ne day, a new judge called Judge Noble was summoned to court to take on a new case. There was a huge file on his desk with a lot of evidence against Gideon, the French Launderer.

The charges against him were numerous and diverse: he was suspecting of having stolen money, of having hidden financial resources from the government to avoid taxes.

The judge decided there was enough to hold a trial and brought the French Launderer to court. He sent a reliable policeman to bring him but Gideon gave him a bribe and the officer let him loose.

When the judge didn't see his messenger come back, he sent another policeman who also fell into a trap. Finally, he sent a member of a special task who succeeded and Gideon confessed all his crimes.

At court, he was confronted by all his accusers. One by

if he defended himself against them all, he claimed he was a loyal and true citizen of his country and the object of many lies and deceits.

The judge declared him guilty but Gideon only paid a fine and was deprived of his term as senator.

nce upon a time in a certain country, a certain realm, a certain region, a certain village, there was an orphan so poor, so poor,

One day he decided to leave his house and find a luck. Early in the morning he left his poor house.

He walked a lot and saw a man

who

was

coming

towards him “where are you going?” asked he “I go to seek my life” answered the poor man “Become my servant for three years and I will teach you three helpful things for life”

After one year service the man thought him one thing: “ what you find outside your garden, throw it into yours”. After the second year service he taught: “ After the third year he taught: “ Don`t tell your secret to a woman”. Then he blessed him and let him home back home.

The youth set off, reached his house, mad a fence and as instructed, brought everything in him garden whatever he found. One day he found a snake and as a rule, threw it in his garden. It has started laying precious stones and young man soon became wealthy, got married and lived happily.

One day his wife asked: “how did you become so rich? she asked several times again and again and at last the secret revealed. However the snake stopped laying stones and little by litthe the man became poor again. Once a stranger asked him a knife and our hero didn`t remember out wise man`s words and gave it. However the stranger killed someone with that knife and the police arrested our hero as an owner of the knife. This is how young man destroyed his life.

t was the time when first countries in Europe were formed. Three Slavic brothers – Czech, Lech and Rus – were walking across a large area between the two rivers. From the west, there was Odra river

they were trying to find the best place to live for their tribes.

The trip wasn't easy for them because they were walking with their children and elderly people. They were trying to get as far as possible to find the best place for their people. The wise brothers knew that too quick decision wouldn't be good, so they waited for some signs in order to make the best decisions. They were walking across fields, through forests and along rivers. One day they stopped at a beautiful spot near the lake. They sat down under the

huge oak to rest. As they were resting, Lech saw a big, beautiful bird. It was a white eagle.

They haven't seen such an amazing bird before. Lech couldn't stop looking at it. After a while, he decided to stay here with his people. The spot was ful of animals, and food, so they built their country here.

Czech and Rus agreed with Lech decision and they went further to look for their spots to live. Czech went south and Rus went east. Lech said goodbyeto his brothers and they have never seen again. Lech's area was visited by the white eagle from time to time. Lech built a village and then a castle in this place.

This legend tells a story of the beginning of Polish country, their neighbour country from the South – Czech Republic and from the east Russia.

nce upon a time, around 1808 in Catalonia, there was a war: The French War, and the feared, powerful and unstoppable Napoleonic army attacked “El Bruc”, a poor village in Anoia

divided between rich people and poor people. There were demonstrations frequently because they complained that the light and the water bills were too expensive. “El Bruc” is near the Montserrat Mountains, and its inhabitants were hopeless. The baker’s daughter was called Sheila, and she was in love with Roc, the drummer (“el timbaler” in Catalan). The people armed themselves as much as they could with spears, rocks and sticks, and a boy from the village whose name was Roc, asked what he could do to help. The men said he couldn’t do anything, and he should stay at home. The men from the village, who knew every small places and hideouts in the mountains, won the first attack against the French people, but they tried to charge back weapons and more warriors. The boy asked again what he could do and they gave him the same answer. Suddenly, Sheila suggested that he could interfere in the war in a different way. Roc listened to Sheila’s idea and he realized that he had fallen in love with her too. He was angry for the men’s answer, so he went home and he started to play the small drums to try to calm himself down but he was totally angry and he took the instrument again and he went to the Montserrat Mountains which reminded him of Sheila’s idea. When he arrived, he saw the French people coming and he said ‘oh, no, dear! ’ and he heard his own echo. Then, he realized that if he played louder, the French people would think that there were a lot of warriors. The plan worked and they got scared because they thought they had to fight against a big army and they eventually ran away. After his great success defeating French warriors, he

and Sheila started a relationship that lasted a long time. Thanks to this boy, who became a hero, Catalan people won the war and in order to thank him, there are several statues of him in many villages around the area.

MORAL OF THE STORY The tale teach that everyone can do the things that they want to change, and think that you can do anything, that means the right to defense your opinion and defense yourself.

trong Rob is also known as the Oak Giant which is the most popular giant of the Catalan mythology. Strong Rob was born in Berga near the river Llobregat.

What was the Oak giant like? He was as tall as the size of two basketball players and he was very, very strong. He had worked in a field cultivating big carrots and other vegetables so he became even stronger, so at the end he couldn’t hug anybody, as when he made a big movement, he hurt other people. Oak Giant lived in the countryside, near his field, because inhabitants of the city didn’t want him as his big movements could destroy everything even if he didn’t want to. Time went past, and one day Oak Giant found out that Berga had fallen under the political power of the Muslims. Those people were bigger than a normal person. Catalan people consider them as giants. People were scared of

these

Muslims

big but

there was also a group

of

people

who knew Strong Rob

so

they

weren’t so shocked, they went to the country

house

where Strong Rob was living to ask him for some help.

When Strong Rob went to Berga, he saw lots of big Muslims around the city, he started grabbing and throwing those Muslims like he was throwing the carrots he cultivated on his field.

After this, the inhabitants opened their minds and talked to Strong Rob. They though that he was a good person and not a monster in spite of his appearance. He was only taller and stronger than them, but he wasn’t a monster anymore.

After a month, all the Muslims were thrown away from Berga and Strong Rob became a local hero. People asked him to live with them; he accepted the idea and eventually everybody lived happy forever!

MORAL OF THE STORY The moral of this tale is that how we appear on the outside doesn’t always reflect what is inside and you shouldn’t judge people from how they seem on the outside as their real personality can be different than how you imagine. The Oak Giant is a nice example of this because his appearance may seem like a monster but it doesn’t show his real personality, which is good and kind. This relates to the Human Right of having Freedom from discrimination as the Oak Giant was discriminated against because of his appearance because he couldn’t live in the same town and this is not correct.

O

nce upon a time there was a dad and a mum, who had a tiny boy, so tiny so tiny, that they called him Kiddy. One day when his mother was checking her mobile phone, the

little boy asked her to go out for a walk because he wanted to catch some Pokémon. His mum replied to him “no”, because he was so small that people could step on him. He insisted on going outside; his mum, finally said “yes” but told him “to be careful that the people didn’t step on him”. He replied to her that he was going to sing “Kiddym, kaddam, kaddum women and men of the street, kiddym, kaddam, kaddum don’t step on Kiddy.” The people heard him but they didn’t know who was singing, so they were a bit frightened. He was playing Pokémon Go when suddenly; the phone didn’t have any internet, so he went to a phone shop. The shop assistant didn’t see him; Kiddy shouted and shouted “I am here! I am here!” till the shop assistant heard him and discovered that it was a little boy. -Hello, I’m Kiddy and I would like to recharge my phone to continue playing please. -Hello, okay. Give me your phone and I will recharge it. It costs 5€. Here you go Kiddy. -Thank you! (15 MINUTES LATER…) While he was playing Pokémon Go, a suspicious man shouted to Kiddy. -Hey little boy! Are you playing Pokémon Go?

-Yes, I want to find a Pikachu! -I have one! Follow me and I will give you mine. -Okay, where is it? (1 HOUR LATER…) His parents called Kiddy lots of times, but he didn’t answer any of the calls. They tried to find him in the park where he usually used to play Pokémon Go. While they were in the park, they kept on calling him; they started hearing the ringtone of his phone closer every time and they went straight to it. They finally found the phone on the floor next to an abandoned house. They heard the voice of Kiddy who shouted: “HELP MEEEEEEE!” The parents went to the house but they discovered that the house was closed. His father broke the door and Kiddy was inside the house alone. The man who kidnapped him wasn’t there, as when he heard the parents coming towards the house he had run away. The whole family returned home and they called the police to report that a man kidnapped their child and that they should go to investigate it. Kiddy realised that it was dangerous to go alone on the street because many things can happen and he shouldn’t talk to strangers again.

MORAL OF THE STORY The moral of this tale is that you must be cautious of strangers, as even though you have the human right to liberty some people can try and take this right away from you.

nce upon a time in a small village, there was a lively boy called Bummy. One day his mother went shopping and she said to her son:

-Bummy, my dear son, I have to go shopping and I don’t want you to go out. And Bummy answered: -No mum, I’m not going out. His mum left home and she kissed her little son. -Bye, bye Bummy! -Bye, bye mummy!

Few minutes later, Robby, Bummy’s friend, arrived, he didn’t hear any sounds. Robby started to sing. -Bummy come here, come out, come out. Bummy come here and play with me. -Hello Robby! -Hello Bummy! Let’s go out and play football together. But Bummy answered: -No! My mum doesn’t want me to come out. Later, Mary arrived, she didn’t hear anything and she started to sing: -Bummy, come here, come out, come out. Bummy come here and play with me. -Hello Mary! -Hello, Bummy! Come out to play with toys with me. But Bummy answered: -No! My mum doesn’t want me to come out. 10 minutes later Michael arrived, he didn’t hear any sounds and he started to sing. -Bummy, come here, come out, come out. Bummy come here and play with me. -Hi, Henry!

-Hi, Bummy! Come to my house to play Play Station games with me. But Bummy answered: -No! My mum doesn’t want that I go out. But‌ few moments later, Bummy heard a rare sound. -Bam, bam! Bummy listened to the sound carefully, it was getting louder and louder. -Bam, bam! Bummy wanted to know what this sound was and he got out, forgetting the rules that her mum had told him. He opened the door and outside, there was a big murder that wanted to kill Bummy. Bummy scared, shouted: -Mum, mum, come here! When the murder was ready to kill him, his mum arrived and she hit the murder:

-Clank! The murder, scared, ran away and mum went to hug his soon. While his mum is working at home, Bummy can go out and play with all his friends without dangers.

MORAL OF THE STORY We have to listen and pay attention to our parents or old people, in this case, to be saved and protected from the outside dangers. “The curiosity killed the gat HUMAN RIGHT: Article 3: Right of liberty Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.

O

nce upon a time there was a boy called Peter. He had a lot of toys and the biggest house in the city, and because of that he wasn’t scared of anything. So he decided to go and search for

something that really scared him. While he was searching he met a girl who was crying

What happened? Why are you crying? -Peter said. − I’ve met the Toy Monster and he stole my doll –The girl said. − Did he scare you? − Yes, a lot! − Really?! Where can I find him? − He is in the toyshop which is in front of the shopping center.

So Peter went there hoping that this monster would scare him. − I’m the Toy Monster and I can steal all your favourite toys! – the monster said − You can steal them but I have enough money to buy more, so I’m not afraid of you! Then he left the shop disappointed. Later while he was walking on the street he saw a power mast and a lot of people running away from the WiFi monster.

− Who are you? – asked Peter − I’m the Wi-Fi monster and I will not let your electronic devices have access to the internet.- threatened the monster − But I can built another pylon and have WI-Fi so I’m not scared of you! So Peter left tired of searching for fear. When he was ready to give up the mission, he saw a poor girl who was sitting on a bench.

− What’s wrong with you? You seem sad! – asked Peter − I’m a refugee and I had to leave my country, so I’m very tried. – The girl said − I’m tired too because I have been searching for fear all day. − Really? Don’t you know what fear is? I’ve ran away from it all of my life. − So can you show me what scares you? − Yes! Sure, but sorry what’s your name? − My name is Peter, and yours? − My name is Sarah. − Ok! Nice to meet you! So let’s go and find the fear! But first why are you here and not in your country? − - Because some monsters came to my house. For example the monster

of hunger stole all our food, and then arrived the poor’s

monster,

who he took all our money and my parent’s jobs. Because of that we had to leave our country. While we were leaving our house the monster of the bombs came and he took my mum. Since then we haven’t seen her any more.

− And why did those monsters came to your country and not to mine? − Because the government of my country called the monster of the war, and these one called the other monsters. − Who is the monster of the war? − Came I’ll show you who he is. They walked into a very old house. In one of the rooms there was only an old TV showing pictures of destroyed houses, people crying, planes throwing bombs…These shocked Peter.

− This is what the monster of the war does, and what he is doing to my country. − Wow! That’s terrible, this really scares me. I think I have finally found the fear. MORAL OF THE STORY The moral part of this tale is that the things that really can scare you are not material, are things that you don’t realize how important are for you since you lose them. The human rights that appear here are the right to life, liberty and security of person, the right to asylum in other Countries from persecution.

O

nce upon a time there was a man who lived outside the city, far away from people because he liked the pace of the mountains. His name was Jack. Physically he has tall and with hair, long

bread and black eyes. One day, some teenagers went to the mountain and they played with a ball, slowly they got closer to Jack’s house, and they made noise. The man got angry and he asked to the young people to leave because they didn’t let him rest. At the same time the dog started to bark. The teenagers left very quickly and when they arrived to their town they started to spread a rumour about an old man who lived alone with the dangerous wild dog up in the mountains. Jack used to go to town once per week to buy bread. When he arrived everybody looked at him in a bad way and they whispered a lot of different things. When he arrived at the bakery he saw the owner who he knew and trusted. Jack asked the owner what was happening. The owner didn’t know what to say, but finally he explained the truth of the rumour. The man got angry and kicking the door he returned to his house. People saw it and believed the rumour even more.

The teenagers, happy because people had believed them, wanted to increase the rumour. In the evening, they went to the bakery where they broke the shop window and they stole a few baguettes.

The next day, the teenagers went to the bakery, because they saw Jack carrying a hammer and they wanted to warn the owner. The owner, very angry, decided to do nothing because he can’t believe the teenagers, he hoped that the man had not done it. Since then, lots of different events occurred and step by step the teenagers placed everybody against Jack; but finally, one day, the owner of the bakery started to suspect the teenagers were guilty because he had caught them doing some mischief in the town and then they pretended to blame Jack.

Jack wasn’t surprised by the events, he went running to the town center and then he told the truth to the people. Everybody felt bad for believing the teenagers and for judging the man without knowing him.

A few days later the people of the town went to Jack’s house. They knocked on the door and they offered Jack bread, honey and jam making sincere apologies, which the man accepted. Finally the people of the town realized that you shouldn’t judge somebody for his or her appearance. MORAL OF THE STORY The moral of this tale is that no one can judge anyone for his/her appearance.

A until

few years ago, Barcelona was a very busy city

the

arrival

of

a

controller machine which little by little subdued all the people of the city. That machine

controlled

making

people

connected

to

to

the

them be social

networks, and as a result they

lost

any

communication

social between

them. The machine was the cause of the lack of activity on the streets,

and

communication

the

little between

people. The problem was that people didn't realize what

was

happening

around

them,

and

way

there were less people on the street.

This went on for some time, until one day a girl from Barcelona realized what was happening and that life couldn't continue like that. So through the social networks, she established contact with a telecommunications engineer from Germany called George. He had a very clear idea that the human essence and communication in real life are very important, and therefore he had to stop that machine.

The girl and the engineer realized that the machine was as powerful as a monster who abducts people´s brains, and they had to use a specific virus to fight the system and stop its main function. The

engineer

had

taken some days to create the virus, but finally the day to destroy the machine came and he could see the

result

of

their

work. The virus acted successfully disconnecting the machine and creating a special bond between the girl and the engineer.

After a few days the town came back to normal activity and the engineer who defended people’s essence was happy to know that people was again on the streets communicating each other face to face. Then, he wanted to meet with the girl in person.

And that was how he travelled to Barcelona and met the girl. He fell in love with her and with the city, and they lived happily ever after‌ in Barcelona, of course.

A

long time ago in a village named Manresa there was a mischievous child called David. He had a huge farm full of animals: cows, sheep, hens, rabbits‌

One day, while David was shopping in the village’s market he heard two men chatting: − -I heard that the bishop of Vic has cut off the supply of the clean water! − -And now what are we going to do? Thanks to this water pipe we have water to irrigate the crops. -said the other man Hearing this, David interrupted the conversation: − -And now what? I need to feed my animals! Then another man jumped into the conversation too: − -You just have to be content with what you have.-said the man. − -No, I will go to talk with the bishop of Vic to let the water go through.-said David determined. − -What could a 12-year-old child do?-said the man with a laugh. David went back home very resentful. The next morning, David decided to go to Vic to try to change the opinion of the Bishop. When he arrived, he went into the church and inside he saw the Bishop preaching.

When the Bishop ended to give mass, David asked him: − -Please, let the water of the canal flow again! My village is dying; it needs water to drink and to grow the crops and feed the animals! − -Do you think that such a little boy like you can suggest anything to me? Go away!

David went back to Manresa very sad, thinking about the absolute disgrace of his village.

A week later, while the bishop was having lunch, a light from Montserrat Mountains went through the church’s stained glass, lighting up the bishop’s glass of water. Suddenly, the bishop realized how much was Manresa suffering. So, the bishop decided to connect the canal with the

clean water supply to Manresa. Thanks to that, the shortage of water in David’s village came to an end.

MORAL OF THE STORY Everybody has the right to have a home to live in, food and water.

O

nce upon a time in a small town there was a girl called Claire, she was always jumping and dancing, and one day she found a note.

− ‘’Oh! I’m so lucky! What can I do with it? What if I buy some trainers? No, I could get blisters. What if I buy a t-shirt? Yes, yes I am going to buy a beautiful one.’’

And she did. She went to look for some T-shirts. At the end, she decided to buy a blue t-shirt. − ‘’Yes, I like that one. Everybody will look at me!’’. She couldn’t wait! Just at the moment Claire had the T-shirt, she put it on. Then Paul, walked by, in front of her, and he said: − ‘’Hi Claire’’. Said Paul nervously. − ‘’Hi Paul’’. Said Claire. − ‘’Claire, do you want to go out?’’. Said Paul hopefully. − ‘’Yes’’, said Claire ironically ‘’ but I don’t want to go out with you, I can go alone’’.

A few minutes later Mark passed by there and he saw Claire sitting on the bench of the park. − ‘’What are you doing here alone? Would you like to come to the cinema with me? Do you want to watch an action movie?’’. Said Mark confidently. − ‘’I’m so sorry Mark, but I don’t like action movies, go alone if you want’’. Said Claire thinking that in reality she loves action movies. When the afternoon came, Claire was still wearing her T – shirt and she was proud of it. Then she found James, and he said: − ‘’Would you like to go to have a snack with me?’’. − ‘’You’re late I’ve just gone with some friends’’. Said Claire satisfied. −

The evening came, and Claire was still hopeful of finding the perfect match. Then, Chris, the most popular boy in the high school walked past her and asked her:

− "Hey beautiful girl, would you like to come with me to watch the sunset?’’. Said Chris, knowing that she would go with him. − ‘’Yeah! For sure!’’. Said Claire very happily. And this is how Chris and Claire ended up together watching the sunset in a very romantic scene.

Things changed over time, and everybody advised Claire: − -Claire, be careful with him. He’s probably cheating on you! I’ve seen him with other girls! − No that’s impossible, he loves me so much that he would never do that. One day Claire was running in the park when she saw Chris kissing Eva, her best friend. And then, she realized that people’s comments were true. Suddenly, she felt her heart broken.

MORAL OF THE STORY She learned that we shouldn’t judge anyone by his or her appearance or believe that someone is a good person just because he/she is beautiful. People usually confuse inner beauty with external beauty.
