And it surely can’t substitute for the ultimate vehicle assessment method: basic driver feel. A number of exciting new ranges have been added to the Champion ignition portfolio, for both gasoline and diesel engines. The addition of new Integrated Pressure Sensor Glow plugs and Glow Control Units to the diesel range means that Champion now offers a complete collection of OE-quality ignition components, including spark plugs, glow plugs, ignition coils, wire sets and control units.

The Integrated Pressure Sensor Glow Plug, Ceramic Glow Plug and Instant Start System are the latest innovations and important additions to the diesel range. Investment into diesel combustion R&D demonstrates Federal-Mogul’s commitment to providing the solutions that the automotive industry needs. For example, Integrated Pressure Sensor Glow Plugs are developed specifically for modern diesel engines and provide precise combustion regulation in real time. Integrated Pressure Sensor Glow Plugs are able to monitor cylinder pressure and transmit information to the engine control electronics, ensuring smooth running, improved performance and reduced emissions.

Champion Ceramic Glow Plugs are produced in extreme temperatures using diamond cutting tools and innovative manufacturing methods, which enables the plug to operate at temperatures up to 1,300°C. Supplementing the Champion Instant Start System, which is designed for direct injection diesel engines, a complete diesel engine ignition range is now available. The Instant Start System uses an electronic glow plug control unit to help optimized plugs reach temperatures up to 1,100°C in one to two seconds in temperatures as low as -25°C., whereas traditional plugs require around five seconds.

For gasoline engines, the Eon Titan range of spark plugs is a major new arrival. This new compact range provides 90% coverage for the European aftermarket car parc using only 18 references. For comparison, the nearest competitors offer 68% from 17 references and 73% from 34 references.

CHAMPION WIPERS °3 INNOVATIVE RANGES THAT OFFER GREAT PERSPECTIVES° The Champion range of wipers has also expanded with key additions to help the brand to provide comprehensive market coverage. Following the outstanding success of its two previous winter promotional campaigns in Belgium, Italy, France and Spain, Federal-Mogul Motorparts’ ignition brand BERU is extending its seasonal sales initiative for winter 2016-17 to give nearly 60% of the customer population in the European union a chance to win the star prize: the chance for ten people to attend the prestigious Mille Miglia classic car rally as BERU’s VIP guests. This year’s ‘Live the Legend’ promotion now also includes Germany and Poland, with even more countries to participate in the coming years The Mille Miglia was an open road 1,000 mile endurance race which took place between 1927 to 1957. Famous winners include Sir Stirling Moss and Alberto Ascari. Running of the Mille Miglia competitively was eventually stopped because it became too dangerous, but the event still takes place and attracts the best classic cars from around the world.

BERU IN 2016 CONTINUES TO EXPAND WITH A COMPLETE RANGE OF OE IGNITION COMPONENTS 2016 has been a prosperous and busy year so far for Federal-Mogul Motorparts ignition specialist BERU, which offers a complete range of ignition components for gasoline and diesel engines. Latest developments, such as an expanded range of Pressure Sensor Glow plugs (PSG), have resulted in the best-in-class range now spanning glow plugs, glow control units, spark plugs, ignition coils (including more than 50 New Product Introductions in the past 12 months) and wire sets.

Beru is offering an outstanding vehicle coverage across Europe.

In addition, the introduction of BERU Ultra Plus Titan spark plugs at Automechanika Frankfurt is a major milestone for the brand. The new compact range, which feature F1 anti-flashover technology and will be available by the end of 2016, provides the widest coverage (90%) of the European car parc with a minimal amount of parts (18 product references). With those statistics BERU does better than any competitor.

BERU’s diesel range has expanded too and enabled the brand to offer an even more complete portfolio of ignition components.

PSG plugs have been developed to meet the needs of modern, downsized, direct-injection diesel engines, and are the first plugs to provide precise combustion regulation in real time. Beru has recently introduced PSG008, which is a pressure sensor glow plug for various Audi and VW models. F-M For Me is a programme designed to support distributors, their wholesalers and installers and provide a direct link to FederalMogul Motorparts. F-M For Me offers each customer a tailored plan that helps to increase turnover and improve technical and product knowledge. It also allows them to benefit from the support offered by Federal-Mogul Motorparts’ extensive infrastructure.

The programme is broken down into five key areas of focus: My Team, My Business, My Stock, My Campus and My Bonus.

FIVE NEW WEBSITES TO BETTER CONNECT WITH THE MARKET In order to keep providing you with the best possible customer service, we have launched brand-new websites for our Ferodo, MOOG, Champion and Jurid brands, and the FederalMogul Motorparts home site. All five websites have been developed to unify the branding across our different product segments and feature greatly improved navigation.
