Lifestyle Experience

Fashion stylist and designer, Alize Demange invited us along to experience a typical social event in the life of an ‘urban Hipster’.

Private birthday party of a well know music video director of this subcultures music scene called Morgan Keyz @SBTV.co.uk

Shoreditch Guests included up and coming music artists and urban fashion designers labels including Trapstar London.

On our way walking through Shoreditch we followed the spectrum from clean modern city buildings near Liverpool Street station all the way to Great Eastern Street with the artsy streets full of graffiti and murals on the walls and cute little bars. We arrived at the venue, East Village Club, Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch to see a queue on one side and a bustling smokers section on the other. It was guest list only but being with my London socialite of a friend, Alize Demange, we were let straight into the venue. After having our hand stamped in the brightly lit foyer we headed on down the swirly stairs to an underground world in the basement, a dark room with a black floor, worn brown walls, a few spotlights where needed, a bar running along the far wall and very loud music bouncing off the walls. You struggle to hear your friend speak to you yet everyone was interacting with everyone with such carefree vibes. An eclectic choice of urban music from Hip Hop to RnB to House to Garage to Indie to oldskool soul classics. The fashion was pretty eclectic too with styles of vintage denim, mysterious black from head to toe, fitted high waist jeans, creepers, converse, androgyny, fur, beanie hats, tattoos and a few piercings here and there. It was quite a small venue but a perfectly intimate hidden melting pot of music, fashion and reasonably priced drinks.
