New Ideas With.....
Wool
Home Sign You will need: -3 types of coloured wool -Letters (We used Colemans at ÂŁ1.29) -Any glue that dries clear, we suggest a roller ball or fabric glue
Flower Decorations You will need: -The middle section of one loo roll -Some Wool -Some mini flowers (we used daisies, ÂŁ1, Poundland) 10
1. Cut the middle section of the loo roll with scissors into 3.
Start by using the ‘O’ and glue a section of the letter itself sticking the wool to it, wrapping it around the letter pulling it through the central section. to do so. Continue gluig the next section and wrapping the wool until the letter is completely covered.
Your ‘O’ should now look something like this. The other letters are slightly more challenging as you need to cover all sides of the shape. You will therefore be required to cover the shape in wool horizontally and then verticially to ensure all of the surface area is all covered.
2. Glue the outside of the circle and wrap the woll around it until all the surface is covered.
3. Place 3 of the flowers into each circle and place in desired location. 11
How to make....
.....a key holder You will need: -A peice of wood (we used a piece measuring 9cm X 5cm ) - Knotting solution -A tester pot of paint -A pencil
-A ruler or tape measure -A drill (not essential) -A printer -Tracing paper
-5 hooks -2 screw eyes -Some string -A marker pen
Get your peice of wood (it is up to you what shape you use), by cuting a length of wood from an old plank of wood and cutting the edges at an angle using a saw. The next thing you need to do is cover the knots in knotting solution, let dry and paint your desired colour. 12
Next you can decide on some fonts and shapes that you would like to be on your key holder. We found a shape on the internet and selected a font from word and printed them off to the correct size and traced around them.
For the words you will need to trace around it once and then turn it over and trace over it on the other side and finally once again on the other side onto the wood as you need the text to appear the right way around. You now need to fill this in with your marker pen.
Your font should now look something like this. If so, you are ready to mark out your key design and fill this in with marker pen.
Now you are ready to mark out a line along the center and draw 5 equally spaced dots along it. Drill holes where the dots are marked making sure not to go all the way through to the other side of the wood. 13
screw in the hooks and turn the wood over to mark out where you would like the string to hang from
Drill holes where tha marks are and screw in the hooks. Thread through the string and tie to secure in place.
Your key holder should now look something like this. All thats left for you to do is hang it on a hook and hang your keys up.

JUICY Jars Feel inspired by re-vamping glass jars. The jars used above and below were purchased for £1 for a pack of two in poundland, or upcycle old jars you have around the house such as jam jars or coconut cooking oil as we did (see right). They have multiple uses, for food, as a gift, for keeping your office bits and pieces tidy on your desk top and anything else that your imagination allows.
How we did it! Top Left: We used a 3D pearl pen (£1 from poundland) in purple to create a 3D eye of the flower and a pink 3D pen (also from poundland) to create the petals. Allow atleast 3 hours until fully dry. Middle Right: We used Lace stickers (£1 in poundland for 3 styles) to create the top and bottom pattern. Simply cut to length so the lace fully circulates aroung the jar, peel and stick in place. Tie ribbon around the center with a bow in the middle. Left Bottom: We used the same technique as above for the middle section and simply glued the other ribbon from the back and around the jar till it meets. 25
Large Photo Holder
Re- vamp an old Trellis or buy one for ÂŁ1 in poundland (as we did) and make it into a large frame which you can peg your photos on. 26

3. Print off your photos and cut arounD them leaving a 1 cm white outline.

27

4. All that is now left to do is for you to pin on your memorable things such as notes and photos.

32
