vibrant space that soothes the youthful soul while maintaining a balance, is the brief that was given to designer Sanjyt Syngh before he began his work on this paradisaical residence. Designed for a young professional couple, the space is meant to provide an escape from the hectic work-life fatigue and stress that informs the owners’ life. And the designer has achieved this by providing a space that is distinctly different from a formal setup, both in terms of the look and the overall ambiance of the home. Located in a quiet residential lane in South Delhi, this 2400 sq ft corner property is blessed with natural light from its threesided view. The design plan incorporates this beautifully in order to grant natural enhancement to all that lies inside. Apart from this, incredible lighting fixtures from various brands have been incorporated to render the desired contemporary glamour to the space. In fact, each space within the house is planned keeping a different concept in mind. Distinctiveness is maintained by changing colours and materials with a strong focus on the details, while at the same time being markedly different from the formal setup that corporates offer. Therefore carefully curated art has been incorporated by Sanjyt into every space, using it to render awe-inspiring character to each space with pieces from the designer’s own studio, as well as reminders of the couple’s various travels. Each space is adorned with modern furniture, in which most of the focal pieces have been manufactured and designed by Sanjyt Syngh Design Studio. The flooring is done in Botticino Classic, while the ceiling are amplified using wooden panels. The living area is specifically done in young fashion colours that is in line with their youth and personality. The dining area, that is a space where they come together to partake of food at the end of their busy day, is designed as a pristine space that transmits a sense of calm. The bedrooms have been meticulously designed, particularly the serene master bedroom that utilizes an unconventional palette. Special care was taken to incorporate a gym into the design plan, which was customized by the owner’s trainer, keeping in mind the couple’s hectic work schedules. Curated art and light has been melded into the design plan in a way that enhances the look of each space. The walls have been deliberately kept basic so as to direct focus towards the incredibly curated art and furniture accents. The place is exclusively designed in accordance with specific requirements and yet the appeal of the space is undeniably universal, both in terms of the look and the feel.
