from a variety of engineering fields and sample tools, you will learn how today’s engineers are building on the work of engineers of the past to solve problems in the present and future.

Art & Architecture at Huntley

(All Ages) Join us at Historic Huntley for a celebration of arts and architecture in conjunction with the Northern Virginia chapter of the American Institute of Architects’ Architecture Month. From 1. to 3 p.m., enjoy free tours of Historic Huntley and watch artists at work creating paintings “en plein air” (outdoors). Sign up the kids or the whole family for a 2 p.m. ice cream making program ($10 per person). At 3 p.m. attend a free reception for the artists whose paintings of the day will be available for viewing and sale. Preregistration for the 2 p.m. ice cream program is required and may be completed through Parktakes online. Admission to the grounds, site tours, and reception attendance are free and do not require registration.

Spring Farm Day

(2-Adult) Watch sheep shearing and antique farm equipment demonstrations. Participate in hands-on farm activities such as cow and goat milking. Enjoy crafts, games, and get an up-close introduction to the baby farm animals. One wagon ride included with each paid admission. Cost is $10 per person age 2 and older before May 6th. Walk-ins welcome, $12 at the door on the day of the event.

(4-Adult) Come celebrate all things bugs with our creepy-crawly adventure!
