CLUB IT SAFE AND SOUND Clubbing in London can be great fun. You can get down with your mates and also make some new ones on the dance floor. Follow these tips to ensure the night doesn’t turn from euphoric to desperate. Drink water: When you’re dancing, you’ll dehydrate and quenching your thirst with another pint isn’t really going to help much. Try having a soft drink or water after each bevvy and session on the dance floor. Watch your drinks: You can’t keep an eye on your drinks all the time, but try to keep a check on them. Unfortunately, there are some nutters out there who will add something nasty to your drink causing you to blackout or worse. Ask your non-dancing mates to watch your drink while you’re strutting your stuff. Taxi safety: When you’re booking a taxi, make sure it’s a registered one. Try not to travel on your own and let friends know what firm you have booked.

TRIED A BANH MI YET? Banh Mi is the newest sandwich trend sweeping London. What is it? It’s a Vietnamese baguette made with both wheat and rice flour and filled with delicious meat and veg. There are various global and regional variations on the fillings, but traditionally they contain meat, such as pork, with carrots, cucumber and chillis. The contrasting flavours and textures of the sandwich along with their relatively low cost make them a popular dish for students - and everybody else. This café is perfect for a filling and inexpensive lunch or early dinner where the majority of the sandwiches are on offer for under five pounds.
