Editor’s Note Courtney Seybold
Dear Readers, All Advent I’ve been a little more aware of how much I’ve been given, and of how comparatively easy everything has been for me. I know a lot of people who are suffering right now. I wish I could do it for them, but I don’t know if I would even be strong enough for that if it were possible. All I can do is pray and try to do better with what I’ve received. And I’ve received so much. God gives all of us so much more than we will ever deserve. Christmas is one of the best examples of this. It’s a time when we remember that God gave His Only Son, He gave us Himself, because He loves us so much and wants us to share eternity with Him. We don’t deserve that, but since He came and asked it of us, dare we refuse Him? How foolish and insulting it would be to spurn this gift which is so beyond our every imagining! This Christmas I hope to achieve a better understanding of this. The Middle Ages were a time of widespread Christianity in Western Europe, when the whole of civilization was more centered on the things of Heaven. I think we could learn a thing or two from that period, and the people who lived then. In this issue our staff share some of their favorite Christmas memories, and their various talents. You’ll also find an interview with author R. Michael, and a story from guest author Ben Evans. Happy reading, blessed Advent, and Merry Christmas to you all!
Yours Ever,
Courtney Seybold Managing Editor
