Family Fun Day with the Schoolhouse Children's Museum

on Saturday, Jan 14, from 10 AM- 2 PM. A celebration of real heroes, princess and fairytale characters and superheroes at Boynton Beach Amphitheatre in Centennial Park. Event activities include a character parade, music, meet and greet local heros (police, firefighters and military), storytelling, arts and crafts, obstacle course, free cape, shields or crowns while supplies last, face painting, magician and more! Laser Concerts at Cox Science Center & Aquarium

On the second Friday of every month, rock out with a nostalgic throwback to the classic laser light spectacles you know and love. From Daft Punk to Michael Jackson, we’re integrating music from some of the greatest artists of our time with mind-blowing laser light visuals. Please note: Laser show themes change monthly. Advance tickets go on sale on our website one month in advance of the show date. Admission to laser shows only includes a portion of Science Center exhibits. Each show lasts approximately 45 minutes. Popcorn and refreshments will be available for purchase. Cost: $11 for members; $13 for non-members *Warning: Some content within these Laser Shows is rated PG-13. Upcoming Show: January 13th 6PM | Laser Retro: Astonishing laser art is coupled with upbeat rock and pop songs from one of the most exciting periods in music: the ‘80s! 7PM | Beatles: The greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll band of all time! Laser Beatles will take you back to a different time in history to re-experience and remember the evolution of this musical phenomenon. The “Fab Four’s” best spanning 6 years becomes the background for dazzling laser-art. February 18th, 2023, 10am - 4pm. Science is sweet! During Science of Chocolate, visitors will learn the science behind how chocolate is made, the chemical properties of chocolate, as well as its potential health benefits. - Learn about the history of chocolate. - Journey back in time through our "Dinosaur Explorer" exhibit. - Enjoy complimentary tasting stations including a variety of bites drizzled in chocolate. - Get hands-on with our Cocoa Oobleck Lab, Chocolate Jeopardy, and Liquid Nitrogen Chocolate Ice Cream Demos for the entire family. This event is included with paid Science Center admission and is free for our members. Tickets purchased at the door.
