Hi Key Clubbers! Can you believe it’s been a month since the last newsletter? O__O oh jeez, time flies. I hope you all had a wonderful time volunteering at the BMO marathon although I personally was exhausted and I know some people lost their voices. ( 👀 👀 u know who u are) I’m excited to let you know we have a lot more planned for the month of May and June! Coming up, we have the next DCM on the 28th hosted by our AMAZING LTG Jenny Jia! We are also collaborating with Churchill execs to bring together a volunteer event for the food bank this summer so definitely look out for that and let your friends know!
Finally, we are planning a huge event revolving hair so keep a close eye on that (especially if you are looking to donate or go bald!) Can’t wait to get moving and it has been great meeting a whole bunch of you! :D In love and service, Carrie Ding

bmo runvan marathon On May 1st, many Key Clubbers volunteered at the BMO marathon where they got to help out at a water station! They also got to set up tents/tables and prepare and hand out both water and energy drinks! Everyone had an amazing time and thank you to all the volunteers!

april meeting
Before the BMO marathon, we had a brief meeting where Mr. Lee, our teacher sponsor, discussed our roles at the BMO marathon and other important information! We watched videos about how the marathon would work so we could get a better sense of what to do during the actual event.

On May 28th, from 2-6 PM at Bayview Park, White Rock, there will be a joint May Mental Health DCM to kick off the 2022-2023 term! There will be icebreakers, yoga/meditation, beach walks, and more! More information and the link to the RSVP form can be found on @pnwninjapandas on Instagram!

food bank event The Churchill and Killarney executive teams are currently working with each other to bring a fun volunteer event at the food bank this summer! Stay tuned for updates and make sure to let your friends know about it! Us in August/ September 20 21!

cutting edge Keep an eye out for Cutting Edge, as we will be bringing it back to Killarney soon! Cutting Edge is hosted to raise awareness and support those with cancer. You can choose to get your hair cut off or you can go bald! Keep an eye out for any updates from us!
