Guidelines for completion of Entry Form 2 The Fraser Coast Heritage & Building Awards is a combination of several awards promoted by the Fraser Coast Regional Council & Maryborough Herald Newspaper. These awards have grown out of the success of the Maryborough Heritage Awards and now encompass the entire Fraser Coast Region. These awards create a forum in which property owners and business people can be recognised for their contribution in preserving and promoting the built heritage of our region. EARLES PAINT PLACE & TAUBMANS RESIDENTIAL COLOUR AWARDS HAVE TWO CATEGORIES: 1. PROFESSIONALLY PAINTED RESIDENCE AWARD Awarded to the owner of a residential property where painting work has been carried out by a professional painting contractor. 2. OWNER PAINTED RESIDENCE AWARD Awarded to the owner of a residential property where painting work has been carried out by the property owner. Criteria The judges will be considering the utilisation of colour in the painting project particularly with respect to - Appropriateness to the era of the building - Authentic use of colour contrast - Balance of colours chosen - Overall appeal of the scheme particularly as viewed from the street. General Works must have been completed before 1 January 2009. Short listing of entries will be based on the information provided including detailed summary descriptions and photographs. It is therefore important that the summary description addresses the criteria detailed with the awards category. Checklist:
