Manatees also known as sea cows, are aquatic mammals that inhabit coastal waters and rivers of three distinct parts of the world. The Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico are the habitats of the West Indian manatee, the Amazon basin, is the place where the Amazonian manatee lives and oceans, rivers, lakes, coastal estuaries, reservoirs, lagoons, and bays on the west coast of Africa are the habitat of the West African manatee. All three species of manatees like warm waters and are unfit to live in cold temperatures regardless the bulky body they have.
