Indramayu Market
Traditional Market “Priangan Cosmology On The North Coast�
Water path in the form of the sea become the main road of the relationship with the outside community. Site location is located in Indramayu Regency. Which is Indramayu Regency itself is included in coastal areas. With the location of Indramayu Regency located in this coastal area it will provide potentials that can be optimized with the presence of traditional market on the site that is expected to spur the sector to restore the glory as a maritime icon of northern Priangan.

The usual issue in traditional market is the issue of cleanliness, comfort, production, etc. It can lead to a decrease in people’s interest to shop in traditional market. Plus the existing issues on the site that is the lack of optimization of maritime potential and dynamics of the less developed community with the economy of the city.

The Majesty Of The Mosque
Cimanuk Lama River
On the south side of the site there is the Indramayu town square. which is the center of Indramayu community activity. The attitude of market orientation faces the town square as a node and similarity of activity.
On the south of the site there is also a great mosque in Indramayu. The market axis response to the mosque is made into layers of mass and landscape as a respect for the sanctity and majesty of the mosque.
On the west side of the site there is the Cimanuk Lama river. This river is used as a drainage for the surrounding area. Responding to river potential by merging the market with communal space for the community.

The mass is divided into two parts, one agricultural product / harvest and one for the sale of livestock (chicken, beef, fish). Space design to facilitate the distribution of kiosks.
Buildings are elevated to create a permeable space and give light and modern impression. In the middle part of the substract becomes innercourt for natural air and also as a communal space for visitors.
Area on the site are optimized for sustainable production with the area of vegetable harvest and fish production ponds. Landscape area can also be the attraction and also for public space

Layer Massing
The existence of the layer as a response to the mosque that is near the site, aims to be a buffer and to maintain the sanctity of the mosque
Market form is an implementation of the typology of Leuit as a storage place for harvest. Like a source maket place of community livelihood
The big opening is for air circulation and space for lights to get inside the room so it makes the space keep comfortable for public

Plaza acts as a public space for visitors. In this area there is a harvest space so the visitor can see the process what this Indramayu Market sell.

Site 8x12m sized Site is divided into 3 zones, Movie Space, Activity Space, and Public Space
Skatepark The addition of skatepark as an active activity container to trigger user activity
Skatepark as a trigger to do some activity, with a small size it makes easier to interact with each other.
MicSpace On Workshop
Collaboration boxes are made attractive and fuid, aimed at coffeeshop placement and chat room.
Framing Boxes The box is opened, without a massive area making the semiopen space to be more open.
Movie Space Movie room becomes a tentative space, which can be used in part or in the whole building.
Workshop time as a space to implementation the collaboration. For sharing Idea or to make something. This activity is tentative and can use the whole space in MicSpace

Finishing Touch Final touch in response to tropical climate and bandung. Hope this place is essential.

Movie time as a media to interact and can also be used for workshops on a large scale. This activity have time period it can be once in a week.

Coffe time aims to increase productivity and as a place to relax. With the existence of coffee shop that is aims to be an attraction for the youth people.

Strategy Integration of public space, major circulation, and learning center. This becomes a strategy of mass achievement because it is located in a public space. Learning center also serves as a bridge for the main circulation. This increases the amount of mass that can be achieved

The material used is a combination of concrete and wood with a natural color as the finishing of the facade and shot with the lights provide a warm and elegant atmosphere
