The concept of Dualism’s inspiration comes from the coexistent phenomena of sea world.Many micro creatures coexist with other plants or creatures, even there are differences among all the organisms, but they are Indispensable to each others. The whole concept are divided into three different inspirations "Entwined Continuation", "Organism Symmetry", "Fractal Geometry".

Reticular Volute | BAROQUE The concept initially comes from Baroque and takes the inspiration from Balmain and Alexander Mcqueen's fashion collections which they used the Baroque pattern with reticular layers.

Melting Rainbow | 1970s The concept comes from 1970s and takes the inspirations from high contrast of Nanda Vigo and James Turrell's lighting works and also the refraction from the water & the reflcetion from the crystal which create a rainbow melting effect.

INSPIRATION Taiwan, The country where I come from. It is an island surrounded by the sea. It's said that people who live on an island are more likely to explore the world, I have had a similar experience myself. I lived in so many places for several years from Chicago to Shanghai and Panama. My life is like an never ending adventure. Taiwan is the combination of chinese and Japanese culture. In Taiwan, tiger is symbolized as courage and fearless soul. It is the most improtant personality that keeping me travel and explore around.

The project is called ‘’ODYSSEY Planetary Voyage ’’ inspired by the solar system, taking the elements from the surface of the planets and the milky way. The whole collection revolves around the concept of universe between the futuristic & modernist. The collection can be divided into two different style. one of the style imitate and reveal the surfaces of the planets by the abstract and graphic patterns, another style reinvents the simple geometric lines forming the futuristic pattern.

THE NEW COMPOSITION

The textile and surface design initially comes from Piet Mondrian’s artworks. By using the main colors from the original works and weaving differently with various materials to create a new possibility of the surface. Unlike the original artwork which are visually flat, because they all are the paintings on canvas. in order to creating the surface structure more visible. The works was made by many diifferent materals, such as plastic mesh ropes, sequins bands also the polyester waxed ropes

• A coordinated proposal where vertical blocks of ceramic slices create a delicate 3D movement on the wall grainy surface. • A removable perfume insert can be chosen to customize the surface with the selected scent. Collection The "Summer Splash" collection can be divided into two parts. First part on the left side are casual wear. the other part of the collection are formal work clothes. all of them are using different proportion of the same print. Mixing with same color pallete as a color block for the different parts of panel on the clothes.

Feng Chi Lane

A Taiwanese Fashion & Textiles Designer with her design & business academic background who was graduated from Fu Jen Catholic University, majored in the Textile & Clothing of Fashion Design and minored the department of Advertising & Public Relations. Now her aim is to become a designer in Europe. Due to her father’s job, She had studied aboard and lived in United State, Panama and Shanghai Her style is strongly influenced by both western and eastern philosophies. In 2015, She was awarded with a scholarship from Istituto Marangoni. Now she is attending a Master’s programme in Surface and Textile Design at Istituto Marangoni School of Design in Milano.
