TRENDING @FGCU_WBB - FGCU enters today’s game having won three straight. The matchup against Saint Francis will be the second all-time with the Eagles picking up a 75-68 win on Dec. 20, 2013, and it features two of the nation’s top five teams in 3-point field goals made per game. - Head coach Karl Smesko, with a staff comprised of all former FGCU players, won his 500th career game against American. He entered this year with a 496-114 record (.813), which ranked him as the 3rd winningest active D-I head coach behind Geno Auriemma (1,027-136, .883) and Kim Mulkey (539-98, .846). He passed Tara VanDerveer (1,036-242, .811) last year to become the 5th-winningest of all-time and ranks among the top 20 winningest coaches all-time across all divisions. - Over the past four seasons, Smesko guided FGCU to 121 wins, which is the most among all mid-majors and seventh-most among any Division-I program – behind UConn (148), Notre Dame (137), Baylor (135), South Carolina (129), Mississippi State (126) and Maryland (123). On top of that, the program is one of only six Division-I teams with three 30-win seasons during that stretch – joining UConn, Baylor, Notre Dame, Maryland and South Carolina. - Smesko has produced a level of sustained success matched by few others as he has guided the Eagles to eight-straight 25-win seasons and 14-straight 20-win seasons.

Chandler Ryan attempts a 3-pointer in last Wednesday’s win over Houston. The redshirt sophomore drained four 3-pointers for the fourth time this season en route to a career-high 19 points. For her efforts, she was named the ASUN player of the week for the first time.
