In the new era, initiatives such as the production of technological products, the domestic manufacture of products which are imported from abroad, the promotion of enterprises domestically and abroad, the opening to foreign markets, new support programs which may include the introduction of improved technology products overseas market in Turkey are implemented.
New Roadmap, New Vision Stressing that SMEs are the basis of the economy, employment and industry, the president of KOSGEB, Prof. Dr. Cevahir Uzkurt, first provided information on “the support program for strategic products”. The support program for strategic products assists SMEs up to TL 5 million in order to locate and nationalize strategic products with high imports, ensure higher use of national inputs in production, improve the capacity of SMEs and large enterprises to grow together and reduce the current deficit.
370,000 TL of support for technology entrepreneurs Under the “SME Technological Product Investment Support Program“ aid amounting to TL 5 million will be allocated to SMEs wishing to improve their technological production capacity, switch to mass production and increase exports of technological products by marketing new products / products from R&D and innovation. Professor Dr. Cevahir Uzkurt, draws attention to the fact that in the framework of the “Entrepreneurship development Support program “ through the “New entrepreneurship program” much more support is given to manufacturers and Technological entrepreneurship: Manufacturers and innovative entrepreneurs receive support up to
370,000 TL and entrepreneurs operating in other traditional sectors up to 60,000 TL depending on their employment performance.
Support of 750 Thousand TL for R & D and innovation Declaring that they attach great importance to the development of SMEs and entrepreneurs with new ideas and inventions based on science and technology. Prof. Dr. Uzkurt continues with these words: “We aim to increase awareness of R & D and R & D capacities in SMEs, to develop existing R & D supports, to support innovative activities and to respond the need for support mechanisms for the commercialization of the results of R & D and innovation projects. In this context, we support our SMEs and entrepreneurs up to TRY 750,000 through the support program for R&D and innovation.“
KOSGEB alongside with SMEs abroad
Stressing that SMEs have set up mechanisms to facilitate access to international markets within the framework of the new support program implemented by the president of (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization). KOSGEB, Prof.Dr. Dr. Cevahir Uzkurt explains the details of the “ Foreign market support program” in these words. “Through ‘’ Foreign Markets Support program for “, an aid worth 300 thousand TL is provided to SMEs in order to help them improve the skills and capacities , to open up to foreign markets, to increase their market share, to make SMEs actors of international competition, to increase the number of SMEs which have started to export and to increase the number of SMEs that have started electronic commerce”,explained Uzkurt.
