Welcome

Welcome to Capital Theatres’ December brochure. This is our second festive season with our beloved King’s Theatre closed for redevelopment, which can only mean one thing: The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan will bring its sparkle and joy to the Festival Theatre from the 25 November right through to the 31 December. If you have enjoyed yourself so much that you are already looking forward to next year, I am delighted to announce that our panto in 2024 will be ‘The Fairy Godmother of all Pantos’: Cinderella. As ever, Friends of Capital Theatres get an exclusive priority booking period starting Saturday 25 November. If you have four- to seven-year-olds in your party, you have the perfect excuse to join our Unicorn Christmas Party from the 8 December in The Studio. Enjoy a big festive boogie with easy-to-follow dance moves and a fabulous soundtrack of Christmas hits. Scottish Ballet’s sumptuous new version of Cinderella, Cinders! is the perfect way to extend the magic of this festive season and start the new year in style. Expect stunning costumes, breathtaking sets and exquisite dancing all round as it takes to our Festival Theatre stage from 5 to 20 January. And if you want to share your love of live performance, why not gift a show, membership or a voucher to your loved ones this winter? We have titles to suit all tastes with exciting performances to create lifelong memories. We are very grateful to have such a brilliant and loyal audience and we cannot wait to welcome you for more extraordinary experiences in one of our venues soon. Until then - warmest wishes! Fiona Gibson, CEO Capital Theatres
