Resetting populaR game consoles by tRavis snow & Felix oRtiz Many Customers who come into our stores are looking to sell us their Video Game consoles, and many of them we need to reset to prep for a new owner to use for the first time!!! Listed below you’ll find helpful tips to get those consoles back to “ FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS” , essentially making the software like new, and ready for the next user to personalize when they get it to their home, or office. Restore Default Settings


You can restore the system software of the PS4 system to its default settings. Go to settings located on the main screen. Then Restore Default Settings, and then follow the steps on screen.

Select “Initialize PS4”

Choose the “Full Initialize” to completely wipe all saved data and users accounts from unit


Once the restore operation is done, it cannot be undone .

Do not turn off the PS4™ system during the restore operation. If you do, the system might be damaged. CONGRATS YOU’VE RESET THE PS4 & IT’S READY FOR SALE !!!


XBOX ONE :

When you are ready to reset your console to the factory default settings, follow these steps: 1. Go to the Home screen. 2. Press the Menu button on the Xbox One Wireless Controller.

3. Select Settings.

Note You can say "Xbox, go to settings" from any screen, but you'll need a wireless controller to navigate when you're on the Settings screen. 4. Select System.


5. Select Restore factory defaults.

6. Read the warning message and select Yes.


Your Xbox One console will now begin the process of erasing all content and resetting itself to the default settings.

Xbox 360 :

Returning this console to Factory Settings would be basically formatting your XBOX 360's hard drive. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.



Select Storage or Memory

Select the storage device that you want to rename, and then press Y on your controller


Select Format.

You will see the following message:


This will delete {remove} all content on this device. Do you wish to continue? Select Yes to format the storage device.

If you are asked to enter your console serial number, do so,


And then select Done. This step helps to guard against accidental formatting.

The console serial number is located on the back of the console and behind the oval


door on the front of the console.

PS3 :


Settings > System Settings > Restore PS3™ System

Restore PS3 Default Settings To Restore Default Settings: 1.

From the home menu, go to [Settings] > [System Settings] > [Restore PS3

Once you select [Restore PS3 SYSTEM], you will see a list of settings that will be restored. Scroll through them and press the X button to restore the settings. 3. 4.

After the operation is complete, you will see the initial setup screen that appeared the first time you turned on the PS3. You will need to go through the initial setup process before you can use the PS3. 5.

Also, do not confuse [Restore Default Settings] with the [Restore PS3 System] option (the next option down on the menu). The [Restore PS3 System] will not only restore the default settings, but it will also delete all hard disk content. (You will lose all saved content from your PS3 system's hard drive if you use [Restore PS3 System].)
