IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ARED: FESPA EURASIA 2014 WILL BE LEADING THE INDUSTRY WITH ITS SEMINARS In 2013, FESPA and ARED partnered on the industry exhibition FESPA Eurasia, unifying FESPA’s extraordinary global experience and ARED’s local power. FESPA Eurasia presented 44 seminars in its first year and in 2014, ARED will be expanding the array of networking and training opportunities offered to exhibitors and visitors. During the show, ARED will host the Signage Demo with Plexiglas letter making, neon and LED application demonstrations and showcase a 3D printing area. ARED’s emphasis on education and national outreach will reflect on the guests of FESPA Eurasia 2014. High school students from the three digital signage departments, that ARED founded in partnership with FESPA, will visit the show and observe the Signage Demo. ARED’s 29 province delegates have been working hard for the promotion of FESPA Eurasia and will be bringing local industry professionals to the show from all over Turkey. The exhibition guests will have free access to creative business solutions, latest technologies and innovations and an insightful outlook on market trends through the trainings, seminars, workshops and competitions that will be hosted during the show.
PROFIT FOR PURPOSE FESPA has a unique business model as a federation for the industry; profit for purpose. FESPA reinvests surplus revenues from exhibitions and events back into the global print industry. The federation and exhibition organiser provide printers with information and tools to enhance their business performance, identify market opportunities and share best practice. This philosophy has seen reinvestment of millions of euros over the last seven years to support the digital and screen printing communities. In 2014 the Print Census was launched; an industry survey sent world-wide to collect the most recent market intelligence, providing FESPA and the industry with deeper insights into the needs of the print community. The first analysis of which will be available early next year. FESPA also invested 50,000 Turkish Lira in the Mersinli Technical and Industrial Vocational College in Izmir, Turkey, creating a brand new educational programme for budding printers. This project progresses FESPA’s substantial commitment to the region through a two-phase programme of targeted re-investment. The first phase saw the FESPA Board earmark €115,000 to support the gathering of regional market intelligence and developing pan-regional links. The second phase, instigated by the FESPA Eurasia Partner Committee, allocated a further 100,000 TL to local projects to promote wide format print.
