William Aparicio

I was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia in 1985. I hold a Bachelor Degree in Plastic Arts with a major in Painting, History and Theory of Art, a Specialist’s Degree in Photography and a Master's Degree in Plastic and Visual Arts from the National University of Colombia. For 10 years I have worked as a teacher of Arts and Photography at the National University of Colombia and the University Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogota. Also, I have worked as a photographer and have developed different research and creation projects related to Art and Technology. My work is multidisciplinary: I use the photographic medium, make installations and video. I am interested in reflecting on the different possibilities of the image in an ecosystem of photographic hyper production. I have exhibited my work individually on 6 occasions in Colombia and Spain, have participated in more than 40 group exhibitions, and have been awarded several prizes and distinctions.
