In Ghana, the traditional material for cornices, skirtings and ceiling roses is P.O.P. (Plaster of Paris) which has inherent weaknesses - Cracking when being cut and messy when being applied. P.O.P. is not waterproof or exible. NMC is both waterproof and ame retardant. Decorative ceiling roses made from P.O.P. weigh down ceilings and are heavy to work with. The NMC range is not only lightweight, decorative and strong, but it overcomes problems experienced with P.O.P. and looks great.
