“HyperAthens” is a series of compound images, an attempt to portray the spatial complexity, the social diversity of the city and the inherent emotions emerging from the fusion of urban landscape and citizens. “HyperAthens” turns a mirror on the city and invites the viewer to consider both sides of the mirror : what is conventionally reflected, and at the same time the subject behind the mirror : the hidden world behind the frontage of austerity in the context of waning global significance as a historical centre of human endeavour.

Oh small speckled inhabitant : My little friend - where are you going today?

I’ll hold my fingers very still. And you can climb a finger-hill.
