2019 | MEXTROPOLI PAVILION SUMA ESTUDIO

Everything begins in the memory of a collective experience. In Mexico it is common to find small mountains of gravel and sand for construction on public roads. On the side of the street or on the sidewalk; perhaps on abandoned land within the city or piled up in sparsely populated towns. When you are a child, seeing these mountains you can only think of climbing them and feel how your steps sink into that ephemeral and accidental topography that is molded by your weight. Childhood is the stage where we begin to recognize the immediate world around us through play. What we have at hand and what we find: rocks, wooden sticks, earth,

dry leaves, amazes us, fills us with curiosity and doubt. Through this experience, Tezontle Ludens seeks to connect with that memory and generate honest links through the playful and innocent exercise of our human experience. The topography is made up of tezontle of different sizes, which are shaped and transformed by the footsteps of visitors. In it, three volumes of smooth and clean concrete land and fit. Everything, contained by a large wooden bench that serves the public space as a rest and thus, becomes a “tezontlero” managing to live both directions of the pavilion. The sheets #8

at home dry in the sun, that’s where we play again as children feeling and recognizing the shape of the air. We run our hands over them and hug ourselves. 2021| METEPEC ROOFTOP SUMA ESTUDIO

This small project is located 45 minutes west of Mexico City on a 12th floor, additionally this is an area of strong winds so it needed to be completely hermetic to be habitable. The main materials were glass, steel and wood. The steel structure was mostly water jet cut to achieve greater precision and reduce human errors on site, apparent materials were used at all times and a warm atmosphere was used. Most of the furniture was proposed by the office and the concrete bar was a good opportunity to experiment with different terrazos. #14

(1519)”; a huge window that gives us enough tools to imagine ourselves in that distant valley. - What have we done to him? - We are wondering. It seems that as architects and as inhabitants of this city we are filled with melancholy for that distant city; with that lake in splendor. Like many other colleagues, we maintain that the desiccation of the lake has been the biggest mistake of this city. His domination, the fight against him and against the natural environment that surrounds us has been our immediate response. Our environment has changed, now we destroy ourselves. - What have we done to avoid it? - We ask again. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------The arquine magazine asks how we young architecture firms address climate change from the perspective of a city such as Mexico City? The question was anything but easy, there were many topics we could talk about, air pollution, water pollution, the fact that our ancestors dried up a lake where ancient Tenochtitlan was located, transportation, consumerism, overpopulation, fact that our activity as architects is one of the human activities that most affects nature, we really cannot point to a single problem, that is why we rely on the Mexican muralist tradition to try to address this problem from a systemic thinking.

2019 | TRANSITORIAL HOUSING FOR IMMIGRANTS UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL AUTÓNOMA DE MÉXICO

The National Autonomous University of Mexico has been characterized by generating a close link with the Mexican community, since its origins it opens the reflection and exchange of knowledge with society, Architecture for its part seeks in its foundations the link between spaces with the environment and its utilitarian, aesthetic, social impact is completely inherent to open reflection and ties with the cultural diversity of Mexico and the realities that cohabit in our territory. Immigrants are perceived as a threat and communities near the south border are appreciated as danger

zones, which makes them a vulnerable group characterized by discrimination, poverty and marginalization; besides not having easy -or practically zeroaccess to programs social services that guarantee their quality of life, whether temporary or permanent. Due to its location and social context, it was decided that the project would focus on the housing sector despite the recognition of various needs in terms of equipment due to the importance of the topic in a community made up of inhabitants of different nationalities who need an element that generates equity, sense of belonging and social cohesion; in addition to an adequate #24

space that influences their personal and family development. This project aims to claim the right to decent housing for any person regardless of their political, social, economic or cultural status; generating a model that adapts to the needs of the worker, taking into account the physical and sociocultural context of the region.

NOTAS DE CIMENTACIÓN: 1.- Las excavación se realizará de forma manual y cuidando de no acercarce a las colindancias las cuales se afinarán de igual manera a mano. Lo mismo que los ultimos 20 cm del fondo, con lo anterior se protegerá de alterar lo menos posible el material de desplante de la cimentacion. 2.- La profundidad de desplante indicada en la cimentación; es tomando en consideración que ya se elimino la capa vegetal y sin ningún relleno. 3.- El desplante de la cimentación se efectuará sobre una plantilla de concreto de f'c=100kg/cm2; habiendo compactado el suelo previamente y desplantando una vez retirando la capa vegetal y rellenos. 4.- No se cimentará en terreno natural ni en terreno de relleno. NOTAS DE MAMPOSTERÍA (MUROS): 1.- Los muros serán de tabique vintex 6x12x24 (f*m=40kg/cm², v*m=3kg/cm², Fr=0.80, Q=1.5), con refuerzos interiores a lo largo del muro. Las instalaciones eléctricas se alojaran en el tabique vintex, junteado con mortero tipo 1, 1:1 y deberá cumplir con la norma mexicana NOX-C-404-ONMCCE, las instalaciones hidrosanitarias y pluviales se llevaran por paños externos a muros y se cubrirán con tablacemento tipo durock. 2.- El mortero se elaborara con la cantidad de agua minima necesaria para obtener una pasta menejable, si empieza a endurecerse, podra mezclarse hasta que vuelva a tomar la consistencia adecuada agregandolo agua en caso necesario. 3.- El mortero en la juntas cubrirá totalmente las caras horizontales y verticales de las piezas. las cuales deberan saturarse de agua previamente a su colocacion. el espesor de las juntas no excederá de 1.5 cm. 4.- Los alambres corrugados de refuerzo horizontal deben ser continuos a lo largo del muro entre dos castillos, es decir, no deben traslaparse en la junta de mortero, los alambres deben estar anclados adecuadamente a los castillos, se recomienda se anclen mediante ganchos de 90 colocados dentro de los elementos confinantes, si la construccion lo requiere se pueden anclar dos o mas alambres en el mismo castillo para reforzar muros colineales o transversales de acuerdo al detalle respectivo. 5.- Para el colado de los huecos del tabique donde se aloje el refuerzo vertical podra usarse el mismo mortero que se emplea para juntear las piezas, realizandolo a cada dos hiladas como maximo. 6.- La resistencia a la compresion del concreto para castillo sera de f´c=150 kg/cm 2 7.- Se colocaran la capa de compresión con la dala de cerramiento de forma monolitica. 8.- El mortero para pegar las piezas será de 125 k g/cm² 9.- Se tomaron en cuenta los siguientes coeficientes: -Coeficiente Gravitacional:1.4 -Factor Sismico: 0.86 ZONA D-III Coeficiente: 0.86 Destino de la Obra: EQUIPAMIENTO (EDUCACIÓN) Grupo: A

8.- La separacion de los estribos verticales, se empezará a medir a partir del paño de apoyo, colocando los primeros 3 estribos @ 5 cm del peldaño de su soporte extremo. 9.-El esfuerzo corrido en las caras laterales de los elementos se anclaran en sus extremos la longitud "Lb" en escuadra horizontal o vertical. 10.-La separacion minima de las varillas será de 3 cm. medida a paños. 11.-Se proporcionará una contraflecha en las losas de L/360 al centro del claro. 12.-Al concreto de las losas se le agregará un impermeabilizante integral. 13.-Para el concreto se recomienda usar un aditivo inclusor de aire 14.-Se recomienda un curado adecuado, si el cemento es normal, los primeros 7 días deberá curarse con humedad continua, el curado posterior puede ser mediante compuesto que forme una membrana impermeable; si el cemento es de resistencia rapida, el curado húmedo será de 3 dias, el curado debe iniciarse inmediatamente después del fraguado inicial o tan pronto como se realice el acabado de la superficie; sin embargo debe evitarse rociar con agua fria areas de concreto que aún esten calientes por la hidratacion del cemento . En general durante los primeros dias deberá protegerse contra combios bruscos de temperatura. 15.-Con el objeto de tener una permeabilidad mínima se recomienda tener en cuenta los siguientes requisitos: -Máxima relación agua-cemento en peso: 0.45 -Tamaño maximo agregado grueso: 2cm, 2.5cm o 4cm. -Contenido mínimo de cemento y contenido de aire: Usar el tamaño máximo compatible con las dimensiones transversales del elemento y las separaciones de refuerzo. Preferir el agregado natural al triturado Para el concreto se tomaron en cuenta los siguientes modulos y coeficientes: TAMAÑO MAXIMO DEL AGREGADO

NOTAS DE MATERIALES: 1.- El concreto a utilizar en obra sera de un f'c≥250 kg/cm² en columnas y trabes, en losas de entrepiso, y o capas de compresión será de un f'c 200 kg/cm² y en dalas y castillos f'c 150 kg/cm² en los demás elementos con un revenimiento de ± 14 cm y agregado maximo de 2 cm. 2.- El acero de refuerzo sera de grado duro fy≥4200 kg/cm2 excepto el #2 que sera grado estructural con fy= 2530kg/cm2. 3.- No debera traslaparse mas del 50% del acero corrido en una misma sección salvo aprobacion de la DIRECCION DE LA OBRA, en cuyo caso aumentaran las longitudes de traslape del refuerzo o bien se adicionará refuerzo transversal en estas secciones. 4.- El recubrimiento libre de toda barra de refuerzo no será menor de su diametro ni menor a lo señalado a continuación: -En columnas y trabes 3.0 cm -En losas 1.5 cm En elementos colados contra el suelo, el recibrimiento mínimo, sera de 5 cm si no se usa plantilla y de 3cm si se usa plantilla. 5.- El armado de todos los castillos deberá anclarse en la cimentación a una longitud no menor de 40 cm. 6.- Para longitudes de anclaje escuadras extremas y empalmes var la tabla siguiente: 3/4h
